Unusually for a house in such a central location Casa Olivo offers generous outdoor space - Moroccan courtyard, rear garden with pool, shower and outdoor kitchen and a large roof terrace which enjoys breath-taking views over the rooftops and the church, down the valley to the Mediterranean and on a good day as far as Morocco!
The well laid out accommodation comprises three bedrooms (two with king size beds and one with a single bed and an additional inflatable mattress). The two contemporary shower rooms have large shower enclosures with power showers. The Andalucian style kitchen is fitted with quality appliances including oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. it is well equipped with toaster, kettle, coffee machine, crockery, cutlery and utensils and is open plan to an upper hallway and raised dining area. Doors lead from both the kitchen and the hallway to a lovely Moroccan style courtyard with wall fountain. There is also a utility room with a third toilet, a washing machine, storage for bicycles and a separate street entrance. The spacious and comfortable lounge is at the top of the house and enjoys vies over the rooftops. There guests will find a wood burning stove, a Smart TV, books and board games. The whole house has been tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard. Stairs lead up from the living room to the roof terrace where there is dining for 6 people. The enclosed garden with olive tree is a perfect place to relax in the sun or shade on one of the sun loungers. The mosaic tiled pool is in use March- end of September and is a real advantage. Competa itself is one of the most beautiful villages in Andalucia and is about an hours drive from Malaga. It is on the edge of the natural park making it an ideal base for walkers or cyclists and approximately half an hour from the coast where you can find sandy beaches. The village itself offers a selection of over 20 tapas bars and restaurants and you can often find live music or flamenco dancing. There are interesting shops and a market every Saturday as well as a museum and the beautiful church in the centre of the village.
