Warm comfortable stay in a well equipped glamping pod. Excellent on site pub/restaurant

Our third time returning to Norman Knights, a great base for a walking holiday. The pub serves excellent local beers and the food in the restaurant is first class.

Nice pod, nice people- recommended for a short stay in the Oxford-Stratford area

The pod is well equipped and a superior alternative to hotel accomodation, especially if travelling with a dog. You can get a bit of cabin fever if it rains, but on the other hand then just stroll over to the super pub.

Glamping in the winter

My husband and I wanted a night away, and we hadn’t been to the Cotswolds area yet. The pod was cozy and so functional! We stayed a Sunday night, so unfortunately were unable to eat dinner at the Norman Night; we did get to enjoy pub quiz and a lovely meal at a nearby pub.

Great nite away

We stayed one night in the glamping pod for our anniversary, which we loved. We live fairly close, half an hour away, but just wanted to get away for the night. We had sunday lunch at the norman knight which was delicous, staff very friendly, and very busy. The pod was very cute, amazed how much is in them. It was very clean and had everything you needed. Would definately stay again. Location is great as so many things to see and do in the surrounding areas.

A fabulous Night Away!

Our first experience of glamping, and are we going to return? Absolutely, yes! The pod was fabulous: clean, warm, well equipped. The food in The Norman Knight was fantastic, as were the staff. We spoke to management as well, who were feeding the resident pigs, next to our pod, and they were lovely and friendly as well. The pigs didn't keep us awake at all! All in all, it was a great glamping experience and we shall be returning!

High quality, warm and comfortable

We booked a pod at the Norman Knight as we were visiting the Cotswold Gin Distillery up the road. The pods are more luxurious than I realised. I had concerns about it not being warm enough as it was mid November. I needn't have worried, they are very warm and very comfortable. They are better equipped than some cottages I've stayed in. The staff are very friendly and super helpful. We booked a table in the restaurant for the evening and the food is excellent. The luxury Fishermans pie, wow!

New Years Eve In the Cotswolds

The location was pretty enough, but apart from the pub, which was clearly once a house, all be it a long time ago, there is nothing there. No breakfast, ok it's self-catering, but the nearest coffee shop was 6 miles away. The pub was so packed on our first night, we felt uncomfortable, we still try social distancing as much as we can. The staff were as friendly as you like, very very helpful, we ate in the restaurant on the second night, very good food, at a reasonable price. Nothing wrong with any of it, just not for us, we left a night early.

We are a quintessentially traditional english pub. All our staff, led by Land Lady Amber and supported by Helen and along with the rest of the team are local and have first hand knowledge of the area. Our village neigbours love telling stories to our residents and there is always a warm welcome. Its never too much trouble if you need anything and can happily recommend local things to do and places to enjoy. Its your break, so whether you want to chill at the bar or be left to enjoy a quiet meal in a cosy corner, its your choice. Tips for the pods are make up your bed before heading to the pub, enjoy the surroundings, we have plenty of deckchairs and outdoor seating, relax and take time out from the real world. We've even been asked to tell the little ones there is no WiFi so you can really go back to basics with family time and a good old board game. We look forward to meeting you on your stay with us.
