Renowned for outdoor activities, the Arrochar Alps has some dramatic slopes to climb including the Cobbler, also known as Ben Arthur which has a 2946 feet high climb. Loch Lomond is a mere 2 miles away and nature spotting, hill walking, mountain biking as well as other outdoor pursuits are available in this unspoilt area. Guests who wish to explore the area by boat can enjoy a cruise on Loch Lomond or take a trip in a sea plane. Loch Long is popular for scuba diving and this area has many championship and local golf courses. Glasgow is only 45 minutes’ drive, or if you prefer to leave the car, the local railway station has a regular timetable which will take you into the city centre with theatres, galleries, designer shopping, tourist attractions, restaurants and bars. Shop, pub and restaurant 300 yards.
Pets are welcome at The Lodge for a small additional cleaning fee.

Breathtaking views
Good sized lodge and very clean. Light and airy with floor to ceiling glass panels that give full views of the amazing scenery. The views are stunning, I simply cannot say how beautiful it was to look down the loch from the lodge. Hot tub was a god send after a long day walking. Very roomy and has comfy steps to get in and out. Even had towels provided for it-thoughtful touch. Had all the amenities needed to make the stay easy, ie washing machine, microwave, dishwasher etc Lots of extras such as herbs, oils, cling film, foil etc. Again thoughtful touches. Has a steep, gravelly drive but our 4 wheel drive car was ok with it. I see myself coming back again, my husband and I loved it. A real get away break.

FABULOUS DARLING!
This is the first time since we've been together in nearly 18years we've been on holiday and it's the first time in 30years since my partner has had a holiday. The property and location were just what we were both hoping for. We had an easy relaxing time despite the rubbish weather except on Tuesday when the sun shone. Thank you to all who made our stay fab🙏😀👍🌞

First class property and views over loch long and Ben Arthur, could not ask for a more stunning property, clean ,our one gripe was the drive, which is very steep and pot holed, this could do with some attention we do not have a 4x4.apart from that fantastic property.

Magical home from home
We stayed for 7 nights and every morning was a joy looking out on the Loch and mountains. Positioned perfectly for being secluded, but in easy walking distance for shops, pubs and restaurants. The lodge it’s self is beautiful equipped and very comfortable and we enjoyed staying in chilling with a glass of wine. Add to this the hot tub , the stag in the garden , red squirrels in the trees and house matins fly over head , all made are holiday fantastic and we were sorry to leave.

Lovely lodge with great views
We really enjoyed our stay at the Lodge, although both of us found the beds uncomfortable as the mattresses were poor quality. We had no hot water on the first morning, however the hosts realised someone had switched it off by mistake and the switch was located in a difficult place to find, so it was fine as soon as we were told what to do. Sometimes there was no service for our mobiles but that may have been due to the recent storms. One of the ensuite showers was quite grubby round the outside and the grouting inside the shower was black with mould, which wasn't very nice and needs to be remedied. Aside from that, the lodge was very clean and cosy and well equipped. The hot tub was great, however, we were slightly disappointed by the traffic noise as the Lodge looks far more remote than it actually is and it was very close to a busy road.

Lovely lodge and location
Lovely lodge, perfect for a romantic stay or a small family gathering. The reasons I’m rating this accommodation 4 star are the following: The entrance to the property is through a very steep grabble path, not easy to park. The communication with the owner was a bit flaky. She never acknowledged two emails we sent regarding the jacuzzi and another one letting her know we had left the dish washer on when we checked out. In our opinion someone should always be contactable in case of any emergencies! Also a delivery guy knocked at the door to drop a parcel for the owner, which we thought it was a bit intrusive when you are there to relax and enjoy the countryside … In general it was a lovely stay but we won’t come back. Also the bed was very uncomfortable, but that’s just personal taste.
