Hayton Way is situated adjacent to the park, which contains the local leisure centre which has a swimming pool and other facilities. There is also an activity centre close by and the Leeds and Liverpool canal is just a 2-minute walk from the property.
Skipton is a bustling market town and a thriving shopping and business centre. It has an excellent selection of shops, a busy outdoor market four days a week, as well as many interesting pubs, restaurants, a cinema and a renowned livestock market. Skipton High Street was awarded ‘High Street of the Year’ beating London’s Kensington High Street and Portobello Road, and the castle stands proudly at one end.
Justifying its name of ‘The Gateway to the Dales’, Skipton offers easy access to the the limestone Dales of Wharfedale. To the south are the gritstone moors of the South Pennines, to the east is the West Yorkshire conurbation, served by three trains per hours on the route to Leeds, and to the west is the rural Ribble Valley.
As the gateway to the Dales, Skipton is surrounded by some of the the most beautiful countryside in the country, and walkers will not be disappointed. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
