North Conway is located about 40 minutes away, and offers outlet shopping, many restaurants, and outdoor recreation in the White Mountains. Kids will certainly enjoy a ride on the train to the top of Mount Washington and a trip to the ice cream shop when visiting the area.

In the winter, you'll have the opportunity to ski and board at several ski resorts in the area. Shawnee Peak is just down the road, while Sunday River is about an hours drive. There are snowmobile trails throughout the region. Winter is also a great time to take advantage of ice fishing on the lake.

Also on the property is an owner’s cottage, and when the owner/s are around, they’d be happy to prepare a comforting breakfast for an additional fee.

And finally…blueberries. If you happen to be vacationing in summer when the blueberries have ripened, make sure to bring your pail!

Great accommodations and superb location

Our multi-generational family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Blueberry house. The dock was great for our rented pontoon boat and the beach was great for launching the provided kayaks and canoe. We enjoyed jumping from the raft off the beach and swimming in the lake water. The sunsets were spectacular and the loons provided a magical setting. The cottage had plenty of room to accomodate the 5 of us. The kitchen was well stocked so we were easily able to prepare meals. The porch off the boathouse with the comfortable rockers and swing was an added bonus. Smores by the fire pit were a fun way to end an evening. It was also hard to resist all the blueberries surrounding the house. Great find.

Great week

Lovely location, gorgeous lake and a very comfortable, well-equipped house. Loved the kayaks and easy access to the lake. Elizabeth was responsive with a few issues - upon arrival the access code did not work ( tried by all of us) and fortunately we were able to enter through the garage door. We did not find any instructions or recommendations for restaurants, hikes etc but she kindly sent recommendations upon request. We would highly recommend the Mineral and Gem museum in Bethel - way beyond our expectations!

Great spot for a family

Had a wonderful week at the Blueberry House. The house was clean and we’ll suited for two families. We spent lots of time swimming to the dock and using the various fishing, swimming, and watersports equipment. Beautiful spot on the lake.

Fantastic location & house

Our family of four had an awesome stay at the Blueberry House. The location is hard to beat with water views throughout the house and property, giving daily access to beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The house itself is well appointed and laid out great for families with everything you need inside as well as outside with kayaks, floats, etc. Topping it off, Elizabeth was informative and responsive to ensure a relaxing and fun vacation.

The perfect vacation

I rented the Blueberry House as a Christmas gift for my family. I had been to Kezar Lake previously and wanted them to experience its beauty. From the instant we arrived, it was clear that I had knocked it out of the park. Nothing could have prepared us for how beautiful the house was. The pictures do not do it justice. There was so much room to relax and every spot in the house had a picture-perfect view. We made good use of the provided kayaks and even enjoyed a night by the fire. The loons were gracious enough to greet us every morning and even posed for some spectacular photos. Elizabeth was quick to respond to any questions and was very pleasant and easy to communicate with. The pre-arrival instructions she sent had all the information we needed. I will never forget our week at the Blueberry House or the expression on my mom’s face when she arrived. My dad, who has always been a die-hard ocean lover, is already talking about booking this spot on the lake next year. Hopefully we can get there a little earlier in the summer and pick some Maine blueberries!

Blueberry House 2021

Our family of 10, grandparents and two sets of family of four enjoyed another fun, action filled week at our favorite Blueberry House. The location of this lovely home is ideal, surrounded by water on three sides so the property affords super water access for fishing, and a variety of boating choices; we took advantage of lots of fishing, water skiing, canoeing / kayaking/paddle boarding and of course swimming from the dock on one side or the raft on the other side. The property is also very private, at the end of the camp road leading to its little peninsula which provides the kids with a bit more freedom to do their thing without us worrying about our neighbors. The accommodations for us work well in that we ate in for all meals except one night at a local restaurant, new bar-b-q grill was used every night, the kitchen adequately equipped to prepare meals for the group of ten & needless to say we ate really well, another highlight of our annual excursion here. Post dinner the kids “retired” to the video room watching old movies from a collection provided. Campfires every night closed out our day & all retiring to the sounds of loons & our sleeping accommodations which in our case included a room in the boathouse, the preferred location for one of the couples. On the improvement side, more bath towels are needed and wine glasses would round out the adult social experience. Overall, the home and property location are ideal, well-equipped and we love the atmosphere but may be considered rustic to some but does provide a genuine MAINE lake experience !! For us, IDEAL & WE WILL BE BACK !!

Beautiful home in a great location

Got away from it all for a week with the family and we loved our stay at Elizabeth's house! We had some heating issues when we first arrived and owner was extremely quick to respond; people were there to fix it within an hour. Owner could not have been more responsive or more gracious about the whole situation, we really appreciate it! House was large, beautiful, and on an incredible location right on the lake. We got in some skiing, walked on the ice, and took some walks around the beautiful neighborhood. Would highly recommend and would love to return in the near future. Thanks again for everything!

Blueberry House was everything they said it was. The views were fantastic.

Overall everything was fabulous, a couple of small things that need attention: the kitchen faucet does not work very well and the insta hot did not work, had to wash pots in the laundry sink. We never could figure out which light switch worked the light over the stove, we even changed the bulb. We really loved the boat house porch for reading and relaxing, I would trim a few saplings for better viewing of the loons. We brought our boat and the boat dock was perfect. The swim area is second to none, the house came with everything you could think of for swimming, kayaking and canoeing. Save your self the trouble of packing life jackets, inner tubes, floats and such. They had a few fishing rods that were ok, also had some lures. If you’re a serious about your fishing bring your gear, but for the kids it’s great. Now for the blueberries, so many! We had berry’s for 2 weeks, picked a quart a day and never ran out. The house really lives up to its name. To sum things up, this is one great vacation spot, we would rent it again!

A great property, private and very accommodating and provided a fun filled & relaxing week!

From the moment we drove onto the property and walked into this wonderful home we knew we were going to have a fun filled week. The home is warm, inviting, open concept and very well equipped which handled our party of 6 adults and 4 children quite well. Sleeping arrangements for the adults was better managed with a queen blow up mattress converting one of the sitting rooms at sleep time rather than using the loft which was also used by the kids when they wanted some privacy playing board games. Being on a peninsula, the property provides total privacy, great views from all of the windows, several swimming & fishing escapades from multiple sides and the dock and raft proved to be the favorite spot for the kids. Some mornings the kids were out there at the crack of dawn fishing while in their pajamas and all proved to be quite the anglers, the KESAR lake fish were very accommodating. A real plus is that Liz provides a canoe, kayaks, tubes, fishing gear and other outdoor games which added another dimension to enjoying the lake & shoreline. The days flew by and were topped off by warm crackling campfires and sounds of the loons breaking the noted silence of the lake & wilderness. A wonderful and relaxing week had by ALL !

Beautiful, roomy, comfortable woodsy home surrounded by water.

This house was just what I was looking for, to get my family together for a week. It was on a gorgeous lake where we could sit with coffee and a book on the sunny dock in the morning and watch boats, water, and wildlife. There was a sort of boat house with canoe, kayaks, life jackets, water skis, masks, snorkels - everything you would need for water sports and exploration. Feet away was a sandy area to go in for a swim to the raft or launch a kayak. The lake is filled with nooks and crannies to explore, and elusive loons, surrounded by mountain views. The inside was very roomy, a post and beam style with knotty pine throughout. Cozy comfortable feeling in every room, a great kitchen with all the fixings. Lots of artistic, whimsical details in every room. Washer, dryer, fireplace, books for all ages, maps and guides, lots of different spaces to be, indoors and out. The house was located on the less sunny side of the lake, and was shaded and a little cool in the morning. I wished there was a little more sandy sunny beach. We swam morning, noon, and night, so this was not a problem. On the one rainy day we had, we built a fire and read, snoozed, and chatted. We could look outside at the lake and see the weather evolve and turn into a sunny evening, just right for another swim. We hated to leave.
