Guest Access:

The Neighborhood:
Hampstead is beautiful, lovely, green, classy and yet close to the city centre.

Hampstead High Street, which is only a few mins away, is lined with pretty little cafes and cool designer shops (think Maje, Reiss, Tara Jarmon).

A perfect day for us would go like this - Breakfast at Gail's or eggs at Aubain. Then a leisurely stroll through the Hampstead Heath! Now here is the best kept secret of London - in fact - of all happiness in life. Its the dog bathing pond in the Heath. On any weekend when the sun shines, numerous dog owners bring their dogs to the Heath and let them swim in the dog pond - this is perhaps the most heart warming sight in the whole world! You have to see it to believe it.

After the walk, we would grab lunch at Cote and finish it off with dessert from Louis the Hungarian patisserie. Or head to Spaniard's Inn, one of London's oldest pubs and then snooze in the house. For dinner, we would head to Villa Bianca and tuck into their lovely Italian.

Other notable stalwarts of Hampstead include Melrose and Morgan, Cafe G1 and of course the famous crepes from Le Creperie! I have a long list of pubs that you can go to but more about that when you make the booking....

Getting Around:
The quickest way of reaching all parts of central London is to take the underground - Finchley Road which is on both the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines is only 6 minutes away. Hampstead station is only 8-10 mins walk away and is on the Northern Line. There are many buses running from Finchely Road station. You can also catch the Airport buses to Luton and Gatwick from here.

A great local tip is to download the Citymapper app. This free app will plan your journey for you efficiently and quickly. It gives you a variety of different transport options such as bike, rail, tube and Uber taxi. It will also take you step by step through your journey as you travel and notify you when you are nearing your destination.

Other Things to Note:
Let yourself in, at your convenience, with self check-in. Enjoy our professionally cleaned and maintained property, where fluffy pillows, fresh bed linen, towels and other necessities are all provided.

Quite and peaceful

We had a great stay at Netherhall Gardens, the apartment was quick walk from the tube and great shops around. It was a perfect spot for our family of 4.

Great location. Needs some attention to improve

The key box to pickup the keys was very difficult to open as was the lock on the front door. We had to ring a neighbor once. The dryer cycle on the washer/dryer stopped working half way into our stay. I specifically filtered for places with washer/dryer. The management company was very unhelpful saying I was using the machine incorrectly so I had to walk the washing to a laundrette to use a dryer which interrupted our plans

Great place near charming village

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Both the main bedroom and living/dining room were spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, though we didn't do any cooking. However, we did use the refrigerator, which did not latch securely closed. This caused the refrigerator to drip inside, and the freezer to be severely frosted over. Not a big issue for us, but could cause refrigeration problems in the future if not addressed. The other quirk was that the heating system did not work as the instructions conveyed; we were not able to get it to come on. If we had stayed longer we would have contacted the host for help, which I have no doubt they would have quickly provided. We had fun exploring the neighborhood, which we absolutely loved. It was only a 7 minute walk to a charming village that included a wide range of interesting shops, as well as wonderful cafes, restaurants and bakeries. We also enjoyed exploring the heath, which was a short walk beyond the village. This is such a desirable of part London that several local friends were surprised we were even able to find a place to stay in the area. While we would be happy stay at this flat again and further explore the village, we wish we had known in advance about the vetting process that Houst requires. Their app did not work during any of our multiple attempts to use it. It took a long time to find a workaround that satisfied Houst's requirements, which cut into our vacation time in another city.

Clean apartment/flat

This is a cute little flat in a nice neighborhood. Being from the U.S., a couple things caught us by surprise. Listing stated it is first floor, apparently first floor is not ground floor in UK, so there are stairs. Listing states king beds which was the reason we booked this unit over others. The beds are much smaller than a US king bed, closer to a US Queen in size, but they were comfortable. It is a short walk to the underground and shopping, but it is on a steep hill, so it's not a flat walk. Unit is well kept and all the amenities were provided and worked fine except the Fireplace was broken and light over stove is not working during our stay. Street was very quiet, we awoke to chirping birds every morning. Highly recommend.

Great apartment, very comfortable.

The property was clean, cute and very comfortable. It was also conveniently located near a tube station that made getting to the best sites fairly quick and easy. I only left 4 starts for 2 reasons: 1.) It's up a rather large hill. We had 2 kids, one of which was a toddler who was exhausted and tired and refused to walk at the end of a long day. Carrying a 40 lb 3 year old up the hill was so tiring. If I had known about the hill I could have brought the stroller or something. 2.) The management company left a delicious looking bag of coffee, however there is no coffee maker of any kind in the apartment. Which necessitated an early morning hike down, and then back up, the aforementioned large hill for coffee.
