Kick your shoes off and make yourself at home! You’ll have everything you need in this spacious studio apartment with a full kitchen. Let the birds serenade you as you enjoy your morning coffee on the large open deck right outside your door.

You’ll feel like you are in the country, yet still close to everything you could possibly need. Mansfield is right nearby with restaurants and activities galore.

If you are attending an event at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, you can’t get much closer! A five minute drive will have you at the entrance of the facility, only four miles away!

This area abounds with outdoor activities! You are only two minutes away from Clearfork Reservoir with pontoon boats to rent and fishing! Just a few miles away is the B&O Trail perfect for biking, walking or running. Half an hour away is Mohican State Park, which offers great hiking. In the same area there are several canoe liveries where you can go canoeing or kayaking on the Clearfork River. If you need a little more excitement, Tree Frog Canopy Tours offers ziplining, and it's just about 50 minutes away.

In the evening, enjoy beverages out on the deck as you cook dinner on the gas grill. Stroll through the gardens or stop to watch the fish swimming in the pond.

This 600 square foot studio apartment is attached to the back of the owner's home, which adjoins an 1850's school house; the studio is not in the school house. The studio apartment does have a private entry. This is a studio apartment and although there is a sleeping area, it is not separated from the rest of the studio. Although there are no stairs in the unit, the entry way is not handicap accessible.

For a weekend race at mid Ohio this location can't be great. Great couple that own it. Loved the are so cute!

Perfection

We rented this for the weekend to attend the Moto America races die to it's close proximity to the track. The location was perfect - less than 5 minutes from the entrance. and there is a huge reservoir and park less than a mile away. . Our hosts were there to greet us when we arrived. They were very nice and checked to see if we needed anything anytime they saw us. It's spacious, clean, and well maintained. We plan on going back again soon.

Amazing again!

This was our second time staying and it did not disappoint. We left again wishing we had more time to enjoy the beautiful yard and the private deck. Having a full kitchen to come home to after a full day out is great. There is even small appliances if we needed. Great communication and just a text away if you have questions including recommendations in the area. We will be back again!

Wonderful weekend getaway

What a really nice find! We enjoyed our stay so much and the unit was clean and ready for our stay. It’s a beautiful setting in the woods and the owner’s couldn’t have done a better jobs and very accommodating.

Great place near Mid-Ohio racecourse

Super place to stay when attending events at Mid Ohio. So relaxing after a day at the track. Driveway is perfect for low clearance cars if you’re driving one to the track for the weekend! So much better than a hotel with your neighbors up all night partying! No worries of damage to your car either as parking is very open (no door dings here or instagram photo shoots on your car without your knowledge.)

First lets just say amazing and honest communication with the owner! It was perfect for our weekend away. Near the event we were attending, near a gas station and a dollar general for things you might need last minute. Beautiful outdoor area from the trees to the private deck. Wonderful kitchen with more gadgets then we would ever need in a weekend! Before we checked out, we decided we want to come back every year!

Great Cottage Apartment

The wooded area off from the private deck made us feel like we were there by ourselves. We enjoyed hanging out at the deck and listening to the birds. The apartment was very clean and well-stocked--actually, they provided more kitchen staples than we expected. The owners are super nice and accommodating. We will definitely be back to stay the next time we come in for my family reunion.

I liked being out away from the city. Some museums were not open yet but the restaurants in Mansfield are great. Would recommend for anyone.

A wonderful place to stay.

My partner and I returned here after a great experience on our first visit. We feel very fortunate to have found such a beautiful place to stay while visiting the Mid-Ohio race track for the weekend. Donna and Art are fantastic hosts and all around great people.

Quiet retreat for Mid-Ohio

We had an amazing stay with Donna and Art! The apartment was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed for a weekend away. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and even gave us a bonus tour of their beautiful home. The cinnamon rolls were an added treat. We will definitely be coming back!

Great Stay Again!

Donna and Art’s schoolhouse location is great! It’s set in a beautiful wooded area. It was so nice to spend our downtime on the outdoor patio enjoying the peace and quiet of the area.

Great little place to stay!

This is our second stay here and we will definitely come again! Just a half hour from my sister's house, it's great to have an alternative when the whole family is visiting (and her guest room is overflowing) as they were for my niece's graduation party this past weekend. Clean and comfortable with amiable hosts (and fresh-baked cinnamon rolls this time!), this is a place we will gladly stay again. We enjoyed our stay and even got to see the peacock this time. We definitely recommend!

We are two retirees who love to travel. We also love our unique home.

Why they chose this property

Originally an 1850's school house was on the property and our home was designed and built to incorporate the school house. The original owners of the home built the garage and what is now the studio apartment (where you will be staying) first, and actually lived in the apartment while the rest of the house was built. The house also has an indoor outdoor pond with lots of gold fish and one large koi. The original owners created the numerous gardens on the property as well.
