This property is really lovely for a place to stay in Torrey, especially if you have kids-- it worked perfectly for us. Just a really smart layout for families, and the owner clearly anticipated the needs of a young family; there are kid-friendly dishes in the cupboard, a few toys around, etc. It was every bit as nice as advertised. The patio could use a little work but I get the impression that's forthcoming, and honestly, the views are so overwhelming you'll hardly care.
My only other notes would be that, one, communication was a little lacking-- I had to reach out specifically to get check-in instructions, and had to reach out again for guidance on what the owner wanted for checking out. That said, the owner was polite, friendly, and responsive, just not as "on top of it" as you might expect in a rental situation like this. I think that could probably be cleared up just by automating information a little better-- posting check-out instructions inside somewhere, sending out check-in info automatically, etc. The other thing is about the neighborhood, which was totally fine by us (it's certainly plenty safe, etc.), but is sort of... just odd, overall. Torrey seems, on the whole, to be very much in transition, I guess? Within site of the property are both really upscale, large, well-maintained homes, and what are almost literally lean-tos and shabbily maintained semi-permanent homes parked on properties. This was all fine by us-- it's all very safe-- and if you're going to visit Torrey (which you should! Capitol Reef is *awesome*) it's going to be about the same everywhere. So we don't hold it against this rental whatsoever, it's just worth knowing in advance.
Overall, minor notes aside, this is an excellent choice for your Capitol Reef trip. A lovely place to decamp after spending time in the most criminally underappreciated natural park in the west.
