This 3rd floor beachfront 2 bedroom 2 bath condo (sleeps 6) has a large 280 Sq ft private balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The condo is in the Pointe West Resort, Galveston’s Premier Resort Destination, at the western end of Galveston. Sitting on the balcony you can enjoy beautiful views of the Gulf that only a top floor penthouse condo can provide with the added benefit of not having the "pitter-patter" of little (or big) feet from a condo above you. On the balcony, previous guests love the 6 bar-height arm chairs and 2 bar tables that allow you to look over the railing for an enhanced view of the Gulf. In addition, there are two Adirondack chairs, and a small table, for reading or napping.
Access to 3 miles of secluded, vehicle-free, groomed beaches, the widest on the Island can be gained by the dune walkover, which literally starts from the common outside parking lot. No need to pack up the kids, load up the car and hunt for a parking space to get to the beach. It is a short 6-7' walk to the 20,000 sq ft private Beach Club and a second dune walkover with a ramp to the beach. The building only has 9 condos on three floors with elevator service, and a reserved ground floor parking space. A trash chute is located on each floor. Together these features will allow you to have a relaxing, laid back vacation with no need to pack up the car and hunt for a parking space near the beach walkovers.
The condo is furnished with a fully-equipped kitchen that has blender, a Mr. Coffee regular drip coffee maker as well as a Keurig cup machine, and coffee grinder. The kitchen is well stocked; with many basic ingredients; including vegetable and olive oil, sugar, spices, coffee filters, teas and condiments. An apartment-size washer and dryer are also in the condo. A TV in the master bedroom, basic cable in living room and the dining area seats 6, with high bar chairs to fully enjoy the Gulf view, during dinner. The family room contains a pull out sleeper sofa, two arm chairs, a large wall mounted TLC 55" internet ready smart TV, a Vizio bluetooth sound bar, Netflix and Amazon Prime and basic cable. The master bedroom has a large window providing a view of the Gulf from the bed as well as separate doorway access to the deck. It contains a king-size bedroom set with a large walk-in closet, dresser, luggage rack, alarm clock, TV-with basic cable and en-suite bathroom with shower only. The second bedroom contains two twin beds with closet. The condo also has a second full bathroom with a shower/bathtub.
A storage room next to the front door has beach chairs, beach umbrellas, boogie boards, and various children beach toys.
Pointe West Resort is popular due to the wide variety of amenities it offers (watch video for overview). There are two pool complexes. The larger Beach Club facility, a short (6-7') walk from the condo contains an Infiniti Pool, fitness center, a second floor game room (large TV, pool table, ping pong table, foosball table, etc,) gift shop, cabanas and covered areas with gas grills and food preparation area and tables. A private restaurant and bar, SOS, are on premises. The Sunset pool area is on the bay side of the resort, containing the Baywater Pool and Lazy River, and Hot Tub. The pool is heated in the cooler months. Here one can bring a tube and stay cool under the large palms while you float the lazy river or relax in the hot tub with a cold drink enjoying the Texas sunsets over West Bay. It is approx. one mile from our condo (need a car or golf cart). The entire resort is connected by miles of golf cart/biking paths allowing a stress-free vacation with minimum need to drive anywhere.
Be aware: All Pointe West 2-bedroom condos have the same size living area, approx. 1100 sq ft. and balcony, approx. 280-300 sq ft.. Some condo owners include the balcony square footage in the Living area, we do not.

**Please note due to the harsh coastal environment this building’s (like all Pointe West) elevators occasionally is inoperable due to abuse, repairs or maintenance. Our top floor condo is not the best choice for guests with limited mobility. We do not accept dogs or cats and our condo is for non smokers. We look forward to hosting you.
