About this property

Views of Gatlinburg and Smoky Mountains and bear sightings!

Sits atop Chalet Village at Ski Mountain. Enjoy a romantic or small family getaway. Relax on the back deck or Hot tub for bear watching, the lights of Gatlinburg, and the visits of wildlife of the Smokies. Features mountain views and a private setting only 3.7 miles from Gatlinburg and easy access to Pigeon Forge. The clubhouse features pools, tennis, gym, & game room. You will be driving up steep, curvy and winding roads for 15 minutes, but it will be worth it!

MUST BE 21 YRS TO BOOK.
PET FRIENDLY with $100 Fee per stay. Up to 2 dogs allowed (keep in mind there is only 1 pet friendly trail nearby, The Gatlinburg Trail).

We are a family-owned business striving to ensure your experience is an idyllic getaway.
The cabin is one floor only consisting of an open space plan. There are a few steps to get to the entrance of the Cabin. The kitchen will have the essentials for cooking, there is a 4 table dining area followed by the living space which has a wood-burning fireplace (wood not supplied) and TV and half bath around the corner. The Master bedroom has a jacuzzi tub separate from the master bath which has a shower. The enclosed deck offers and brand new hot tub, dining area, rocking chairs, and a grill to enjoy the beautiful views.

We always recommend 4x4 drive during the Winter months in The Great Smoky Mountains. The cabin features paved roads all the way up and without any inclement weather any car should be fine but again, we recommend 4x4 wheel drive when visiting the area primarily in January and February.

We ask that you do not leave food outside and please DO NOT feed the bears.

Comfortable and great views

We enjoyed the hot tub. We spent most of the day hiking and checking out what Gatlinburg has to offer. After a couple times up the mountain we got more used to the trek, but still avoided making the trek at night, it's steep!

Cabin with beautiful views

This cabin is near the very top of the mountain. The drive is steep and mostly single lane and very challenging at night. Once you reach the cabin the views are spectacular. The cabin was clean, comfortable and well cared for. We did see five bears enhancing our experience.

Gatlinburg trip

It was nice, the listing looked more secluded, there’s two cabins right next to you and one right below. Pets are allowed, but the grassy area is pretty small. So not much room to exercise them. Loved the hot tub, we spent most of our time there in it. Unfortunately we were there for the hurricane, and the cabin lacks a lot in the comfort aspect with the living room furniture. Wouldn’t have been an issue if we would have been out and about more with nicer weather. Overall, it’s a nice place. However, the smoky mountain area is just so over done with the touristy gimmicks, I felt like we were on a giant fair midway the whole time. It’s much different than when I was there about 15 years ago.

Absolutely perfect!!

First, let me start by saying Tatiana is an excellent host. The cabin is very beautiful and well-maintained. The views are exceptional. It’s named appropriately Heaven’s Gate. You are literally at the top, looking down into the valley.

Our Smoky Mountain Anniversary

This property exceeded all expectations! The inside of the cabin was very spacious and we especially liked all of the large windows allowing in lots of natural light (unlike other cabins we’ve stayed in where they’ve felt dark). The view from the deck is amazing and we enjoyed sitting in the hot tub while looking out into that Mountain View. The cabin was very clean and the bathroom/kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed. The roads were a bit steep to and from the cabin but we got used to it after awhile and knew to take it slowly. Overall, the cabin was absolutely wonderful and we would not hesitate to stay there again!

Beautiful views, clean and very comfortable cabin!

This was one of the best places we have stayed at while on vacation. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed to cook dinner and enjoy the beautiful views from the hot tub! The drive up was a nail biter but worth it!

Love the Cabin, Hate the Parking and Potty Area for our Dogs

The house is very clean and overall we loved our stay for the money. Positives: Clean Priced right Hot tub and fireplace Comfortable bed View Furnished Kitchen Location close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Cons: Very small potty space. Approximately 5x10 and mostly rock with very sparse grass coming through. Parking was terrible. If you drive a truck, you will have to back out of the driveway up a very steep hill to the main road or back down from the main road to the house. Both options are not ideal. The driveway is shared between 3 cabins and very steep. The space to park for this cabin is smaller than a normal parking space. The drive is so steep you'll have to put into 4 wheel drive or have a front wheel drive. In 2 wheel drive our tires would spin. There's a house behind this cabin that is very close. If you're in the hot tub they can easily see you. No privacy. One closet and no clothes hangers. After getting more comfortable with the parking arrangements our stay got better. We wouldn't rent here again just for the parking situation. Hope this helps you as we did not have the warning about the parking or mention of a house directly behind us.

About the host

Hosted by Tatiana Isabel Brose

Host profile image
I'm Tatiana, and I've been hosting my family's cabins since 2020. Our hosting journey began after a fire destroyed my Step-Dad's cabin in 2016. Instead of rebuilding, we opted to purchase a couple of smaller cabins in 2017, leading us to the opportunity of hosting guests in the beautiful Smoky Mountains.

With a background in customer service and a knack for connecting with people, hosting feels like a natural fit for me. I'm passionate about providing a comfortable and memorable experience for guests as they explore nature and create lasting memories in our cabins.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us, and I hope your time here is filled with wonderful moments. Feel free to reach out if you need anything during your stay.

Why they chose this property

With many properties to choose from, we hope to give you the best service, in the best location, in the best city in the world. Our goal is to give every guest a wonderful vacation and will do anything in our power to make your stay at our homes, memorable. Located on top of Ski Mountain right next to Ober Gatlinburg, the views are breath taking, the privacy will be memorable, and hopefully you can catch a glimpse of the mother and Bear Cubs that have taken home to the area. Just down the mountain, you can go from a private getaway to the world of things to do in both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

What makes this property unique

As part of your stay, you will have access to the Chalet Village Clubhouses. Currently 2 Clubhouses are open, South and Alpine. Located at 1319 South Baden Drive, the South Clubhouse includes a swimming pool with sections from 1 ft – 9 ft, tennis courts, shuffleboard, horseshoes and an amazing kid’s playland enclosure for children 12 and under. Meeting rooms are available for reunions, groups and retreats at a minimum fee.
South Clubhouse is 5 minutes from our cabin, 1.2 miles.
The Alpine clubhouse, located at 1151 Upper Alpine Road includes a swimming pool, plenty of shade, and a wading pool and view of the Ski slopes. Distance is only 1.5 miles.
While other cabins are in the area, I hope you will find the private and quiet seclusion of these two cabins a getaway on the Ober Gatlinburg ski slope.
