Some disappointments

The upper level bed's mattress bearings were broken/missing. The upper level is under a cupola that drops to very low levels e.g. at the head end of the bed. One hits the head very easily up there. There was no working air conditioner. In early June it was not needed. The toilet door lock was broken. The entrance door was very difficult to open because the door dragged along the doorstep. Similarly the toilet door dragged along the floor.

As dual citizens with USA and Italy we travel quite often, always staying in apartments. So my review is what I feel is the good and less good. It was an easy to reach apartment. We traveled for 3 hours to arrive and we’re not disappointed. The good is it’s in a great location for walking or taking the bus. Easy walk down the street or a few flights of stairs. Bring good walking shoes. You can conveniently locate a bakery and plenty of places to eat. Check the prices first. 4 of us ate seafood for lunch at an outside cafe and it was delicious but it also cost 200.00. Not my normal lunch budget. For dinner 4 of us ate pizza, risotto and clams with wine and drink for 54.00. At Emilio’s More food, very tasty for a fraction of our lunch bill! There is easy parking outside the door with a street permit provided. Then the not so perfect for us - emphasis on US., was the upstairs sleeping accommodations. I felt the lack of a railing on the stairs was an unnecessary danger. I would like more towels for showering and kitchen use. There is a lot of wasted space but I understand it is a rental unit. It was chilly even with the heat on down stairs but warm in the sleeping accommodations. We had some water leaking from the shower onto the floor. I notified the rental manager on our departure. The front door needs to be reworked. It has hinge issues which will only get worse over time. It’s a challenge to open and close for me. The TV/internet were great. Worth booking!Need new pots!

Alles in allem ok - Sehr schön im alten Teil gelegen - leider keine Möglichkeit draußen zu sitzen - aber das wussten wir ja schon vorher - Meeresblick war der Blick auf ein stationiertes, riesiges graues Kriegsschiff, welches 24/7 relativ laute Geräusche produziert (man kann nicht mit offenem Fenster schlafen). Wenn man zum Strand will, muss man sich ins Auto setzen, es kommen noch 50 Euro Parkgebühr pro Woche dazu - das fände ich nicht schlecht, wenn es in der Beschreibung erwähnt werden würde - Die Bettwäsche wurde in einer chemischen Reinigung gereinigt und roch so sehr nach Chemie, dass wir in der ersten Nacht nicht schlafen konnten, der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war aber sehr gut - Sie hat uns gleich am nächsten Tag neue , neutral riechende Bettwäsche gebracht und sich bei der Reinigung beschwert. Die Dusche hat geleckt und die Küche war nicht besonders gut ausgestattet. Um auch etwas Positives zu sagen: Das Appartement ist hübsch geschnitten, die doppelte Ebene hat etwas, Kontakt zur Vermieterin war nett und das Stadtteil ist auch ganz hübsch.

Gediegen

Geräumige Wohnung, bestens gelegen, schöne Blicke, gut ausgestattet (nur zum Geschirrabwasch mussten wir uns Sachen zusammensuchen), ruhig, gut verdunkelbar. Für Leselicht könnte besser gesorgt sein, sonst super, wir hatten herrliche Tage!
