A one bedroom, one bath cottage with hardwood flooring and 20 feet of private frontage directly on Lake Michiganbeach with osha certified stairs-just 17 feet above the sand and water. The views are fantastic and as private as you want. We can’t promise eagles but we’re not aware of anyone who wanted to see eagles not seeing them. Peace from Lake Michigan

I was in need of a place that would help me de-stress and access to the big Lake gave me exactly that. John and Dorilee were easy going hosts, friendly and interested in conversation as opportunities came up. Lovely people in love with Michigan’s beauty—as I am. I hope to see them again

Five day stay

Needed a place to stay while doing a triathlon in Frankfort on Sunday. Then toured the lical area, and visited a daughter who lives in Frankfort. House was perfect for our needs

Dream access to Lake MIchigan Just Steps Away

This area of Lake Michigan seems to be less traveled, lucky for us! Access to the beach was easy and sunsets glorious.

Clean place with Lake Michigan Beach Access

Comfortable and clean place, in close proximity to owners home. Although there’s a campground directly across the street, noise and busyness were surprisingly not an issue at all. Owners were very responsive and helpful, especially when there was a short-term loss of internet service. Short walk to beach access, and then down 20 or so steps (metal stairway). Although navigating this with our super excited 90 lb labrador was a little tricky, it was worth it so that she could play in the lake.

The best beaches in Michigan

Clean and well kept cabin in a great location steps from beautiful and uncrowded beaches- you can walk for miles along the dunes. Great hosts made us feel welcome and comfortable, this property is a true hidden gem!

Arcadian hidden treasure

Enjoyed a quiet week on the deck and the short walk to relax in comfortable chairs looking out over beautiful Lake Michigan. We saw several bald eagles fly right over us a few times that week as well. Great sandy beaches which we took advantage of to walk with our dog! Very clean and quaint cottage and John and Doralee were extremely accommodating. Thank you for a great time !

Cozy spot with private beach

Exactly as listed, great courage for two people who enjoy the Lake Michigan Beach! Plenty to do if you want to venture south to Onekama or north to Elberta & Franfort. Great to have the grill with charcoal provided! We didn't end up using the kayak system that is next to the beach stairs, but that is a great selling point, as we had planned to! Kitchen is small but had everything we needed for two. Will definitely come here again!

Awesome week on Lake Michigan

John and Dorilee were wonderful hosts and we absolutely loved their cozy little beach house! It was very clean and charming and the access to the beach was so easy that we almost (almost) felt like we were on the beach! We would definitely return here! It was a lovely week. Thank you John and Dorilee!

Great Cottage

Great cottage, it had everything we needed and more! It was very clean, with a comfortable king size bed, a full kitchen with all nessesities, AC and heating, everything worked great. Everything was as described. Perfect space for two. Only a few steps to the lake that offers magnificent sunsets. Very accommodating and nice owners. Nice little neighborhood, very quiet. We really enjoyed our stay.

Nice neighborhood

This was a great place for our stay in a beautiful and convenient location. We have two suggestions for improvements: 1) a couple of area rugs with non-slip backing, a non-slip carpet pad or carpet tape to secure rugs will increase safety; and 2) a coffee table or footstool(s) in front of the futon sofa would make it more comfortable.

Wonderful cabin

Great cabin! It has all that you need, is clean and comfy. The location is great and love having Lake Michigan and the dock/chairs right across the street. The facet/well water is some of the coldest and best water we have had. Don’t hesitate to rent.

Great stay.

We love Arcadia. Was a bit concerned as we were not far from the highway. Did not hear it at all. Clean and cozy with everything we needed and close to anywhere we wanted to travel. It is on our list to stay again. Thanks so much!

Hall Getaway October 2022

This was a great place to get away from it all for a few days. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Even though the weather did not cooperate for the entire week the first couple of days were beautiful. Would definitely stay here again. The cottage had everything needed. Really appreciate the owners providing such a nice place with quick easy access to the beach.

Lovely Yellow Cottage

I just returned from a short stay at Lake Michigan Cottage. The cottage was extremely clean and comfortable. The location was convenient to neighboring towns and Sleeping Bear Dunes. The hosts were easy to communicate with and were good about sending additional information during my stay. I would definitely stay at this cottage again.

Excellent Location

Cute and cozy. Both the bed and the futon were very comfy and there was plenty of room for a family to enjoy. Excellent location for visiting all the up north towns. Close to Onekema, Arcadia, Frankfort, Beulah, etc. The beach access was wonderful and the chairs over looking Lake Michigan were the perfect place to watch the sunset. Highly recommend!

Lake Michigan and Traverse City area visit

The Lake Michigan cottage was ideal for a couple and dog. First time in the area. Of course Traverse City is a gem but the surprise was Arcadia and the immediate area. Played golf at Arcadia Bluffs, shopped the fruit stands, checked out Sleeping Bear Dunes and tried the local fish, walleye and whitefish. John was very helpful with suggestions and in getting the TV back on line.

Great getaway

This was a great place to stay. Very clean and had everything you need to feel at home. A great central location to activities and a nice beach right across the street. The hosts have a house on the property and were great people and very accommodatjng. Would definitely stay there again.

Arcadia

Comfortable place, literally across the street from an amazing overlook of Lake Michigan with comfortable seats there to watch the sunset into the lake or just taking in a sweeping look at Lake Michigan. There are steps leading to the beach which is a nice sandy beach. The cottage is close to lots of other things as well, Frankfort for example is 11 miles away with shopping, groceries and large free access beautiful beach. Perfect getaway.
