About this property

Saar Castle - Unique Castle in Wine Region

Looking for a unique and unforgettable holiday experience? Look no further than our stunning modern castle, a masterpiece of medieval architecture that boasts a rich history dating back to the 20th century.

Originally a winery of Sekt, this castle was a direct supplier to the court of the Kaiser in 1912 and was owned by descendants of the Rothschild family. Today, it has been beautifully restored and is located in the oldest part of Germany, less than 30 km away from Trier, in the wine region famous for its Riesling wines.

With 7 bedrooms and 9 beds, our castle can comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests. There is a large living-dining room with spectacular views of the river and mountains, a library with a cozy sofa, and a completely renovated kitchen equipped with Miele appliances and a large table. There is also a washing and ironing room with a washing machine and dryer for your convenience.

In the center of the castle, you'll find a double-height lounge with a large fireplace and plenty of space for children to play. An office on the second floor overlooks the river Saar, and the castle has a 3 Ha private park with 2 terraces perfect for holding barbecues while enjoying the beautiful views of the Riesling vineyards.

With absolute privacy, you can enjoy total peace and quiet to unwind and relax in nature. The castle is surrounded by forests and nature, making it perfect for rest from the stress of big cities. For families, there are many activities nearby, including bicycle routes, historical train, sommerbahn, zoo and much more!

The castle is located in a village of approximately 1000 inhabitants, where you'll find a bakery, an organic farm, and several wine cellars to visit. It is also just 25 km from France and Luxembourg, making it an ideal base for exploring the region's many historical landmarks and indulging in its gastronomy and good wine.

Make your next holiday a truly unforgettable one by booking your stay at our majestic castle. With total privacy and stunning landscapes, it is sure to be an experience you'll never forget! Book now and experience the magic of this unique place for yourself.

Tolles Familienwochenende
