Charlotte's Place Orchard Garden Apartment
Each bedroom has a pair of zip and link beds, so either singles or super king doubles for your stay. The beds are super-comfortable with a memory foam topper to ensure a good nights sleep. Pillows and duvets are anti-allergy, bed linens are 100% cotton. There are extra blankets available in Winter. Each bedroom has a generous sized desk with a lamp, the work chairs are leather faced and comfortable to work in all day.
The living room has a double sofa bed, an Internet SMART TV and a selection of books. Housed in a cupboard are iron and ironing board as well as instruction manuals for all the appliances. There is a dining table for 4.
The kitchen is well equipped beyond the expected pots, pans, cutlery and crockery. There is a dishwasher, large washer/dryer and a Nespresso coffee machine. There is a picnic backpack and beach towels for expeditions, shopping bags and cleaning materials are freely available.
The bathroom is neat and clean with a shower over the bath, toiletries and toilet roll are provided for your convenience. Bath towels, hand towels and face cloths are also included.
The garden is pleasant with seating and a barbecue.
Orchard Garden Apartment is well situated for access to both the City of Portsmouth and the attractions of Southsea. It is in a residential street but only 500 metres from Fratton Station. Here you can hop on a train to London, Brighton, Winchester, Southampton and Chichester. Taking the train is also the perfect way to reach the Historic Ships, Gunwharf Quays and Old Portsmouth which are all accessed from Portsmouth Harbour Station two stops and only 5 minutes away.
This ground floor apartment blends modern and traditional decor featuring all mod. cons. It is clean and well equipped ensuring your comfort for a long or short stay. It has two bedrooms, a living room, conservatory and a well equipped kitchen. There is free on street parking in front of the apartment and an attractive garden at the rear featuring apple, plum and pear trees.
The immediate area offers a service station and easy access on foot to a Lidl supermarket 200m away with a great in store bakery, and a large Tesco store within 1km. If you are bringing the family, there is a children's play park within 50m and indoor soft play (Krazy Kaves) also in the nearby Pompey Centre (1km) which has fast food outlets and a pay-as-you-go gym. Portsmouth FC is within 1km.
For entertainment there is Southsea beach with its 6km promenade around 1.75km to the south, Old Portsmouth with its historic charms and stunning views over the mouth of Portsmouth Harbour and, in the Dockyard, the Historic Ships, one of the biggest tourist attractions in the UK.
Shopping is plentiful with Gunwharf Quays factory outlet and the boutiques of Southsea.
Access to Portsmouth city is easy by bike or by foot. We are moments from main bus routes and Fratton Station. We have free on-road parking (vans welcome). Taxis within Portsmouth are inexpensive (average fare £5 within the City).
The University of Portsmouth is 1.5km away.
