About this property

Cottage 2 | Pine Tree Lodge Bridgnorth

This 1-bedroom cottage with a double bed combines old and new for a restful retreat, featuring an open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area, a shower room, and a small enclosed garden.

Cottage 2, originally a workshop and log store, has been thoughtfully converted into a charming 1-bedroom retreat. Ideal for couples seeking a relaxing getaway, this cozy cottage offers a tranquil escape from the everyday. Additionally, a travel cot can be provided upon request, making it convenient for those with young children.

The bedroom, located on the first floor, boasts delightful views with easy access to mown pathway through wild flower paddock walk. Furnished with a double bed, a clothes hanging rail, and ample drawer storage, the bedroom provides a cozy retreat. For guests requiring separate sleeping arrangements, a single pull-out bed can be provided; however, it’s worth noting that the space may feel a bit cramped for 3 adults. The bedroom features charming sloping ceilings, which add to its character but may require taller guests to duck in certain areas.

Outside, Cottage 2 offers convenient parking for up to 2 cars (there are two steps down into this cottage, please be aware of this in case anyone has mobility issues). The private sun terrace, accessible via the kitchen’s stable door, provides a perfect spot to enjoy the outdoors, whether you’re soaking up the sun or savouring a peaceful evening.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome for an additional £5 per night per pet, but must stay off furniture, remain downstairs, and not be left unattended. There is also an additional £15 laundry fee if sofa bed bedding is required. A retractable washing line is also available.

To enhance your stay, a complimentary bottle of wine is provided upon arrival, along with tea and coffee making facilities. These thoughtful touches ensure that you have a warm and welcoming start to your holiday, making Cottage 2 a delightful retreat for your stay.
Three charming countryside holiday cottages, perfect for couples, explorers, and those seeking local attractions.

Explore a range of local attractions, from scenic countryside strolls and peaceful fishing spots to excellent dining and vibrant markets. Golf, cycling (with National Cycle Route 45 just 200 meters away), and nature activities abound. On Saturdays, visit Bridgnorth High Town market for local artisan products. Enjoy a stroll through our well-kept wildflower paddock for a relaxing experience.

Comfy cottage, quiet village but only a short walk to Bridgnorth town and station

Well furnished, clean and warm accommodation, parking outside door of cottage No.2 Darren, the owner, is very helpful when required

Lovely property, spotlessly clean and well appointed.

The property was cosy and warm with lovely views across the countryside. There was everything I needed for my 2 night stay, even a complimentary bottle of wine. The owner was very helpful and checked in with me to see if everything was OK. I would definitely stay there again.

Our third visit to Pinetree Lodge and definitely not our last!

This was our third visit and we have now stayed in all three lodges. The accommodation was perfect as always and the Christmas lights looked very pretty! The only negative is that we can’t alway book the accommodation as it fills up quickly but this is a sign of how amazing the place is!!

Shropshire Escape

We liked everything about our stay. Communication with the host was courteous and thorough. We appreciated his adjusting our dates when plans changed a bit. The cottage was sweet, comfortable, and ideal for a couple. The location allowed access to all the sites and experiences we craved. Thank you for everything

Perfect short break stay in first class accommodation on the rural fringes of Bridgnorth.

Excellent. Immaculately appointed cottage that has been renovated to a very high standard of workmanship and materials. In a great location, safe, secure for our little dog, with off-road parking. Rural walks from the doorstep and less than a mile walk to the local, delightful, market town of Bridgnorth. Good local attractions, the River Severn and the vintage steam railway for example, and the owners are on hand for help and support.

Very comfortable , clean and well eqipped cottage. Perfect host.

This quiet location is only five minutes ride from Bridgenorth town. An ideal spot for exploring the Ironbridge area. The cottage was warm, very comfortable and cosy. Outdoor area to sit in good weather. Tea, coffee and milk provided for a warm welcome. Spares of everything including washing powder. Bedding and towels included. No need to bring extra bits, just replenish if needed. Thank you for the most comfortable stay.

High quality accommodation in a lovely location.

We enjoyed a short break at Pine Tree Lodge. It is in lovely relaxed spot, handy for a short walk into Bridgnorth and convenient for visiting Wenlock Edge, Much Wenlock, Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd. Great for the Severn Valley Railway too.

A clean and cosy cottage in a peaceful location which is an ideal base for the many places of interest in the surrounding area. Our host was most welcoming and helpful.

Blissful stay

The cottage is in a lovely quiet countryside location, yet only a 15mins walk to Bridgnorth town with a good range of shops and pubs. The surrounding countryside is ideal for walking and we had a great day out walking to IronBridge from Bridgnorth along the old disused railway track ( about 10 miles). Bridgnorth itself has the Castle Gardens, Daniels Mill , the Venicular Railway and the Severn Valley station to visit. Darren has made the cottage very cosy and modern with lots of homely extras!

everything in one cosy house!

Cold damp November weekend but the house was always warm - cleverly insulated and heated. Everything was provided and good quality too (e.g. pyrex bowls). Ample parking within yards of the accommodation. Very clear instructions.

Perfect long weekend break in Bridgnorth

Chose Pine Tree Lodge due to it location being close to Bridgnorth ~15min walk but not actually in the town. On arrival our accommodation was ease to find and located in a lovely area. The cottage was done to a high standard and the layout well thought out which gave it a spacious feel for a one bedroom apartment. Darren, our host was very communicative and replied quickly to any queries
