This stone-built cottage is situated in the secluded village of Gunnerside, 6 miles from Reeth in the Swaledale Valley. Perfect for up to 4 guests.. Ground Floor:

Bedroom 2: Zip And Link 2 x Single (3ft) Beds
Shower Room: Walk-In Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Oil central heating (underfloor in parts), electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack. Enclosed garden with patio, sitting-out area and garden furniture. Bike store. Parking (shared); additional on road parking. Electric vehicle charging point (at cost with additional £10 fee, cable provided). No smoking. There are 2 steps in the garden and 2 staircases in the property.. This historic country cottage has been completely refurbished in 2020 with quality fixtures and fittings, comfortable furnishings, exposed beams and lovely views in every direction to the surrounding Yorkshire Dales countryside.
A wonderful centrally heated holiday cottage which seamlessly combines many of the original features, with modern, luxurious styling and modern technologies. A real home from home. The sitting room with cosy wood burner has comfortable chairs and sofa and large Smart TV with Netflix account, an Amazon Echo to stream your favourite music, excellent high speed Wi-Fi connection and USB sockets for your phone charging. The shaker style kitchen and dining area is well equipped with a rangemaster stove and range of appliances with the addition of a Nespresso machine for your morning coffee.
The bedrooms are comfortably furnished with quality beds, all with wool rool matresses crisp linen to give a good night’s sleep. The master bedroom with kingsize bed has a window seat taking in the views down the village across the Dale. Climb the stairs to the next floor and find the amazing en-suite bathroom tucked away. This spacious loft styled space has vaulted ceilings, beams and velux window to take in the uninterrupted night sky. A deep freestanding roll top bath, double shower cubicle and his and hers washbasins make this a real luxurious space. The second bedroom has twin beds (which can be made up as a super kingsize bed on request) and a separate bathroom with walk-in double shower and luxurious heated flooring. There are beautiful views of the hills from the bedroom window.
To the front is a lovely south facing garden with patio and garden furniture fro al fresco dining. There is also a garage for bike storage. There is a Pod Point Solo3 7kw charger for electric vehicles, with 15m cable provided.
The village of Gunnerside is a beautiful Dales village with traditional stone-built cottages set around Gunnerside Ghyll, and an old working smithy, with a community led village pub, serving local ales and good wholesome food. There are some beautiful walks direct from the doorstep and stunning views, this is such a pretty area. Cycling is also extremely popular here, being on a stage of the Tour de France and the Tour de Yorkshire and being on the Swale Trail for mountain bikes. The Dales Bike Centre in Grinton is well equipped and provides both service and cycle hire.
The bustling village of Reeth is a short drive away, with a variety of pubs, restaurants and shops. Richmond is a must to visit with its beautiful Norman castle dominating the skyline. Take the riverside walk along to Easby or meander round the picturesque market square. Drive over to Wensleydale and visit Aysgarth to see the waterfalls or visit Hawes, not forgetting to stop off at the famous Wensleydale Creamery. A little further and you will reach Leyburn with its host of interesting shops and cafés all set around the market square. There is so much to see and do and attractions and activities to suit all. Shop 3 miles, pub 100 yards and restaurant 100 yards.
