We booked Martinique in May 2024 for January 17 to February 28, 2025 On the 15 Janauary 2025 our arrival was confirmed by landlord Fernando. A day before our arrival we received a message from a property team advising they double booked us and they have to move us to another location or provide us a refund. We pled to them that we needed to stay at the Martinique as our daughter would be staying there as well, it fell on deaf ears and we were forced to take the alternative location Ferrera Apartments with a partial refund. (This place is residential not for tourist) We asked if our daughter can stay with us and if she needs to be registered. We were assured she could stay and no registration was required. Day one, we had no hot water in the unit, when we asked we were told the unit is not capable of hot water. Never advised of this. Our daughter arrived a few days later and was denied access. We were told to find another place. They didn’t care about the well being and safety of our daughter. Three hours in the lobby pleading to property management team of Caroline, Daniel and Erika, they advised we can stay in another unit, we had no choice but to accept. This apartment had no stove for a week and black mold covering the return vent. We advised we wanted to leave and receive a refund for the remaining of our stay. Refund was denied. We walked away with three weeks remaining and we found a new place. They even admitted our exp was absurd. All communication has been documented
