About this property

Stunning 2bed 2bath apt in Earl's Court sleeps six

Summary:
High-speed Internet, Private Garden, No shared spaces. Welcome to London and to Earl's Court! Want to experience this amazing city like a local and live in a sought after crescent tree-lined street in the west side of London? We wanted to make sure you are right at home here but felt relaxed and have a 5* hotel experience so enlisted the help of a local interior designer to help us refurbish. We have used bespoke furniture and fittings along with contemporary colours and comfy home essentials

The Space:
You'll have the whole place to yourself. Welcome to my home! I am really excited to welcome Airbnb travellers to my home.

The apartment is located in Earl's Court which is a lovely, green and safe neighbourhood in South West London, close to the super chic Chelsea & Kensington are. You only need to walk 5 mins from the Earl's Court station to get to the flat.

My street is lined with graceful Victorian conversions so typical of London. You will truly feel like a local here. The flat is on the lower ground floor of a larger white stucco fronted home. You have to walk down 10 steps to get to the front door, the benefit is no shared entrance you have sole access to the flat.

Once inside you will be wowed by the sense of space - the living room is spacious and has a dining table in a cosy and bright window alcove. The large 3 seater couch in the living room also converts to a double sofa bed which comfortably sleeps a further 2 people. This living area is open plan and it then extends to the kitchen area. We have made sure that the kitchen will have everything you need in it such as all the basic condiments. Some books are tastefully arranged around the flat.

We have a Flat screen TV with YouTube, iPlayer & Chromecast for you to stream the latest programming. Recently installed an Amazon Echo Show (smart speaker, it is designed around Amazon's virtual assistant Alexa).

The latest external CCTV is an effective deterrent, door locks are Banham insurance approved and incorporate a 'london bar'. We have a new fob-activated Alarm system.

We really want to ensure that you have a comfortable stay here in London!

There are two double bedrooms in the apartment, a modern en-suite shower room and a separate family bathroom. Both bedrooms have walk-through wardrobes which offer additional convenient storage for guests to store all their belongings away if you struggle to pack light - a bit like me! Both bathrooms are bright and contemporary in style and one has a bath (which really is a treat in central London)! The bathrooms will always come stocked with plenty of white fluffy towels and all the essential toiletries such as shampoo, shower gel and hand soap that you need to ensure that you have a comfortable stay in London. The main bedroom has a desktop oscillating fan.

The apartment comes with a separate utility room with a washing machine, a tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. This is a convenient and unique space for hanging clothes and ironing etc, so that you can look fresh for exploring the city or for any business meetings! We have inflatable mattresses also. However my favourite part of this room is the massage bed we have here. There are lots of great companies in London which will travel to provide at home relaxation services and massages!

Further features include a broad paved garden providing a private entrance and private space garden area at back with table and chairs for enjoying refreshing night air outside. You will enjoy total privacy.

Guest Access:
The apartment is your own. Cleaned professionally with fresh luxury linens and toiletries, it's prepared for each new visitor.

The Neighborhood:
Earl's Court is a beautiful area with rich, grand architecture and plenty to do and see close by. There's loads of eateries, bars and cafes around the tube station as well as handy supermarkets so there's no shortage of convenient places in the area. It sits within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea which is one of London's most beautiful, affluent and exclusive areas due to its rich architecture, fancy shops and beautiful restaurants and bars.

If you are flying into Heathrow, then the flat is very easy to get to - just hop on the Piccadilly line at the airport and within 35 mins you will be at Barons Court station.

Looking for something to do in the daytime? It borders with South Kensington and Gloucester Road, with their world famous museums just a short walk, or an even shorter bus ride away! If shopping is your thing then here is a top tip - you can get some really really nice stuff at High Street Kensington and Knightsbridge and still beat the crowds that throng Oxford Circus and Bond Street. I would high recommend going to High Street Kensington as it is much less stressful.

If you are looking for the "big" sights such as the Big Ben, Parliament and Westminster Abbey then you are lucky. The flat is a great base to get to these places. Just hop on the underground and you will be there in 15 mins.

If you are after more cerebral matters then head to South Kensington for the museums such as the Natural History and V&A. The world famous Royal Albert Hall is located here and tickets can be bought on the day of a performance early in the morning. The area is residential but also close to London's two great exhibition centres - The Earl's Court Exhibition Centre and the Kensington Olympia, both walking distance from the flat.

Getting Around:
You couldn’t be better located here! The apartment is located just a 3 minute walk away from Earl’s Court tube station and an 11 minute walk away from West Kensington station. Between them, these two stations are serviced by the Piccadilly line and District line. This means that on these lines you can get directly to famous London sights such as; Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Buckingham Palace (get off at Green Park tube station to get here!), Sloane Square (one of the best stops for getting to the heart of Chelsea). Travellers coming from far and wide will also be pleased to know that you can hop on the Piccadilly line straight to Kings Cross St Pancras station - for national and international trains, and hop on in the other direction and you arrive directly to Heathrow terminals 2, 3, 4 & 5. This is London’s busiest airport and living here means you are so conveniently located to it. Make the most of that extra time by shopping, sightseeing or sleeping!!

There are also plenty of buses in the area, which are a great way of travelling if you like to have a peek at your surroundings as you travel.

A great local tip is to download the Citymapper app. This free app will plan your journey for you efficiently and quickly. It gives you a variety of different transport options such as bike, rail, tube and Uber taxi. It will also take you step by step through your journey as you travel and notify you when you are nearing your destination.

Nice place and location
The property was in nice neighborhood and clean. It had almost everything we needed except for a coffee maker. But it is for 4 people. We were 6 persons and two had to sleep in an air bed since the sofa bed is two small even for my 13 year old son.

There’s the good and the bad...
Our family of 4 just stayed at this flat for 7 days. There were positives and negatives. First the positives: great location - only 5 min walk to Earl’s Court Tube Station, grocery stores and restaurants; spacious rooms and storage; clean and essentials all provided in the flat. The negatives: hot water for showers didn’t work our first night but was fixed the next day after we mentioned it; en suite bathroom was so cold it was unusable for us (probably not an issue if staying during warmer months); no mirror in en suite bathroom so unusable (I personally need a mirror to wash up and get ready in the morning); and the biggest negative was the owner “stopped by” while we were out, without any notice, to place table lamps on the side tables. It was disturbing and only after probing twice did I get an answer why that happened. We didn’t even use the lights since we needed the plugs - there is a scarcity of plugs in the flat (no plugs in bathrooms). And the last negative is that it is very close to the Tube station so you can hear the Tube rumbling by. We got used to it but some people may find it too noisy. I thought Hostmaker, the management company, did a great job from meeting us to responding to my inquiries about the water and our unwelcome visitor.

Wont stay again.
We had a mouse problem in the flat. There were also spiders that were falling from the ceiling. Lights weren't working and it was VERY LOUD in the flat. The tube station is close, but you can absolutely here it, even while you sleep. I wouldn't stay here again. Management was very communicate and responsive, but still.

Awesome apartment and location
This apartment is in a great location - just a short walk to the Earl's Court tube station, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The photos don't do it justice - the rooms are all generously sized, and even though it is a basement unit, there are multiple windows that let in plenty of light. Another plus is that the basement location keeps it cool (we were there during a blistering heatwave). It is in a quiet neighborhood - the only noise we heard was the trains rumbling nearby, but it was not a distraction whatsoever. I appreciated the access to a washer/dryer and bathtub. The kitchen was fully stocked, and there were plenty of extra pillows and blankets. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Very nice flat. Exceeded my expectations.
Great location. Flat had everything I needed for a vacation. Wished we had been given another set of keys as it was difficult to co- ordinate when we were doing different activities.

Clean, visually appealing, and well located.
Four of us stayed 5 nights here in April. The flat is well situated close to amenities, 1 block up Warwick Rd. is a Tescoes that is open 24 hours, and also 1 block up Trebovir Rd. is Earl's Court Rd where the tube station is located as well as bank machines, Pret a Manger, and many other shops. The flat itself was lovely, but people must be aware that there is a flight of rather steep steps to get into the ground floor location. Our greeter was very sweet and explained things thoroughly for us, and Hostmaker checked with us during our stay to ensure all was well and were quite helpful. The flat is spacious by London standards, having two bathrooms was excellent with four of us and we appreciated the quality of linens and towels provided, as well as shampoo and body wash. The kitchen is very good, with fridge, freezer, and dishwasher and is well stocked with utensils, plates, and cooking apparatus. My suggestions for improvement are little ones, the addition of an easy chair in the living room would make tv watching/socializing easier as there is only a sofa or the kitchen table for seating in the main living area. An ottoman instead of a coffee table would allow people to put their feet up after a long days sightseeing, we would not put our feet up on the glass coffee table that is there now. Instructions for operating the boiler and the appliances would also be helpful. Overall, I would say that the flat enhanced our stay in London, we were only 15 min by taxi from Westminster, the tube at Earl's Court is very handy and you're also well situated for getting out to Heathrow on the Cromwell Rd. I would definitely recommend it, and would stay there again.

Excellent location for a cosy airy flat.
We stayed for four nights and found the flat an ideal point of reference to travel around the city. Well furnished and comfortable, it has all you need! Earl's court area is a wonderful location to eating out and going for a walk admiring the beautiful terraced houses. The flat is very close to Earls Court tube station: practical but noisy during the day. It was not a big deal for us. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

Cozy, well apportioned.
We had a few kinks during our stay starting with the fact that there was a date mix-up with the reservation and we were not able to check in as planned. There were also a couple minor maintenance hiccups, but Hostmaker was very prompt in addressing and remedying. We were very pleased overall with the flat and would definitely recommend.
