The Reserve Retreat is a landmark property, steeped in Sarasota's rich art and cultural heritage. The three buildings were part of circus magnate Charles Ringling's estate before his mansion was built. At various times, it was a boarding house and a circus performance venue. Today, it is a redeveloped gorgeous property with three buildings on a single parcel joined by a beautiful outdoor courtyard. It is across the street from the Sarasota Bay and just minutes to Downtown, and both Lido Key and Siesta Key beaches!

Conveniently located near downtown Sarasota, the beaches, St. Armand's Circle, many performing arts venues, restaurants, and more! A great Sarasota escape close to the arts and nature and much more.

Washer and dryer on-site, too. Beach chairs and beach towels can be checked out for your convenience. Too many great points to list here!

Fun and interesting place

Cool and unique place! My husband and I enjoyed it. It’s very close to everything in downtown Sarasota as well as all the nicest beaches. There’s even an awesome little park right on the water across the street. We highlight recommend it.

Great place to unwind.

Our stay was very pleasant. It was clean and cozy. With my strict diet restrictions, the kitchen came in handy. We were able to shop for foods that we could store in the kitchen which saved us from going to a restaurant. Going to restaurants is much harder for us due to our restricted diet. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning kept us cool. The only suggestion that I would have would be to add thicker windows in the future to avoid the traffic noise outside. People were very friendly and inviting and the entertainment, although we did not join, was fun to listen to as we were in our rooms. If we have to return to Sarasota, we will definitely stay here again and we would reccomend it to our friends if they ever visit your area.

I have lived, in Sarasota for about 20 years and love the area. I purchased these historically significant buildings in 2016 and have lovingly restored them so everyone can enjoy them, too!

Why they chose this property

The Reserve Retreat is a landmark property, steeped in Sarasota's rich art and cultural heritage. The three buildings were part of circus magnate Charles Ringling's estate before his Mansion was built. At various times, it was a boarding house and a circus performance venue. What makes this property unique

The Reserve Retreat has many enjoyable facets: restaurant for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, beer/wine bar, and coffee shop.
