The 395 Retreat With Great Views

5 acres semi-secluded. Very peaceful and quiet. In the middle of tons of outdoor adventures. Dirt bike riding right out of the property with miles of desert for your pleasure. Four wheeling in the local Sierra canyons with magnificent views. There's hiking, mountain biking for miles. Great fishing within an hours drive, my husband is an avid fisherman and he can tell you about his hot spots. Deer hunters or other hunters, we are very close to d8, d9, and x10 zones. Take a day drive to Death Valley or up to the Giant Sequoias. The property is on a dirt road so you can take off with your motorcycles, mountain bikes, 4-Wheelers right from the property. Plenty of room to park trailers on property. Property has nice game room with pool table, darts, and blue tooth speakers that you can set up your phone to. Modular home is totally remodeled and everything is brand new! One queen bed in each of the two bedrooms and one queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Nice rock fire pit on site, bring the s'mores! Sweet star gazing deck for night time activities, looking at the millions of stars, watching the breathtaking sunsets, or day time to lay out and get some sun. My husband and I are available to give you tips on places to go depending on your activity, only a text away. We have lived in the area for 40 plus years.

Perfect stay

The location was perfect for our quick stay. There are two bedrooms on the opposite sides of the house from each other which was great. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. We would love to return.

Inyokern on tge way to Mammoth Lakes

This property is a perfect stop to break up a long drive from southern California. Very quiet and yet very convenient off 395. The viewing deck is perfect for an evening sunset and morning sunrise. Very well kept and very clean.

Death Valley

Great stay! We were here only a short time, as this was our jump off point to Death Valley. I did a fair amount of research and I think this is the closest you can get in a rental home (vs campground) coming to DVNP from the south/west. In that respect it’s about a 1 hr scenic drive to the western entrance of DVNP We arrived after dark, but checkin was super easy and amenities were nice and as advertised-we grilled outside, had a fire in the fire pit, and enjoyed both the game room (billiards and darts - with space heaters) and star gazing on the roof of the game room. The property is a short drive from town, which had a couple bars, restaurants and gas/EV charger the house was well appointed, and a fair amount of “staples” - coffee, sugar, cooking supplies and most non refrigerated items etc Host was responsive and accessible. Would certainly come again!

Family Visit

Such a cute place! I can't wait to check it out again during warmer weather, so I can enjoy the outdoor space. It's a large lot, so it's private with amazing views. The inside space was cozy and had everything you needed. There was even a little welcome basket, which was so sweet. The owner was super responsive and provided all of necessary details, which made checking in easy.

Beautiful in the desert

Great place, highly recommend. Directions are good, we had no issues finding the home. Check in was easy, no issues. The home is immaculate and well appointed (cooking utensils, towels, etc) Very comfortable beds and rooms. The cooler was very effective on that 105F day. Gorgeous yard and landscaping, they put a lot of thought and effort into the surrounds ... again, very clean. We really enjoyed sitting up on the view deck and watched the sunset and blowing sands up on the mountain (neat effect from the winds in the mountains). It was a great, comfortable stopping place for us in the middle of the desert as we traveled through California. Thanks!

Great cozy desert getaway!

We had an amazing time at this cozy home. Large yard with game room and open upstairs to stargaze. Perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the desert landscape. Everything was cleaned well and very welcoming.

So many amenities!!! Quiet and lovely!

We truly enjoyed the peaceful stay. The owners thought of all the details! So many places to sit outside and relax. We could have stayed here longer just de-stressing. We visited Death Valley so we didn’t stay all day and night at the rental but did want to watch some cable movies when we got home. That’s my only critique-we were only able to access the music channels :( other than that it was a gorgeous little place!

Nice house in Quiet Neighborhood

The house is nice and located in a quiet neighborhood. It’s a perfect place for star gazing and we enjoyed it with clear sky. Overall, the house is clean. But unfortunately, the kitchen and the utensils were re not that clean. We found grease on the mugs and the plates. The oven was dirty and greasy, and there was not baking sheet except a tiny metal sheet. The BBQ grill was not working and there was no gas. We planned to do a BBQ but ended up with lots of work to get the food cooked. Anyway, Vanessa is nice and thoughtful. She checked on us for our arrival since there was storm and snow. Thank you.

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at this quiet, adorable desert retreat. The home was clean, well kept with wonderful, up to date accommodations. We were comfortable and felt well cared for...our owners thought of everything from wood for the fire pit, briquettes for the barbecue, and luxurious sheets and towels for our comfort. A true desert retreat

This was a delightful accommodation. Perfect location for exploring and hiking the surrounding areas. The owners have gone to a lot of work to provide a lovely setting in the desert. I especially enjoyed my morning coffee and the beautiful views from the roof-top deck. The kitchen could use a few of the basic cooking equipment,like strainer, mixing bowls casserole and a grater. The owner was also very quick to respond to my questions. She also provided excellent information about the area and hike. I would stay here again. M A Dann

Wonderful Accommodation and Host!

Highly recommend if you need to stay over in this area. Hosts home and property so nice! The little wildlife viewing area was such a nice touch as was the fire pit path and area.
