The cottage was a perfect little house for a family of four. The location was perfect for riding bikes and proximity to wonderful beaches. Craig was responsive and a great host. I would definitely recommend this house.
My family and I had a great stay! This was our first trip to Cape Cod and we really lucked out in finding this spot!
The house is in a fantastic location, only a short distance to many area beaches, the library, a fun gem shop, a little corner store, about 40 minutes to P-Town.
I was attending a conference at the Cape Cod Institute and the house is very close to the bike path, and it was just a 3-mile bike ride to the CCI, or a 10-minute drive.
The house and property were very clean and cared for. We did happen to come during a heat wave however the owner had provided several fans that helped us stay cool. And with the windows open there was also a nice breeze most days.
There was a basement that was perfect for storing our bikes, that was a nice convenience. All the appliances worked great, and the house had all the kitchen items that we needed for the week. The outdoor shower was great for getting the sand off after a day at the beach! There's a great porch with a patio table, perfect for meals outside.
We will be back!
Basic cape cod style cottage on a huge lot - beds were new and very comfortable, bathroom has been updated, but kitchen is old and quite dark but has what you need. Great location for getting to beaches, rail path and other parts of the Cape. Cottage was very clean. We enjoyed our stay.
The location was great. There was no air conditioner just a few dusty fans. The lighting in the living room consisted of two reading lamps. It was minimalistic but the living room area was comfortable after a beach day. There was a whole in the bathroom door - just wondering why that couldn’t be replaced for the amount we are spending.
House is small and basic but had everything that we needed to make this a very lovely week.
We slept really well as the bed was extremely comfortable.
The location was near a lovely pond (GreatPond)
& easy to get to other towns & beaches.
Overall, everything was absolutely fine. My only complaint would be that without air conditioning on a very hot, humid week. I was very uncomfortable. Not the fault of the owners. Normally there’s a breeze at the Cape, but there was none so it was tough to take but very nice area, easy access to everything. Great for walking and getting to the Suprette.
Very cute, well-stocked cottage convenient to Cape Cod Institute as well as lovely ocean and bay beaches, ponds, restaurants, and shops. Craig was accommodating and conscientious, helping us with any issues and following up to make sure we were satisfied.
Everything was up to our expectations. We wanted a location that was close to the Rail Trail for biking and this was perfect for that. It also has a bay beach about 1.5 miles down the street and all that Eastham has to offer. Good golfing and restaurants near by, with a drive in movie theater just up the road and plenty of ice cream choices. Very clean home and host was great at communicaion. We enjoyed our stay.
We have summered on Cape Cod for many years and have always enjoyed minimalist, simple and "Cape Cod" living. This cottage was clean, efficient and totally as described. The location was perfect for us. We would use again. The owner met us there during checkin and supplied us with contact info and encouragement to contact for any reason. We appreciated that.
Great little spot. Convenient to everything, yet quiet. Perfect for a couple or small family. Clean, up to date conveniences and appliances. Eastham is the perfect spot on Cape Cod.
I stayed here with my family of four at the end of summer. The house is small and modest but has everything you need from kitchen things to a washer and dryer. Seems the owner has made upgrades here and there. My kids were comfortable in the room with two twin beds. Outdoor shower is also a huge plus after days at beaches and ponds. The home is right off route 6, though tucked away and private, and very convenient to everything the outer cape has to offer including the national seashore, Welfleet drive in and Ptown. Recommend getting a pass to Eastham beaches if you’re staying for a few days or a week. Though not the fanciest house, it’s location and great value make it a wonderful spot to stay.
This was a perfect spot for our family vacation this past August - a nice quiet location very close to the bike path, the library, the Eastham windmill, and a small store. It was clean and cozy, and we loved the outdoor shower and clothesline. The kitchen was well-equipped, and there was laundry in the basement and space to store bikes. Also good communication with the owner Craig. Would definitely recommend!
This property was super cute and very classic Cape. We were only about 1/2 mile away from the bike path which we really enjoyed. It was a 5 minute walk to the local corner market for grocery items which was convenient. The location was quiet and having the washer/dryer really helped out.
Small house tucked away from the main road but a few minutes walk to a great pond for swimming, the library, the Superette, and the rail trail. First Encounter beach is an easy bike ride or 5 min drive away. Fantastic, large outdoor shower. Kitchen is a little musty and could use an update, and some screens need replacing, but overall a good home base!
This modest house had everything we needed for a 10-day stay. It was perfect for the two of us. Some of the things we really liked: a great queen-size bed, a well-equipped kitchen, a walk-in lower level for storing bikes and doing laundry, good reading lights in the bedrooms, and even a clothesline which was handy for beach towels and such.
The house is surrounded by trees on a short dirt road off the main street, near Route 6, but very quiet, near access to a pond, very close to the bike path, steps away from a market, and the beautiful public library. The owner was easily available for any questions and checked in with us mid-visit. We had a great experience and hope to rent again.
My son, daughter in law and 2 young daughters stayed here. Location was wonderful- walking distance to Eastham Superette, Bike Trail, Depot Pond, Library. Right off Rt 6, easy drive to a Orleans for shopping (Stop n Shop, Christmas Tree Shop, TJ Max, Papa Ginos, etc)
Craig was terrific host with helpful info and always in communication for any issues.
Bathroom in cottage very nice and loved outdoor shower . Very happy with our experience!
I and my two young adult children had a very nice stay at this property. The owner described the cottage well before I arrived. The kitchen was well equipped for us to enjoy cooking together. It is in enough of an alcove to be quiet and feel secluded. The outdoor shower is a plus. All in all, a good week..
Great spot for a Cape stay. Adjacent to the bike path. Coast Guard, Marconi, and First Encounters beaches. Ponds. Food. Comfortable house with an outdoor shower and deck for some seafood grilling. Quiet, even though it's right off Rt. 6.
My boyfriend and I loved staying in this cottage. It’s on a lovely secluded side street in Eastham, just 2 short blocks from The Rail Trail and minutes from Arnold’s and First Encounter beach. Perfect for a couple or family of four. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor shower as well after a fun day at the beach. Craig is super communicative, helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again!
Great location, perfect for families with young children
The house is perfectly located. It's right off Route 6 but on a quiet, unpaved road. It's also a short drive to First Encounter Beach (bay side) and Coast Guard beach (ocean side), and near a supermarket. For families with young children you couldn't ask for anything better. And the house itself is very charming. It has a classic Cape Cod look and feel.
I would certainly stay here again!

I grew up in Eastham and I still love to spend time down there when I can. Let me know your interests and I will try to connect you, such as bike trails, deep sea fishing, hiking or restaurants.
Why they chose this property
This property is very quiet, you cannot hear the roar of the highway but you are still waking distance to Eastham superette, new town library and many summer functions at the windmill common. The bike trail is less than a 1/4 mile down Samoset road and you can drive to the many bay beaches without traveling on the busy Rt 6.
