The Space:
Located on the fourth floor of Hudsons Yard House, The Penthouse has a cool colour palette with mixed metal furnishings and touches of marble throughout.
The view from the master bedroom is a must see so if you’re looking for somewhere that little bit special to stay The Penthouse is it.
Through the front door of the apartment you walk directly into the large open plan living, dining and kitchen area. You are welcomed by streams of natural light and wooden beams which frame the apex of the roof.
The property has a high gloss light grey, L-shaped kitchen. Fully equipped with everything you will need for your stay, including the basics of oven, ceramic hob, microwave and fridge to the little luxury of a dishwasher.
The dining area features a solid marble top dining table with a multi wire gold base and black velvet chairs. You can enjoy a romantic meal for two or sit down with a hearty breakfast and plan your days adventures.
The large three seater sofa sits neatly in the living area, with a gold frame coffee table and flat screen smart TV. Enjoy a night in and get cosy in front of the latest Netflix movie or watch on as your other half prepares a tasty meal for two.
Back towards the main door area you will find the bathroom. In here you have a WC, basin and a shower over a bath. With a velux in the roof you can relax in the bath while the stars twinkle overhead.
The main feature of this apartment comes from the master bedroom. With the end wall of the building been one full window, you can see for miles and the views of the north east side of the town are truly amazing.
With a perfectly placed swivel chair and side table just rest your afternoon aperitif down and watch the world of Whitby go about it’s business.
With a super king bed featuring a grey, Chelsea style, upholstered headboard and finely pleated cushions you can lay for hours while the light streams in and the birds fly by. This space really is worth experiencing.
Please note to access The Penthouse you need to walk up four flights of stairs, there is no lift access.
Hudsons Yard House is home to four separate apartments with a maximum capacity of 14. If you are looking for a stay for a large group there are often opportunities to rent all four apartments together. Please send us an email with your preferred dates for availability and prices.

Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
Pay & display parking can be found nearby, and full details will be sent to you before check in.
The Neighborhood:
The Penthouse is located on the iconic Flowergate, in the centre of Whitby. You will find the flurry of shops, restaurants and bars just a few steps from the front door.
The Blue Flag West Cliff beach and promenade is just a 5-minute walk from the apartment. The famous Trenchers is nearby where you can try traditional Whitby fish and chips! On Pier Road, you’ll find nostalgic arcades which are fun for all ages..
The opposite side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs. Sample the catch of the day in one of the fish restaurants or visit one of the traditional sweet shops for all your candy needs.
Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary and the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.
Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.
Getting Around:
The Penthouse is located in the centre of Whitby so the town can easily be explored on foot.
Whitby train station is just a short 10-minute walk away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
