Just Perfect
The perfect relaxing getaway. The lodges provide you with everything you need and more. The team cannot do enough to help. The cake and bread amazing and the breakfast pack excellent value and quality. The grounds are very well looked after and great for dog walking. Information pack provides you with everything you need from building a fire in the log burner to pubs, restaurants and places to visit. The hot tub is just the cherry on the cake.

Excellent lodge and location shame about the mattresses
Brilliant location, nice facilities like hot tub and everything is catered for a self catering experience, nice touch with imcluded bread, cake, tea, coffee etc...efficient service. My only gripe was the mattress, it was so uncomfortable so not the best sleeps tried both beds. That's the only negative though else brilliant

Totally chilled!
This place is the perfect place to relax and forget about the normal pressures and stress of life! The lodges are well kitted out with everything you need and are cleaned to a very high standard. The staff are friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable too! The lack of WiFi and phone signal is very liberating! There is absolutely nothing I would change about this place at all!

Peaceful
It’s like going home! Friendly people, guest and owners, peaceful, tranquil, a real escape from reality, little phone signal and no Wi-Fi means the rest of the world just disappears Must be doing something right, it’s nearly 10 years since our first visit and we keep coming back for more

Absolutely pure tranquility, we can’t wait to return
I liked everything about this stay! It was exactly what I hoped it would be which was relaxation and to take ourselves off the planet for a bit. The lodge itself was beautiful and had everything we needed for our stay, a real home from home. We came with our 13yr old son and his friend who both loved it and what to return! They spent any free time fishing in the many lakes which was an absolute bargain to hire the gear. The hot tub was enjoyed every evening! Staff were so helpful too!

Beautiful weekend away
Absolutely beautiful lodge in the New Forest, the team are fantastic and very helpful, but also leave oyu to it, you don't really see anyone unless you need to talk to them so they are great. As there are only around 9 cabins it's seems so private and calm. Hot tub on the front is a HUGE bonus! The added extras such as sparkling wine, cake and bread we're lovely additions - I wont lie, we may not go peak August again to save some pennies, but we will definitly be back.

Faultless and fabulous
The setting is beautiful and the lodges have everything you could need. Freshly baked bread and cake on arrival was a lovely touch. Waking up to birdsong was great as was chilling in the hot tub. The lack of WiFi was great. Lovely selection of games and books to borrow. Attentive staff if needed.

Perfect in every way.
The lodges are fabulous, have literally everything you need including an ice bucket! The cake and bread excellent, the breakfast pack brilliant value and top quality produce. Just so peaceful and tranquil and provided us with the relaxation and recuperation we were looking for. Literally sat for hours in the hot tub enjoying the scenery and then happy snuggling up in front of the log burner with a book. All the local pub recommendations were top notch too.

Gold Oak Farm has been owned by the Butler family for around 100 years now. In the old days it was a small fixed farm with all the work done with horses and manual labour.

The first tractor arrived on the farm in about 1950. Around that time the family started selling fresh milk door to door around the local villages. In 1986 the farm changed and became more people focused, the dairy buildings were converted into stables and the close fields are used for horses to graze on. The existing ponds were added and extended to form the basis of the day ticket coarse fishery. In 2008 the decision was taken to apply for planning permission to build luxury holiday log cabins around the lakes.

Construction of 4 Lodges started 2010 with our first guests visiting us in September 2011. We now have 10 spaced out luxury Lodges with a huge emphasis on rest and relaxation. We are very laid back hosts and will go out of our way to help you chill out. We continue to be and always will be a family business.
