We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was nice and cozy. The only complaint was that the bed was too firmfor us. It was in a convenient location to Pigeon Forge. Unfortunately we had to leave early because of an upcoming snowstorm so we only stayed one night. Hosts were quick to reply to my texts. We might stay again later during warmer weather.
Very cozy cabin close to Pigeon Forge. Beautiful view while sitting on the porch swing. Was able to see a mama bear with her cubs. Everything was great except for the cob webs above the bed and above the shower stall.
this cabin was truly refreshing. we were able to truly just relax. the view was great. Bed was comfortable . the area was quite. we hope to be back soon.

We loved it. The view was breathe taking.
The cabin was cute and the management company was excellent to work with. The only complaint we had was the television was terrible. Horrible picture. Other than that everything was wonderful!

We arrived exhausted and needed some well-earned rest and relaxation. The perfect spot for downtime! Spa pool was lovely, and bed super comfy. The internet was fast. No complaints. Only suggestion is that they supply salt in winter in case of snowfall or ice.

Not clean very musky smelling
The bed was the worst we ever slept on.. the cabin has a musky smell like hasn’t really been cleaned good. The bathroom shower curtain was mildewed and had bad smell … I put the extra bed sheets over the sofa just to sit on and watch tv due to the furniture seemed to be really dusty .. probably the worst place we ever stayed .

Reviewer Comments:
Apple Bear View is a very clean, and well maintained cabin; a great option for couples. The cabin is located close enough to town, but far enough away to give you that true mountain experience; the road to the cabin is a steep, so be prepared. During our week long stay, we enjoyed a drive through Cades Cove, and ate some really good food. Apple Barn, Dixie Stampede, and Big Daddy's Pizza were a few of our favorites. Check-in/Check-out was a breeze, and the staff of Aunt Bugs was quite helpful.
My husband and I came for a 6 night stay:
Cons..Cabin is a lot smaller than it appears from the pictures. Very little closet space, no dresser for clothes, and no bathroom sink area. Place needs a good dusting to take care of cobwebs. Parking was STEEP! NO turn around area.
Pros..Hot tub was clean, beautiful view, loved the swing on porch. Kitchen and Sitting room are fine for two people but anymore would be crowded. The check-in was easy.
I feel this cabin would be nice for a short stay, 2/3 nights, but any longer there is just not enough space.
This cabin was the perfect size for just the two of us. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, fireplace, smart TVs, jacuzzi tub, stocked kitchen, mountain views, and the location. As for check in, while I understand the reasoning, I wasnt a big fan of needing to send a selfie with my ID and a picture of my credit/debit card. It just made me feel a little uneasy with all of the scams and identity theft issues out there. Also, we recognize that this may be personal preference, but the bed could either use a mattress topper or a new mattress all together. The current mattress is very springy, but provides no cushion or comfort whatsoever. We truly enjoyed our little weekend getaway, but I wanted to share these little nitpicky things that we noticed.
Hello. I have some issues with our stay. I hate even doing this because I run a business and do not like to hear bad feedback. I spent a lot of money on this Cabin. I ended up getting sick and have been stuck in the cabin the whole time. I’m very disappointed in the cabin i’m going to tell you several things that’s going on.
1. The toilet does not stop running unless “jiggled” just right. It runs into the floor every flush. We have had to put towels around the toilet. Im letting you know this for your future stays. It’s a simple $20 fix. That could end up causing several issues for you in the future.
2. The light was out at the front door so when we arrived we cannot see how to get inside.
3. There is an animal in the fireplace.
4. There is dishwasher but not dishwasher pods/cleaner. It’s an empty box. There was also not even one pod to wash clothes? everytime we have ever stayed in anywhere there is a couple courtesy pods. No paper towels there was an empty roll. To me that’s nasty. Like it wasn’t cleaned well.
5. We can’t not even shower/ bathe because everytime you turn any water on it entire house smells like sewage. Bad. Not just a little , enough to make you gag.
6. There is cobwebs all over the house, I fell as if you need a new cleaner. I pay for the cleaning service for the stay and this Cabin was not clean. Stuff under beds, paper towel rolls, porch need sweeper off , bathtub need cleaned, spiderwebs every where, and just stinks.
7. Fire alarmed needs replaced
8. Sink in kitchen also leaks
9. Tried to contact the owners to discuss this and was told I couldn’t talk to them
10. Oh and like every “odd and end” in the place is broken, the toilet roll, the lamps, cute little bears and there is trash all outside the property.
Just needs a really really good upgrade and CLEAN for the price.
Hope the next people don’t plan to shower without smelling like fresh sewage :(
Had a great time visiting the area, looking for bears, hiking and just relaxing !!
Property was awesome. Just what I expected. The dishwasher didn’t work and the fireplace had something trying to live in it. We told property management when we checked out. Did hurt our experience!! We will do VROB again.
Overall the property was as advertised. It was great for a long weekend for my wife and I. It’s the perfect size for a couple. We enjoyed the hot tub and morning coffee on the deck.
The only serious negative is the bed. Several reviews I read ahead of booking had complaints about the bed so I figured it would be bad. It’s horrible. To spend the amount I did for three nights of terrible sleep is ridiculous considering there had already been complaints. This tells me one of two things. This owner doesn’t read the reviews or they’re too cheap to spend a few hundred dollars for a decent mattress. One review noted the bed frame collapsed on them during their stay and they had to round up some wood blocks to fix it. Low and behold.....the wood blocks are still there.
This place could be the perfect couples retreat. Word to the wise.....reach out to the property manager and demand the mattress is replaced before spending your money.
Really cute cabin. Check in was easy however best get to cabin before dark. Sign not easy to see or read. Needs new mattress.

Overall great stay and we will be back.
The stay was great other then riding around for over an hour waiting on the address so we could figure out where we needed to be and then getting it almost 20 mins past the check in time. The bed/box springs had fell in the middle before we ever laid on the bed. We had to pull the mattress off and place 3 or 4 boards under it that were used for legs. The bed definitely NEEDS a new metal frame!! There was over an inch of dust on the wood frame at the head of the bed and cob webs in lots of corners. The cabin could be deep cleaned better and more often. The hot tub was perfect and the view amazing. Again those were just simple things and we enjoyed our 7 night stay there for our honeymoon.
The hot tub wasn’t really clean, water was foaming brown and green stuff, is smelled a little but I still got in. We would love to book the same cabin in the future but hope for the hot tub to be clean and ready to go. Thanks so much for a great weekend.
We were able to do late check in, which I had forgot to make sure we could do before I booked. The pictures make it look bigger than what it is but it was actually the PERFECT size and cozy for me and my boyfriend. It was on a steep hill so if you have a manual transmission be ready to feel like you’re going to take off at the top of the hill haha. It was about 25-30 mins from gatlinburg but it was absolutely perfect. We loved it and will stay there again!

Beautiful place
Beautiful place but the driveway is hard to turn around in. Very clean! Would have like to use the wonderful tub but the water pressure is not good so it is basically something pretty to look at and the woodpecker likes to attack the home at around 8 a.m. to give you a wake up call. Lol!! Other than that, we had a wonderful time! Everyone was awesome when I called about anything! Great nice place that is close to everything unlike what others said in their reviews. We really enjoyed our stay!
The cabin was much smaller than I anticipated. The bathroom is super tiny and hard to move around in. There were some bugs in the shower as well as a smashed dead spider on the wall of the bathroom. The bathroom often smelled of sewage, as well as the kitchen occasionally. The mattress for the bed is terrible. The middle is completely sunken in, the first night I only managed a couple hours of sleep. Our first afternoon there, something shredded our outdoor trashcan bag, I called Aunt Bug's and requested a new bag. I was told they would contact housekeeping and have it brought up, we never received a new bag. I did love the deck. It has a beautiful view and it was nice to sit in the swing and just look out at the mountains. The hot tub was also nice. My husband was content with our cabin. I however expected more for our money. Don't think I would stay here again. Luckily we spent most of our time out doing things as opposed to being at the cabin.
