Spacious apartment that offers everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The views over habour, bay and islands and the sunsets are just stunning. Located in a very nice neighbourhood. Nicely furnished, very good beds. The entrance/staircase very much needs a makeover. Excellent communication.
Absolutely beautiful apartment with the most amazing views that you just wouldn't get tired of.
Nicely furnished with comfy beds. All rooms were very spacious for the 6 of us and the Kitchen was well equipped.
We had a lovely stay.
This flat is nicely situated in Oban and close to many amenities. Comfortable beds and enough space for our group of six. The kitchen was very nice and well-equipped, allowing us to cook a few meals during our stay.
Visitors with mobility issues may have trouble walking up the stairs, but this is noted in the listing.
There is some general wear and tear to be expected with an older building. Our biggest issue was the wireless router stopped working on the second day and we were unable to get it resolved before we left. The property manager was in communication with us, so I'm sure it'll be fixed.
We enjoyed our stay in the apartment. Yes, there are stairs to the second floor, but the view from the front rooms is fabulous. We didn’t use all the bedrooms but our bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed our view. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed having a large fridge. It also had ample storage in each bedroom and plenty of towels. Oban is a lovely town to visit, sensational seafood and lots to see, particularly if you catch a ferry to Mull and Iona.
Everything thing was good. The Wi-Fi, kitchen, bathroom, etc more than met our needs. The owner was very responsive to all our communications. The only downside is that it is on the second floor and doesn’t have an elevator. This could be an issue for some people, however, the view more than makes up for this aspect of the facility. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place in Oban and would stay there again.
Excellent four day stay. Ground floor entry to building is rather austere, but that's Scottish apartment blocks for you. Once into the apartment, everything was clean, modern and welcoming. The view from the front of the building down onto Oban harbour was outstanding. At midsummer, there's still some light at 23:00 to watch the sunset and the comings and goings of the ferry boats. Car parking in the street is a bit of a battle with the locals but we managed. One of our party holds a Blue Badge and a car was essential for getting to and from town. Stairs would be a bit of an issue for some people, but we just about coped.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The property was a generous size for 5 people (2 couples, 1 single). It had a good dining area and a lounge with an epic view of the harbour and the nearer islands. It was a climb up from the town (Jacob's Ladder) but easy reach for local walks, ferry, the high street, restaurant and the Oban distillery.
Having said all that - the property needs some TLC to be a luxury property. The decor in general was in need a refresh.
The kitchen equipment needs some attention. Didn't expect gourmet standard but there was no decent sized fry pan that worked on the induction hob, limited selection of saucepans & pots. No soup ladle (I bought one and left it). No oven mitts, knives were dull, needed more tea cups and cutlery. We had enough plates and cutlery for a meal at a time but were always looking for tea cups
The bathrooms were dated and in need of attention. The ensuite shower room had a big step up and down from the shower to the floor - guests had been grabbing the towel bar which was coming off the wall. The over sink mirror was crooked.
The common entrance was dark and could have benefitted from motion sensor lights and a coat of white paint.
Having said all that - if we went back to Oban with the same group of friends - would stay there again.
Uge apartment well located in Oban. Fantastic view from the living room. Very quiet and comfy. Everything you need in the Kitchen, large table for our groupe of seven. Really easy for free car park in the street any time of the day and we were traveling during august. Nice restaurants and pubs in the city, lismore Kerrrera and Mull/Iona islands in a day trip by boats, Fort William and the Ben Nevis a short drive away. We use to come every year in Scotland for decades now, and the apartment was really a good choice in Oban. No doubt about it
