Lovely villa with lots of amenities

We stayed with 3 generations of our family and had a great time. The villa was spacious and had all the facilities we needed. It has a fantastic view and is superbly located at the edge of Montgo. Heidi was extremely helpful before we booked and prior to our visit, happy to give us any information we needed. Would highly recommend this villa.

Très grande villa, avec vue magnifique

La villa est très grande et disposée de manière à ne jamais être les uns sur les autres : les 6 chambres sont réparties sur 3 étages (1 dans tour avec sa salle de bain/wc et salle de sports, 2 dans la maison de plein pied avec la piscine, et 3 dans une maison en réa de jardin complètement indépendante avec une 2ème cuisine, toute équipée). De nombreuses installations (beaucoup de transats, parasols, tables/chaises pour déjeuner ou dîner à des endroits différents, à l’ombre ou au soleil, au bord de la piscine, dans le jardin ou sous une terrasse ombragée). Le jardin est magnifique, avec une vue magnifique desouis la piscine, les terrasses et quelques chambres. Des arbres fruitiers (manguier, figuier, raisins). La maison (les maisons puisque les 2 étages sont vraiment indépendants), se prête à des séjours entre amis en entre familles. Elle se situe à une dizaine de minutes de Denia où Javea (Xabìa), avec des plages (publiques ou privées), un joli port à Javea avec des restaurants qui bordent la mer. La communication avec les gérants se fait par mail ou WhatsApp avec une grande réactivité (l’éclairage du jardin avait sauté, ils ont envoyé un électricien qui est intervenu sous 48h). Les check-in Et check-out se font par téléphone à l'arrivée Et au départ. Pour les sportifs, un cours de tennis est à dispo à 800m à pied (3’ en voiture).

great villa for the family holiday

The villa was perfect to accommodate the extended family for a week's holiday, everyone had great rooms with aircon. The pool was large enough and provided a great focal area to lounge around. The kitchen facilities were very well equipped and allowed us the option of either eating out or in. The location of the property was good, a few minutes into Javea old town, a few more to the port and a little bit further to Arenal. We all had a great week and would definitely return.

Fabulous!

A great experience from start to finish. Heidi was so helpful with anything and everything. We were there for a wedding and she did everything possible to help with our stay. The villa is amazing. Views, decor and everything you need while you are there. It's a little out of the way so a car is a must but it's so peaceful and relaxing. The bedrooms are spacious and the pool area is fantastic. We had a great time and would thoroughly recommend casa Andromeda for a wonderful holiday experience.

June in Javea

With 6 adults and an infant this villa allowed us plenty of space and a separate floor for each couple. The villa is spacious and well equipped. The grounds are delightful and the best kept we have experienced. The owners were very hands on and could not do enough for us particularly ensuring we had what we needed for the 10 month old member of the party. Inevitably access to most of the garden involves negotiating uneven steps but this should not be a problem for all but the least mobile of guests. Air conditioning within the property works well and there is plenty of shaded areas for those intolerant of the heat.

A fantastic villa with spectacular mountain views

Casa Andromeda was everything we had hoped for from the description - spacious, characterful, situated high on Montgo with a breathtaking view across the valley to the mountains beyond. We were a family of six with plenty of room to spare and, as the grandparents, the apartment below gave us privacy when we needed it. The atmosphere at the villa - on the pool terrace sunbathing or in the cool of the large naya below or strolling through the stepped gardens - meant that we were happy to spend our days there without moving! The rest of the family enjoyed the beaches in Javea and we all dined at night in the town or in the excellent local restaurants nearby. What made our stay so special, from our first enquiry through to the end of our holiday and after, was the wonderful response at all times we received from Heidi the owner. Nothing was too much trouble for her. It was clear that she wanted us to have the best experience possible while staying in her lovely home. And we did! I cannot recommend Casa Andromeda highly enough and we will be returning there next year.

Spacious villa on Montgo with spectacular views

This was the perfect holiday retreat for us. The views from the terrace never failed to delight us and while the younger members of our extended family visited the beaches we "the Oldies" were happy to stay at the villa most of the time, by the pool or on the lovely cool naya. The villa is set on three floors and worked well for our three generations of family sharing it. It is on an elevated position on the mountain of Montgo and has beautiful terraced gardens which romantically illuminate in the evenings to create a magical atmosphere. We loved it so much we have already booked our dates to return next year! Our main reason for returning however is because of Heidi the owner. From the first time we contacted her and throughout our stay and after, she was so welcoming and attentive to our needs it was a pleasure to be dealing with her. Nothing was too much trouble and you really feel it matters to her that you have the best possible stay in Casa Andromeda. A five star experience in every way!

An excellent property

This is an excellent house for either a large family wanting their own space or a number of families holidaying together. The property was clean, beautifully and tastefully furnished and had everything you could need to have a fantastic stay. We stayed in the apartment downstairs and found it to be very spacious and the Tower room was perfect for our teenage boys. The garden is huge and the views are breathtaking. We all ate together either downstairs or by the pool, watching th sun set over the mountains but there are incredible restaurants nearby in El Gaucho and notably La Gourmand which is only a short walk from the property. My family and I love snorkelling and there are many wonderful beaches to see an array of tropical fish. Cala Morag, Grenadella and Portaxitol were amongst the best. The survive from Heidi and Geert was fantastic, anything that was asked for was not a problem. I would thoroughly recommend this property and will be back I'm sure with our friends in future years.

Beautiful villa. Stunningredients views!

This is beautiful villa, finished to a very high standard. All the furniture, accessories, linen, is all high quality and the beds are super comfy! A very well equipped kitchen in the main house and a more than adequate supply downstairs, makes life easy for anyone who enjoys some cooking. The views from the terraces are stunning! Looking outwards towards Javea in one direction and Gata de Gorgos the other. And behind is the magnificent Montgo, which changes colour through the day, into the night. Fabulous pool which gets the sun all day so a really nice temperature, especially at night. All in all, this is a wonderful villa for two families or one large one! We had two teenage boys with us and the tower room was perfect. Close enough but still gave them their own space. We will return!

Holiday beyond expectations in wonderful villa

This is a wonderful villa set in peaceful surroundings in Montgo Toscamar area of Spain. I chose this location after reading excellent reviews. I was not disappointed, in fact it was beyond my expectations. Everything is to a very high standard , it is beautifully decorated and furnished. It includes a very well stocked wine bar. The pool terrace has excellent views. We were a party of 6 adults, a four year old and two one year olds. The addition of the lower garden was perfect for the children to run about in the evenings? We each had our own area when required. I have never visited this area of Spain before, but fell in love with the town of Javea. It is a perfect family location. Staying at Casa Andromeda is a perfect base, but a car is essential to visit the surrounding areas. We visited Moraira, Denia, Altea, Calpe, Valencia and the water park at Aqualandia on the outskirts of Benidorm. Heidi, the owner, is a lovely person. She kept in constant touch, passing on all the information required to make our stay smooth. She even took time out to visit us at the villa to make sure we were having the perfect holiday. I cannot praise her highly enough. Her attention to detail is spot on. If anything previous reviews don't really do this place full justice. You have to stay to fully appreciate how wonderful it is. I have already recommended it to friend and I would return in a heartbeat. Loved everything about the villa and its surroundings

Wundervoller Urlaub in einer sehr schönen Villa

Wir haben in der Casa Andromeda mit meiner Familie und der Familie meiner Schwester (insgesamt 9 Personen) einen sehr schönen Urlaub verbracht. Der Blick von den Terrassen ist atemberaubend! Die Villa bietet sehr viel Komfort und auch Privatsphäre, da die Aufteilung der Räumlichkeiten sehr gut gelungen ist. Die Möglichkeiten draußen auf den Terrassen zu Essen ist auf beiden Terrassen-Ebenen möglich und sollte auf jeden Fall genutzt werden. Die Villa erfüllt alle Anforderungen einer luxeriösen Villa. Wenn Freunde von uns in der Gegend Urlaub machen wollen, werden wir auf jeden Fall die Villa weiterempfehlen.

Beautiful, spacious, fantastic views

This is a really wonderful villa to spend your holiday in. There is great attention to detail, lots of elegant homely touches. Clearly loved and looked after by the exceptionally helpful owners. The best part is the view, which is vast and interesting, little light pollution to watch the expansive night sky. 9 of us stayed here for 2 wks & we all had a super, relaxed time. With binoculars my father spotted an eagle on the mountain top. Comfortable beds, good sized bathrooms. Completely secure gardens. Well equipped kitchen. Outdoor, quality seating, together with shaded & eating areas. The pool, although not the largest, was plenty big enough for a welcome swim & a cool down. The veranda underneath the pool is utter luxury, shady & quiet a divine place for an escape if you are travelling in a large family group - more pics of this please Heidi as it's so wonderful! I thoroughly recommend this beautiful villa.

Super stay in Casa Andromeda

With 2 other families we stayed 2 weeks in Casa Andromeda and really appreciated our stay. The house is clean, well-equiped, confortable and perfectly located to appreciate the superb Javea area ! The villa owner Heidi was perfect to welcome and guide us when needed and the local staff for pool maintenance or small assistance very king and helpful. We recommand the villa and will probably come again for Holiday!

Beautiful villa in breathtaking setting

We had a wonderful family holiday in this stunning villa set in a breathtaking setting at the foot of the Montgo mountain. The location was incredible and the villa itself was of a very high standard. I couldn't fault anything. There is ample space and the fact that the lower floor is self contained gave our adult children the privacy and independence they needed whilst allowing us to enjoy every aspect of a family holiday together. We enjoyed some very relaxing evenings on the lower terrace together overlooking the dramatic scenery. We all enjoyed Denia and Javea during daytime and evening visits as well as meals in the villa thanks to the well equipped and modern kitchens. Can't thank our helpful hosts enough for making it such an easy trip, from their support leading up the trip and excellent directions from the airport to their warm welcome via phone soon after our arrival. Five star accommodation and service. We will be back!

Et fantastisk opphold

Vi hadde 4 fantastisk deilige dager i Casa Andromeda. Reisefølget var gode venner som skulle nyte avslappende dager med god mat og drikke i herlige omgivelser. Huset levde opp til alle våre forventninger og mer enn det. Nydelig beliggenhet, fantastiske uteplasser i begge etasjer, herlige soverom og bad. Huset er velutstyrt på alle områder og vi manglet ingen ting. På grunn av vekslende vær fikk vi benyttet oss av alt huset har og by på, både inne og ute. Husets ligger i flotte omgivelser og muligheter for turer til fots. Samtidig fint avstand til Javea og alt det er å by på der. Takk for et fantastisk opphold, vi kommer gjerne tilbake.

Couldn't be in a nicer place for the New Year

This was a fabulous villa. We spent each morning on the back patio by the pool having our breakfast. The view as gorgeous! The rooms were spacious and clean. Obviously, a lot of work was done to make this a first class villa. And we enjoyed the garden with its orange, lime and lemon trees. We'll definitely be back.

Simply perfect

It just doesn’t get better than this! We spent an amazing Christmas week at this property. It was very clear from the first moment we arrived that the owners care a great deal about their property inside and out. Everything was perfectly maintained and clean, very well organized, kitchen and bathrooms superior. The views are stunning, inspiring endless conversations amongst friends (we stayed with one other couple) or simply enjoying and reading a book. The opportunities to be outside are endless. We are pretty active, so we went for a hike on the Montgo one day and found the perfect spot for a picnic with more magnificent views of both Denia and Javea. Seeing the beach so close, we then went for a stroll on the beach the next day - completely deserted and highly romantic! I cannot recommend this property enough - completely satisfying experience.

Return to Casa Andromeda

In my review from May 2012 I called this “a place to return to – again and again”. And return we did already in September the same year, but for 2013 and 2014 illness prevented us from coming. However April 25th 2015 we were back again. Having heard that some upgrades had been done we were curious to see which possible improvements could have been done to this already wonderful place. And we were delighted. A new Naya where we could relax in the shade by the pool when we felt the sun was too hot. In addition there were plenty of parasols and sun beds. The terraced garden being under construction at our first visit was now a fully developed oasis with a magnitude of fruit trees. Inside the villa, the ground floor had undergone a complete rebuild, making it more spacious and resulting in 3 delicious bedrooms furnished and decorated in different styles, and all with a perfect sense for matching colours. The wine bar offers a good selection of excellent Spanish wines and the kitchen is fully equipped for making meals to match your wine choice. However if you become bored with home cooking, a new first class restaurant has opened in the neighbourhood and in pleasant walking distance. Here we enjoyed two evenings with delicious food and wine and a very obliging chef. After 10 days of tranquillity and luxury there is no doubt. We will be back.

A lovely stay at an amazing Villa!

We arrived at Casa Andromeda at night, and then woke to find a stunning view over Jesus Pobre and the distant mountains. It took a while to explore the massive villa and it's very nicely decorated bedrooms - choosing which bedroom we liked most was tough! Casa Andromeda feels very luxurious and has plenty of space for relaxing in the sun or the shade and feels very private as it is tucked into the side of the Montgo facing into open space. We found the garden in front and below the property with fruit trees and lots of apricots that were ripe and delicious. Casa Andromeda is close to amenities and a short drive from Javea - that suited us as it really is too hot to walk anywhere during the day anyway. We stayed during the San Juan festival which we experienced in Javea, and it was fantastic. Highly recommend trying to see it if you are planning on going to Spain.

Earthly Paradise

We were back in Casa Andeomeda in April/May this year (2015); again to enjoy the luxury of the villa as well as the tranquillity and beauty of the surroundings. While weatherforcasts back in Scandinavia reported between 6 and 10°C, we were able to enjoy ambient temperatures of up to 30° in the air and 24° in the pool. The villa itself had undergone some interesting changes, particularly in some of the bedrooms. Just imagine yourself installed in the Sultan’s room or in the Royal room! Also a small, new Naya had been added, and you could now sit in the shade next to the pool. As before the bar was well stocked with wine, and when we had emptied it, the nearest restaurant (Le Gourmand) was within walking distance. We were back in Casa Andeomeda in April/May this year (2015); again to enjoy the luxury of the villa as well as the tranquillity and beauty of the surroundings. While weatherforcasts back home in Rykkinn, Norway reported between 6 and 10°C, we were able to enjoy ambient temperatures of up to 30° in the air and 24° in the pool. We have found paradise

What a fabulous villa. I stayed at Casa Andromeda with my partner for four nights and wish we had booked for longer. The villa is well equipped and beautifully appointed and the views are simply breath-taking. It was so tranquil with a selection of indoor and outdoor seating areas to suit everyone (the lower terrace was our favourite to relax and eat while taking in the amazing views). There were some good restaurants within walking distance and we enjoyed both the port and Arenal beach in Javea. We'll definitely return and it's so spacious that we'll bring friends too!!

STUNNING AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

We arrived at Casa Andromeda after a long journey on July 12. It was so nice to enter into this spotless, inviting home with a surprise welcome pack waiting for us! We so much enjoyed our time here and can only regret not having been able to stay any longer . Heidi, the owner, had thought of everything. Her house didn’t really feel like a typical holiday house, it felt like coming home. All rooms (air conditioned!) were cozy and nicely designed. The kitchen was fully equipped, so no need for the typical first rush to the shop before starting our holiday. Outside we could sunbathe, swim, relax in a shady corner on the terrace or stroll through the gardens, so wonderful. We very much liked the privacy of the villa, not being overlooked by any other properties. We enjoyed the relaxing start of the mornings, sitting outside at the Naya which runs in front and at the side of the house, sipping coffee and simply taking in the stunning, peaceful views of the Montgo mountain. We found plenty of recommendations for places to go and things to do in the neatly arranged welcome book. For my husband, the winebar was a hit, which offered the chance to try various local wine favorites at an affordable price. Being so close to the main Javea Arenal beach (only 10 min drive) we tried out a few of the local restaurants (some very good !). The town of Javea is very charming. Many local markets in town are really worth a visit. Thank you, Heidi, for creating this wonderful holiday home. We will definitely be back.

Ideale ruime villa met prachtig uitzicht

We hebben Casa Andromeda samen gehuurd met vrienden, 2 andere koppels met kinderen.. De villa is zeer goed onderhouden , zeer ruim met verschillende woongedeelten en terrassen, wat ons elk de vrijheid liet om iets samen of alleen te doen. Zelf genoot ik ervan om me even af te zonderen en op een apart terras mijn boek te lezen. Met de berghelling aan de achterkant en het mooi panoramische uitzicht aan de voorkant, hebben we het grootste deel van onze tijd op het hoofd terras aan het zwembad doorgebracht. Van ’s morgens vroeg tot laat in de nacht. Ook de omgeving is interessant . We raden het Arenal strand aan dat goed georganiseerd is met strandstoelen , douches en een promenade met bars , restaurants en winkels . Een andere optie is om te gaan wandelen op de Montgo berg . Het is maar 10 minuten rijden naar de onderkant van het wandelpad . Winkels en supermarkten zijn ook op de hoofdweg op 10 minuten afstand . Al deze informatie en meer was beschikbaar in de villa . Wij hadden de toren kamer, met ramen aan de 4 zijden van de kamer, dit was een heel aangename kamer, hoog en droog en zicht op alles. Al het nodge was aanwezig in de villa en werkte goed wat onze ook rust gaf omdat dit geen zorg was We hebben ons echt kunnen ontspannen in Casa Adromeda en hebben reeds besloten om terug te gaan

Casa Andromeda

We were four couples who had the great pleasure to stay for a week at Casa Andromeda. Spacious, fantastic surroundings and close proximity to the city of Javea and other nearby villages and larger cities, made this a most pleasant and memorable stay. Great for two families

Stunning location, one of the best views on Montgo. Plenty of indoor and out door space. Plenty of sun-beds, cutlery, crockery & kitchen equipment all of good quality. Some really nice touches, like hand soap in the bathroom, a selection of wine that you can buy & try. 5 restaurants within a 5min drive. Just a couple of small negatives, the pool was a bit small for one of our group & one of the basement bedrooms was a bit damp, probably because it hadn't been opened up for a couple of weeks. I've got to say Heidi was the most helpful, friendly, and attentive direct owner we have booked with. It's serviced by the same group as villa direct which is only 5 mins away so any problems can be sorted out quickly. We would love to go back again.

Our ‘permanent’ home is in Belgium, Geert is Flemish (Belgian) and I (Heidi) am from Norway. We have lived in the UK for a number of years and have been lucky enough to have international upbringings and careers that have provided us with a love for travel, culture and all the richness of experiences that go with it.
We are both engineers by profession, but our work has focused on international business development. I (Heidi) retrained in Nutrition some years back and work with nutrition consulting and metabolic disease. Geert remains dedicated to international business but is also a DIY enthusiast, cyclist and recently a hobby wine farmer.
We escape to Spain, Norway or France as often as we can to enjoy outdoor activities and especially the climates and slower paced lifestyle that the mountains and Javea have to offer.
Geert is a wine-connoisseur and I love food!
This is in part why you will find an ‘honesty’ wine bar in Casa Andromeda – primarily stocked with wines from the Pinoso region south west of Javea and kitchen(s) equipped with more than the bare minimum.

Why they chose this property

Welcome to our piece of Paradise!

We fell in love with the incredible views and the peaceful nature of the area, yet its close proximity (10min drive) to the sea and to the town. And private space to sit on our own or together, in the sun or in the shade, undisturbed – just to relax and breathe! To be able to simply walk out of the door and up the mountain without getting in a car gives us access to nature and a natural park second to none.

Good friends introduced us to Javea in 2009 and kindly let us stay in their villa to get a feel for the area. Despite viewing 56 properties and almost buying an olive and almond farm in the mountains outside Pinoso, we kept coming back to Javea:
- A stunning mountain, a beautiful coastline, spectacular views, a true Spanish old town with real culture, traditional markets and fiery fiestas, history and family life; inhabited by young and old throughout the year
- No incomplete urbanised holiday developments that are lifeless out-of-season and no high-rise hotels or apartment buildings.
- A truly international population; working, retired or holidaying, and as a result; a multitude of restaurants and bars to suit every budget, every taste and every standard, at all times of year.

Thanks to history, and the fact that the discerning Spanish have supported and protected Javea from mass tourism, this area remains the perfect holiday destination for those who are looking for quality, and not the mass tourism of quantity.

What makes this property unique

The house benefits from being ´South Facing´ and so enjoys the sun for almost 12 hours a day in Summer. The spectacular views from the house and terrace really are breathtaking and the perfect spot to sunbathe or read a book. Downstairs we have added a fresh air system so that even if it´s 40 degrees outside you are always nice and cool. All other bedrooms have air-conditioning. The house has a Gym and Jacuzzi Bath for those that want to work out whilst here. All in all this quiet location is perfect for those that want to stay in throughout their holidays.

We both appreciate beautiful nature and beautiful things, so we do our best to surround ourselves with who and what inspires us. The creation and ongoing upgrading of Casa Andromeda is a result of all these influences.....and yes, we love it so much that we got married here.
