We absolutely loved our stay at this home. The backyard was perfect for our family. The kids enjoyed the playground and we enjoyed the views and the deck. The entire house was very clean and everything was there that we could ever need. Highly recommend!
If you’re staying in Colorado Springs there is no better place to stay. The property had an abundant amount of space for our clan which ages range of 8 to 77.
This is a Hidden Gem!
Our family came in from 4 states for a family wedding.
This home was perfect for all of us.
The kitchen had everything we needed & we enjoyed the back deck for several of our meals.
Our granddaughter enjoyed the swing set & we all enjoyed the game room.
It was a perfect location for doing some site seeing while we were in Colorado.
We would definitely recommend this home for a family stay.
We had a great stay for our visit to Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, and rafting in the Royal Gorge. The house was very well stocked with everything you could need and in a great location. The teens loved the lower level rec room that had air hockey, ping pong, and a large TV.
We had an amazing time! The house is beautiful and exactly as described! Our kids enjoyed playing ping pong and watching movies in the theater room! We were a family of 8 and there was plenty of room for us to spread out. Thanks Wendy for allowing us to stay in your amazing home 😀
We loved the location of this home. Felt very safe for our kids and they enjoyed the backyard and the short walk to a park/ playground. The house was very clean and had great space for everyone. The only reason this home is getting 4 stars is because it was uncomfortably hot during the day because the A/C wasn’t working properly.

Incredible
The home itself is very beautiful - spacious and ideal for a large family. The location was also perfect. We've stayed in other houses on previous visits to Colorado Springs and we will definitely try to plan all future stays in this home. A+
Very, very comfortable with a great location. Kitchen had an amazing amount of appliances, cookware and dinnerware. We didn’t use the outdoor patio because our evenings were at a relative’s nearby home and days were filled with local hiking and other activities.
We had a problem with the security system but owner remedied our issue.
My best friend and I brought our families to CO Springs for the first time and this place was in the most perfect location for everything we did! The house was great for families and had a fenced in backyard with a great play set that the kids spent a lot of time on in the evenings when we grilled and the adults enjoyed a beverage! The house is within 5 minutes from the entrance to Garden of the Gods, and less than 10 minutes to Manitou Springs! The kids really enjoyed seeing mule deer in the mountains behind the fence in the backyard in the evenings!!

Excellent location
The location of the house was great, minutes from everything. Wonderful house with everything you need. The kids loved the ping pong table. The beds were very comfortable. My wife and I have a king size bed but we slept fine in the master queen. I won’t even look for another place to stay, we will try to book this one again when we return to Colorado Springs. Troy and Wendy were very accommodating for all our needs. Thanks again.
We recently stayed at Wendy's property with our family of 8 adults and two children while in town for our son's wedding which was in the Garden of the Gods, The property was very well furnished and plenty of room and conveniently located to access several sites such as Manitou Springs, Old Colorado City, Garden of the Gods, and Pikes Peak. I would suggest taking the Cog/Train up to Pikes Peak however, the drive up can be a bit stressful and slow. but very much worth the visit. Wendys has the home decorated with several of her prints of the area scenery which were absolute gorgeous. Our two grandchildren very much enjoyed the fenced in yard with its own little playground for them. Although we didnt do any meal preparations, as we were always on the go, the kitchen was well equipment, clean and spacious. I would give the property 6 stars on a scale of 1 to 5. Thank you Wendy for sharing your property will definitely love to come back soon.

Good location--some issues with house
I gave 2 stars for the good location of the home and the fact it is nicely furnished. I took off 3 stars for the rest of the issues we had. The air conditioning was insufficient and sleeping was uncomfortable. The owners left personal items all over which made it hard to feel comfortable. (27 framed family photos, used soap/razor in shower, half eaten food, gift cards/credit cards, grocery lists). The phone rang often and we had to sign for their personal package delivery as well as talk to contractors who stopped by to repair sprinkler system. All in all, it was not relaxing and I would not stay here again.
The stay was mostly great! Large home with great space, in a great neighborhood, centrally located to all our activities. However, the hvac system seems to need an upgrade as the south facing rooms were continually hot and required opening windows and using box fans to keep cool at night. This resulted in my niece getting sick and having to miss out on 2 days of activities. The beds weren’t as comfortable as desired as all of them had huge dips in the middle and seemed more than well used. For the price I would request an upgrade to the ac system and beds. Also the jacuzzi clearly has not been used in a very long time as there were large chunks of gunk came out of the jets upon trying to use it. Most likely won’t stay here again unless the beds and hvac are updated. Great communication with the owner/very nice, however my niece getting sick due to the poor ventilation was enough to look elsewhere next time.
This home was exactly what we needed for our trip. It was very clean and the listing was very accurate. It was also a great location for the activities we planned and just a short walk to a playground which was great since we had our toddler with us. We had a great time!
The house is very nice and is in a beautiful neighborhood.. The location was perfect for exploring Colorado. We had an excellent time. Everything was as described online. Thanks for letting us rent your home.
Beautiful house- close to Garden of the Gods and other Colorado Springs attractions. Ping pong table a fun addition. AC a bit underpowered for one or two particularly hot August nights but overall a fantastic place to stay. Thank you for letting us stay at your home!
It was the perfect house for our family to take a summer vacation to Colorado Springs. Being only a couple minutes from Garden of the Gods was an amazing feature we took advantage of during the trip.
We decided to stay here over the Presidents’ Day weekend for a quick staycation. The house was accommodating and welcoming. It was quick to get to our favorites in Colorado Springs. During our stay, temps were below zero, and the house stayed warm and cozy for us.
This house was perfect for our families. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Plenty of space and a beautiful view. Couldn’t recommend enough.
The Mountain Shadows home is nestled in a neighborhood that is great for short walks. Upon arrival, we found the home to be well maintained, comfy, welcoming, clean and fully stocked for our family gathering.
Perfectly located, we took lots of day trips to nearby Garden of the Gods, City of Colorado Springs(both old and new) and Manitou Springs. In the evening we played the games provided at the home and held ping pong matches in their large family room. So much fun, we wish we could have stayed longer.
Overall our stay was a great experience!
Property was in an awesome location. The views were remarkable. The house was immaculate and an incredible place to spend time with my family. I would recommend the house to everyone

Why they chose this property
After graduating from college, we settled down in the Colorado Springs wanting to be in an area that would allow us quick and easy access to outdoor recreation, conveniences of the city, outstanding opportunities to host gatherings in our home/backyard as well as nearby adventures for the entire family.

The views quiet, serene environment are truly unbelievable. Many wildlife animals grace their presence in/around our house -- from deer, rabbits, and bighorn sheep on the bluff behind us.
