Located 20 minutes from Historic Waterton Park this newly renovated house located on a working ranch offers a quiet place to relax, or recuperate, in preparation for the next days adventures. The house features a fully stocked kitchen, laundry facilities, and back yard with barbecue and fire pit. Comfortably sleeps 7 people. Country Retreat

We enjoyed watching the ranch operate while sitting at the kitchen table - horses and riders rounding up cattle to go to pasture, hay bales being made and hauled to the yard. Also the beautiful panaramic views alone were worth the stay. Quiet, peaceful.

Fantastic stay

We has a wonderful, wonderful stay at Curtis and Vinessa's place. Extremelly clean and well maintained. This was THE spot to find some peace and quiet, and only 20 minutes to Waterton. Gourgeous surroundings and the most friendly dogs who welcomed us each day. We plan to return!

Great Ranch Home!

We loved our stay here! Everything was clean, beds and pillows were comfortable, snacks were provided, we felt welcome! Vinessa also promptly answered questions we had about the area, which was helpful!

Great property outside Waterton NP

Great location (~20 miles east of Waterton NP); great hosts; spacious; clean; well equipped; out of the way and quiet. Highly recommend.

Mountain retreat

We had a wonderful stay at the mountain view ranch. Great location. It is a short 20 min drive into Waterton Village. The house had everything we could have needed. Comfortable beds, cozy living room, large kitchen (with a water cooler, coffee, tea, sugar, flour, spices, tin foil). Also, thanks for the snacks. Our son-in-law enjoyed them on his 6 hour hiking trip. It was an amazing holiday.

Wonderful home near Waterton Parks

We had a wonderful stay with Curtis and Vinessa. The house is modern, organized and clean, and it’s just a short drive to Waterton Lakes Park. We loved meeting the animals on the ranch: Sky the dog, the barn cats, and the horses, including a filly born in May. The spacious views from all sides are stupendous. Tips: Grab breakfast from the general store on Rt 800. If you drink, it’s recommended to pack in or be prepared to drive to Pincher Creek, 40 minutes away. Eating and drinking at Waterton Townsite is fine, but pricey. Cooking at the Reverse R Ranch is super convenient… you’ll have everything you need! Also recommend taking a trail ride with Alpine Stables. We did a three hour ride with Josh and saw bears, elk, a coyote and a badger! Don’t miss the Crypt Lake hike, one of North America’s finest. Highly recommend this property for your short or long vacation stay in Alberta.

Nice place for a small family get together

We enjoyed being out on the farm. They had some kittens which were wandering about and my 6 year old loved it. The place is nice and as advertised. There is only one bathroom though. We were cool enough, but I could see it getting on the hotter side of really warm outside. But you do get some breeze from windows and fans. The sky was very nice at night.

We had an amazing time. Everything and location was perfect. Vines said is a top notch host.

Vinessa was a wonderful host. We had an amazing time. Great location very close to GNP snd Waterton national park. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. Vinessa even gave us fresh veggies from her garden which we really enjoyed. Hiking in both parks was fantastic. We will be back. Thank you Vinessa for making us feel at home/comfortable

Peaceful Setting

The property was just as described. It is a very serene setting making you feel like you are in another world. The stars at night were a sight to behold! The sheets on our bed were amazingly soft, I would love to know where to get them. The home is well stocked but we never cooked there, only using the coffee pot and toaster. The location was perfect for our visits to Waterton Park. And two very friendly dogs were always there to greet us on our return. We would definitely return!

Beautiful spot!

Beautiful and relaxing spot that was well equipped to enjoy some time at the gorgeous Waterton National Park. The kids loved the very friendly dog and cat :)

Beautiful Quiet Stars

This was the cleanest VRBO we've ever rented, the inside and outside property is well cared for. This property has all the kitchen utensils, pots, pans ect that you will need. The drawers and cabinet are all labeled and clean. We had coffee on the deck, tye sunrise is beautiful and quiet. Humming birds came to visit us. At night after a long day in waterton, you could sit out and watch the sky. We had plenty of space to relax, and my teens enjoyed the internet as well. I highly recommend staying here. The family, dogs and cute little black cat are all friendly and come welcome you, but then also leave you be to enjoy your vacation.

Stay at Reverse R Ranch

We stayed at Vinessa's home for three nights. I'm not sure who enjoyed the stay more, out kids or us. The location is perfect, in the heart of Southern Alberta, and really close to Waterton Lakes National Park. We will most likely come back soon. Vinessa and her family, including the dogs and cats, were really welcoming. 100% recommended

Nice space to sprawl out

This was way better than a hotel and well stocked with all of the kitchen essentials that you need to make meals. The BBQ worked well, as did the stove and the oven. Water pressure was good. The beds were comfortable. The dogs were friendly and the horses even wandered over to say hello. My parents are on a farm (similar to this one) in Sask and my mom said that she could start charging me to stay there. :). I told her that she’d have to move the mountains to Sask and then her place would be perfect. Overall this was a great place and a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Waterton is super close to this Ranch and made for easy access to some scenic hikes and the colours of the fall were magnificent!

Perfect place to stay for our family!

We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone. The rooms are exactly as shown in the advertisement, the whole place was spotless, and the kitchen was very well stocked. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us. Vinessa came by to introduce herself when we first got there, and was excellent and very responsive to deal with during the booking process with any questions I had. It is a 20 minute scenic drive into Wateron....and the surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. We would have a big breakfast in the mornings, hike and explore in the afternoons, and come back for supper and to put our feet up in the evenings. Bonus if you love animals, as we loved our visits from the resident dog and cat. Can't wait to come back here!

Why they chose this property

We bought our ranch in 2015 and love it! There are two homes on the property so we decided to share our lifestyle with guests travelling to the area. Come and enjoy the quiet, barbecue in the backyard, sit and relax, sheltered from the wind behind the double row of mature trees. We have six horses, cats, and cows wandering by and a well loved 12 year old Lab named Sid. Waterton park townsite is a 25 min drive.

What makes this property unique

If you're looking to have a bit of space where you can cook your own meals, barbecue, or just get away from the busy townsite of Waterton, this is the place. We live right next door and love to meet guests but will also honour your privacy.
