Domaine de la Licorne - Combarelles cottage

Cocooning atmosphere for this 2 bedroom cottage with a large partially covered terrace. A little apart, overlooking a beautiful meadow, it will welcome you for stays as a couple or as a family, to meet you and share a relaxing and authentic holiday.

Designed for the pleasure of living as close as possible to nature, the Combarelles gite is located in a renovated traditional Périgord complex overlooking the Beune valley, classified as a remarkable Natura 2000 natural space representative of the sub-Mediterranean areas of the Dordogne, and as a unique archaeological area with the highest concentration in the world of engraved Paleolithic sites.

The living room and terrace are facing west. Large shared swimming pool.

In peak season, we welcome you from Sunday to Sunday, between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.
We thank you for cleaning your cottage at the end of your stay.
At the Domaine de la Licorne, holidays rhyme with simplicity and conviviality !

We have set up a barn with at your disposal : two table-tennis tables, one baby-foot, and bicycles : it's the favorite rallying point for children...

The Lascaux cave, nicknamed Sistine Chapel of parietal art, Les Eyzies, capital of prehistory, Sarlat, the most famous of the medieval towns, the Padirac chasm, the incredible castles of the Dordogne valley, the wild Vézère valley.

We can advise you for sightseeing and gourmet tours as well as for hikes in the many nearby sites.

Domaine de la Licorne is the ideal spot to take a peaceful break with your family and recharge your batteries, near the la Chapelle Aubareil village and the Montignac / Lascaux town.

Du bien et du moins bien

Gîte négligé, dommage! Vaisselle rangée mouillée et mal lavée, ustensiles de cuisine et couvercle gras: en période de covid 19, nous aurions souhaité un lieu plus propre! le frigo est sans freezer alors qu'il n'y a pas de congélateur. La disposition cuisine salle de bain WC nécessiterait un extracteur d'air plus efficace car on est saisi, en arrivant, par l'odeur de moisissure. Côtés positifs: les lits sont confortables (mais une couette de courte dimension a nécessité l'ajout d'un manteau pour les pieds), de belles décorations ornent les murs. Nous avons apprécié la terrasse ouvrant sur la campagne et la confiture de prune offerte par les propriétaires. Ce gîte est idéalement situé pour rayonner et voir en peu de kilomètres toutes les splendeurs de la Dordogne auxquelles vous pensez.

Gite très agréable

L'endroit est très agréable et en pleine nature, il faut une voiture pour se rendre à la ville la plus proche. C'était très calme car nous étions les seuls locataires et avons pu pleinement profiter de la piscine. Les photos sur le site mélangent les 3 gites et le notre n'avait pas de belle vue. Le gite était bien équipé et confortable et les propriétaires accueillants et discrets.

Un gîte et un accueil agréable

Ce gite confortable et bien équipé est situé dans un hameau un peu isolé et très calme, proche des grands sites du Périgord noir (Lascaux, les Eyzies, Sarlat...). Les propriétaires habitent juste à côté. ils sont très sympathiques. Nous y retournerons sans doute...

Schöne und erholsame Tage in einem angenehmen Ambiente verbracht

Die Einrichtung des Hauses ist zweckmäßig und bietet eine wohnliche Atmosphäre. Durch die wunderschöne Landschaft und die ruhige Lage des Hauses mit grossem Garten (Pool) kann man sich gut erholen. Der Empfang durch die Vermieter war sehr nett.

Tres belle residence

Accueil sympathique, logement tres confortable, tres belle propriete. De plus il y avait de tout dans la cuisine et tout etait reellement charmant, en environnement, type ferme traditionnelle, mais avec oeuvres d'art dans la maison et jardin. Lits tres confortables,salle de bain pratique, cuisine tres equipee en tout ainsi que tous les necessaires pour sejour court, comme le notre, cafe, the huile vinaigre etc, etc.. Tres aimable et discret accueil. Nous n'oublierons pas ce sejour et nous remercions notre hote

Domaine agréable. Piscines et extérieurs magnifiques. Un propriétaire a l’ecoute. Neanmoins le gîte ne nous a pas convaincu. Il est très propre mais l’espace baîn moyennement agréable et surtout les chambres mansardées ont été très chaudes pendant,il est vrai, cette canicule.

An excellent location with very friendly owners

The cottage was ideally placed for visiting the various prehistoric sites in the Vesere Valley, for example the caves at Lascaux, for exploring the nearby towns, such as Sarlat and for enjoying the countryside and attractions around the Dordogne. Our cottage was very private even though there were many other guests staying in the adjacent properties. The swimming pool was lovely and we never had to share it with anyone else. One thing we didn't like was that the bathroom and WC are both downstairs, with doors leading directly from the kitchen, which is not ideal from the point of view of hygiene.

Eine schönes Haus, alles da was man braucht. Ein großer Pool um schwimmen zu gehen.

Man kann von hier aus alles wunderbar erkunden. Es gibt viel zu sehen, man muss aber immer eine halbe Stunde faher in Kauf nehmen, was sich aber lohnt. Schlösser und Schlossgärten, Lascaux, Sarlat und Märkte und Bootsfahrten muss man erlebt haben.

Casa agradable

La zona es muy tranquila con un entorno precioso, rural, muy verde. La casa está muy bien decorada y limpia. La pega son unas escaleras súper inclinadas incómodas y el baño está en la cocina en la planta de abajo lejos de las habitaciones. Por lo demás tiene una piscina chulisima y los propietarios son muy amables.

Séjour très agréable

Nous avons passé 15 jours au Domaine de la licorne et nous sommes ravis de notre séjour. Le domaine est très agréable, implanté dans un cadre verdoyant avec une vue magnifique. Les propriétaires sont charmants et très discrets. La piscine est partagée avec les deux autres gîtes mais c'est plutôt agréable que les enfants puissent jouer ensemble. Les gîtes sont bien équipés. On est à 15 minutes de voiture de Montignac et de Sarlat. Nous recommandons vivement et nous reviendrons ! Merci à Henri Louis pour le verre de départ ! Fatiha

Volledig uitgeruste gite in een rustige omgeving.

Gite : alles is aanwezig in keuken en woonruimte. Proper. Voldoende plaats. Zwembad : groot genoeg , goed onderhouden. Bezienswaardigheden, musea, winkels, stadjes, bakker enz binnen aanvaardbare afstanden. De gite is gelegen in een zeer rustige en groene omgeving. Eigenaars behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Aan te raden voor een rustige vakantie met heel wat uitstapmogelijkheden.
