Guest Access:
The entire apartment is available for my guests.
The Neighborhood:
Simply the best neighbourhood for the big tourist sights! You are only walking distance away from Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament, Downing Street and St. James Park. This really is the centre of the city.
There are plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from in the area. Iberica has really nice tapas and worth a try. You will find quite a few restaurants
including Wagamama in Cardinal Place near Victoria Station. If you miss Chinese and wanted a cheap take away, there is one on Strutton Ground. For fancy (but nice) Chinese, try A.Wong on Wilton Road. There is a Starbucks across the road.
And, while you are in the area, why not have breakfast at Regency Cafe. It was featured in movies such as Layer Cake and is a true local cafe.
Ichi-riki does superb Japanese on Scrutton Street. Adam Handling at the nearby St. Ermine's Hotel is a swish place if you are looking for something more formal. For something more special there is Quilon which is an amazing Indian restaurant which has been in London for many years. There is another one called the Cinnamon Club which is a favourite of Madonna!
Shopping
There is a House of Fraser and plenty of high street stores nearby. There is a Marks & Spencer also in Cardinal Place.
Entertainment
Curzon is one of the best cinemas in London. St. James Theatre could have something interesting too. There are two major musicals nearby showing Billy Elliot and Wicked.
Sightseeing
Not stating the obvious like the Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the Parliament, London Eye & Tate Britain, but please do take a walk in St. James' Park if you have time. You get a particularly nice view on the bridge and it is my favourite spot in London. Oh, if you have nuts bring some with you to feed the squirrels.
Getting Around:
Fortunately this apartment is close to three tube stations. The closest tube station is St. James Park which is on the Circle and District line. Victoria station is also close by giving you access to Gatwick Express and the Victoria line. You can even walk to Westminster which gives you access to the Jubilee line.
Access from Heathrow can be by Heathrow Express then Tube (metro, subway, underground)
A cheaper but longer way is to take the Tube(London Underground ) (Subway) direct from Heathrow to St James Park (1 HR) Piccadilly line but changing Hammersmith or Barons Court to District line by walking across platform and waiting for district train (any). At st james Park use stairs at back of train. Walk up and out of station and turn right(Starbucks in front of you) walk across car park on right and Apt is there
Can buy an Oyster card at Heathrow for each adult. Children travel free. Card is £5 and top up with £10-20 and use for tube and buses
Other way us online taxi ie Minicab to pick you up search on the web
Other Things to Note:
