More TLC required
We managed to enjoy our 2 week holiday at Villa Camilla but unfortunately we are not able to give a better rating due to the following:
1. No cleaning service provided between the two weeks, despite there being a booklet in the villa explaining that there would be at least two cleans for a stay of over ten days.
2. The decking around the pool was dangerous as several of the planks were loose. A couple of the planks came right up causing a tripping hazard.
3. The external door for the dining room was locked but no key provided.
4. Upstairs there was a fire extinguisher holder and fire sign but no extinguisher.
5. Small tiles from the pool came off.
6. Some of the outdoor wicker chairs were broken.
7. The crockery was mis matched and some plates were cracked.
8. One of the patio doors badly scraped the floor so couldn’t be used.
9. The shower screen door in one of the bedroom ensuites wouldn’t close, causing water spills.
We did raise these things with the owner during our stay.
Some of these points seem fairly minor but put together with the lack of cleaning and the health and safety issues, we don’t feel that we got value for money. It is a shame because with a little TLC Villa Camilla could host a wonderful family holiday.
