Finikia Cave
This was our first visit to Santorini. The location of our cave was in Finikia a 10 min walk from Oia. Upon arrival we were met by a porter who transported our luggage up to our cave villa. The pathway to the villa is uneven cobblestone with many stairs. For individuals with accessibility issues it would not be possible to use this walkway.
The cave rooms were aesthetically pleasing but came with a number of issues. First, the villa was booked due to its luxury patio and hot tub. Unfortunately, the hot tub was lukewarm and unable to be used in the evening with the cooler temperatures. Second, the mattress were extremely firm (like sleeping on the floor) and we struggled to sleep soundly. Third, the showers did not have hot water and the rain shower in the second bedroom did not work. Lastly, the VRBO posting did not clarify that the second room was a standalone cave with a separate entrance. This would have been an issue if the booking was made for a family with children.
Despite all the issues, the property manager was available and responsive to our requests although was unable to fix any of these issues.
