A cute and quirky barn conversion set close to the beautiful town of Melton Mowbray.
A cute and quirky barn conversion set close to the beautiful town of Melton Mowbray.. All on the Ground Floor:
Living room: 42" Smart TV, Electric Woodburner
Kitchen: Breakfast Bar, Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer
First Floor:
Bedroom: Double (4ft 6in) Bed Ensuite: Walk-In Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. The Milk Place, situated on a working farm, with calves and cattle as your neighbours provides an ideal base for exploring the attractions of the neighbouring countryside and counties. The owners have converted part of the barn to a cute, cosy and quiet holiday let catering for couples wishing to have a taste of the country life.
The well-equipped kitchen provides the equipment you need to rustle up an English breakfast or to make a pack up for your day out exploring. The modest living room with an electric log burner effect heater leads into the double bedroom. The owner has provided a small sitting out area just under the shelter of the main barn.
Surrounded by open countryside, the verdant landscape offers all sorts of outside activities, with excellent walks and cycle routes straight from the door. Set on the edge of the Vale of Belvoir, Belvoir Castle is nearby and the magnificent 3000-acre Rutland Water attracts visitors worldwide to enjoy water sports, bird watching, walking and cycling. Take a trip aboard the Rutland Belle Cruiser, visit the famous ospreys at Egleton Nature Reserve, or browse around Barnsdale Gardens, designed by the late Geoff Hamilton. Sherwood Park, Rufford Country Park and Clumber Park are all well worth a day out, or you can enjoy a stroll alongside Grantham Canal with superb walks along the towpath. The market town of Oakham, Stamford and Grantham, as well as Melton Mowbray are all nearby, and for serious shopping, Nottingham is a must. Shop 9 miles, pub and restaurant 1¼ miles.
Also on the farm is property Hill Farm (UKC1026) which can be booked together with The Milk Place, catering for up to 12 guests.
