Withy Cottages can be booked for single nights as well as longer stays. We include a simple breakfast for the first night of your stay that will be left in the kitchen for you to prepare at your leisure, together with a well-stocked store cupboard.
The cottages have been tastefully renovated with many original features restored, we have decorated and furnished the cottage as if we were to be living there ourselves and we believe that we have made a truly comfortable home from home using only the very best to ensure that your stay with us is a wonderful experience.
No 1 Withy Cottages has two bedrooms – one double and one twin, bedrooms have ample storage space. Hotel quality bed linen with soft downy duvets and pillows.The bathroom has a bath with a shower over, luxury towels, robes & toiletries. Its cosy sitting room has a wood burner (logs provided), together with 2 comfy sofas a dining table that seats four, and a TV. The cottage has gas central heating a fully equipped kitchen with a selection of herbs and spices a fridge, with freezer compartment, a microwave, kettle, toaster, washer/dryer, radio also tea, coffee, sugar are provided. On your day of arrival, fresh milk will be in the fridge so you can settle in with a lovely fresh cuppa. Outside there is a private sunny patio area with seating for 4 with a BBQ. A large safe garden for children to run around and play.
There is a public footpath that passes the cottages which lead out over open fields towards the river and Muchelney for lovely walks close to home. Pets are welcome, we ask that dogs are kept on a lead whilst in the garden.
My properties are situated on the edge of the beautiful Somerset Levels where they combine peace and tranquillity with the convenience of being easy walking distance to Langport with its pubs, restaurants and shops. Ideal for weekly, mid-week or weekend stays for families, couples on a romantic holiday or special interests such as walking, bird watching, fishing and visiting the many national trust houses and historic monuments nearby.
The ancient beauty and diverse wildlife of the area makes it one of the landscapes that have inspired many artists and photographers as well as drawing visitors from all over the world. The ancient Muchelney Abbey is less than 2 miles from Huish Episcopi and Glastonbury Tor is only 12 miles away.
The cottages were built in the early 1800's these blue lias stone cottages would have originally been thatched and Withy House was built in 1898 in the style of a Victorian Villa. Willow Vintage Caravan in the lower garden of the cottages has a shower and toilet in the garden cabin. Willow is a 50’s girl with accurate era fittings and décor. She is a very rare model which we were lucky to find, she is an all-original girl, lovingly cared for by the same family from new.
