Great house in a great little town

Our family had a lovely stay in this lovely house. It was bright, clean, well furnished and had an excellent library.

Lack of cleanliness

Cottage 360 seemed like a dream. There was so much space, it was in the centre of town. The kitchen was beautiful. All appeared perfectly fine. The problems only arised after the first night. The downstairs heating didn't seem to work so the kitchen was cold and after sleeping in the bedroom beside the kitchen we could smell the damp musty smell. The bedroom on the first floor was picturesque, a lovely vintage looking room that looked straight over Lowry's pub on the main street. Again after sleeping in this bed my opinion had changed. This bed squeaked and squealed every time I moved in it, causing a bad night's sleep. I think it may have to do with the fact that the bed frame had been broken previously and it was just held together with steel plates and the wooden pieces were moving off each other whenever anyone in the bed moved. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans, delph and cutlery so we got a few bits for a fry on our third morning. We then came to realize that both frying pans were entirely scratched up. We attempted to cook on them anyway but it took a long time to cook as only one spot on the pan was actually cooking. We ended up eating out at restaurants and cafes for the rest of the trip. Also the socket on one side of the room didn't work which posed an issue with working on a PC from the kitchen table. We were also afraid to close the kitchen curtains because the curtain pole looked like it was about to fall out and we didn't want to be held responsible. When we started to clean up and get ready for departure we were asked to empty the bins. As I went to use the bathroom bin on the first floor I could see that this hadn't been emptied from the previous guests and had sanitary products in it. I was absolutely disgusted to see this as surely the bins should have been checked after the last guest. Meanwhile in the downstairs bedroom whilst packing up my mother found someone's dirty toenail under the bed. In short, the location was absolutely amazing, the space was lovely. The living areas were beautifully presented. The cleanliness was abysmal, the damp was horrendous and the cooking apparatus was unusable. We did not use the two beds on the top floor as there was no bathroom up there so I cannot speak for that room. All in all, it was a poor stay if you planned to stay in your apartment for a good chunk of time. My mother actually ended up sick after staying in the damp room. I felt her clothes that she had in the room and they were noticably damp. Unfortunately I couldn't recommend anyone stay in the downstairs bedroom for health and safety but maybe upstairs would have been different.

Great house right in the centre of Clifden

We had a lovely stay in Clifden, the house is in a fantastic location and the housekeeper was welcoming and helpful. Lots of comfortable sofas and a great library with lovely views. Comfy beds and plenty of hot water. Well equipped kitchen. Easy parking at the local supermarket.

A great house in wonderful Connemara

We had the luxury of spending three weeks on holiday in Cottage 360. We were three women and really appreciated the 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It was especially great that our landlady made the beds once a week and cleaned the bathrooms. Thank you very much, Caroline! The location of the house in the centre of Clifden is unbeatable! You can go shopping in a few steps and have the choice between various great restaurants and very good pubs. The house is built over four floors on the hillside. This means that the bedroom in the basement has no window. However, the dining area with the kitchen is large and bright. The water pressure in the bathrooms varies. It can take a little longer to shower and wash your hair - but this is probably due to the age of the house. We didn't like the artificial turf on the two terraces because it was constantly soaking wet from the rain. The view of the garden, which belongs to the house but cannot be entered, was also depressing. Hopefully some more time and love will be put into this area in the next few years. All in all, we would book Cottage 360 again on our next visit to Clifden. The house has a lot of charm and it was lovely to come home to every day.

Lovely home and location in Clifden

My family (5 adults in total) stayed in "cottage 360" in Clifden and loved it. The home is spacious with great views, has a huge downstairs kitchen, eating and lounging area and three very comfortable bedrooms as well as three bathrooms (one with laundry). The location can't be beat. Clifden is an adorable little town with everything you need within steps (restaurants, pubs, grocery store, cafe, shops, bike rental shop, galleries). We spent three nights and wished we'd booked a week:)

New Year in Clifden

The cottage was exactly as described. It was very comfortable, and the views are amazing. The open fire was an added bonus, but the house was very warm even without it. The three separate sitting areas gave lots of space. The kitchen is well equipped (maybe a couple of new frying pans would be useful, and a teapot). There are lots of shops and pubs and restaurants in easy walking distance. New Year was a lot of fun. We will definitely return to Cottage 360.

Comfortable and Convenient House

We really enjoyed our winter stay at this property. Warm relaxing accommodation, well furnished with comfortable beds, truly a home from home. Good equipped kitchen but with such excellent and reasonably priced restaurants on the doorstep we had little cause to use it! A lovely view over the harbour to the rear of the property from the restful library, dining area and top bedroom. Decking terraces to enjoy in good weather I’m sure. This property offers a central base to enjoy the many beautiful scenic highlights of Connemara. A most enjoyable top end holiday let. Highly recommend Cottage 360.

Non proprio un cottage ma molto carino

L'appartamento è molto grande e molto confortevole.

A spacious well-equipped house in a noise location

Clifden is a lovely town in a beautiful part of Ireland but this spacious well-equipped house is in what appears to be the noisiest part of it. The amplified music from three adjacent bars/restaurants starts in late afternoon and continues to 2230 on weekdays and midnight at the weekends. Two of the three bedrooms face the street and have to endure the music - the third, windowless, bedroom in the basement is quieter, but the bass notes penetrate even there such is the volume. There is nothing the owners can do about this. But the owners can do something about other aspects: The decks/balconies on the other side of the house are unattractive as outdoor seating, as the decking has not been power-washed for a very long time, the decks are bare apart from the wheelie bins and some dilapidated furniture, and overlook a busy road as much, if not more than, the harbour. The view below is to further abandoned decks, to either side to the crudely screened decks of adjacent properties. The windows onto the main deck still bore the handprints of previous visitors. The water and felt filters in the tumble drier had not been emptied and kitchen surfaces were sticky. The heating had to be either ‘on’ or ‘off’ throughout the house as the control valves on individual radiators seem to have been disabled. The showers were good, but there was nothing by way of a ‘welcome pack’, not even a bottle of water in the fridge. We shall return to Connemara, but not to this property.

Great property in the town centre

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay at this property. The house is in a great location, right in the centre of town, couldn't be closer to all amenities and there is parking (paid) available on the doorstep. The house is spread over 4 stories, so there is plenty of space. There are 3 living areas, 3 bathrooms, 2 large balconies with lovely views and a well-equipped kitchen. I have to add that the house is decorated to a very high standard (which is not really the norm for rental properties). It was spotlessly clean throughout. Also, Caroline, the host, was very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have no problem recommending it to others.

Perfection!

Perfect house and location. Loved that everything we needed was just a few doors away. It is 4 floors. So we quickly learned to gather everything we needed so we wouldn’t have to climb up and down so much. 🤣 The house is nicely decorated. Wanted to take some of the artwork home with me. The beds are super comfy, and the duvets nice and warm. Thank you for letting us stay. My family truly enjoyed it.

Great location needs modernisation

Great location for this property in the heart of Clifden town. The house could do with some modernisation and redecorating and have some simple repairs carried out both inside and out. Also the Wi-Fi needs to be extended to the downstairs area where the main TV is Everything was spotless on arrival and Love Connemara provided an excellent service throughout the whole booking process.

Great house, great location

We had a great stay in this house. It was spotless when we arrived, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay (except a teapot!), and plenty of space for us all to spread out. Considering it is a street front property, it was surprisingly quiet inside. The house is spread out over 4 floors, so not suitable for anyone who finds stairs a challenge. There are 3 large balconies, 2 of which were well equipped with table and chairs. It would have been nice to have had a lounger or two to relax on, but it wasn't a big deal. All in all, a beautiful, well kept house in a great location, right in the centre of the town. Will definitely stay here again if we holiday in Clifden in the future

Fabulous house in a great location

What a splendid house in the centre of the town of clifden. We spent four days in the house and enjoyed every aspect of its offerings. The views from the various terraces were stunning and the house itself was spotless, comfortable and versatile. There were two of us and we were spoilt for choice as to where we should relax, the library with its stunning views and comfy couches, the kitchen/livingroom with its open aspect and terrace and views, the front sitting room with its fireplace and conversational seating or just in the cosy beds in our bedrooms. We both had work to do on our trip and had ample space to do this. All rooms decorated to a beautiful finish. A gem of a find and I will return.

Fantastic House with perfect location !

This house is fantastic . The location is perfect as it is in the main street . You are seconds from everything in the town. The house itself is beautiful. It is perfect for a big family or a group of friends.

Ideal for a weekend exploring Connemara and dining in Clifden

Excellent location - on the main street directly opposite the two restaurants we had booked for dinner! The back of the house looks out on water and you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Best of both worlds. Excellent contact before and during our stay and helpful with keys queries etc. Only issue is the lack of curtains in the upstairs rooms - very difficult to sleep with the light streaming in! Also a pity that the room that sleeps the most people has no door meaning that it's difficult to sleep for all the people in that room if others are up in the house.
