Orchard Cottage - Luxury Cottages
At a glance
Stunning views across the Menai Straits over to Snowdonia Own private orchard to enjoy Wood burner
About the property
This pretty, traditional Welsh luxury cottage is set in a 4 acre site with spectacular North Wales coastal and mountain views. Situated between Beaumaris and Menai Bridge, and conveniently placed alongside the Anglesey Coastal Path, this completely renovated home sits beside its private orchard perfect for soaking up the sun. Decorated to a high standard throughout in soft Farrow and Ball colours giving a light and contemporary feel, whilst brimming with character, this 5 star home has inside and outside charms to delight.
The space
Entering from the cottage garden and private orchard you find the bright and spacious living room. With underfloor heating, two large sofas and an inviting log burner that sits in the original fireplace giving a perfect home from home feel. The property is south facing and enjoys the sunshine throughout the day through the traditional sash window and glazed door.
Next door, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'd expect including dishwasher, microwave, gas cooker and a good sized fridge freezer. Outside there is plenty of space for entertaining in your own private sunny orchard garden with uninterrupted, elevated views of the North Wales Coast and Snowdonia Mountains.
Moving upstairs there are three comfortable bedrooms with new oak beds and furniture. All bedrooms are open into the eaves with the beams exposed to give a sense of character and space. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and luxury bed linen from which you can gaze on the same beautiful scenery. Both single rooms have quality sprung coil and memory foam mattresses on solid oak frames, along with wardrobe, bedside chest and a sweet velvet chair. The new spacious modern shower room comprises walk in shower, WC, basin, bidet, heated towel rail and mirror lighting.
Guest access
The Cottage is accessed via its own private entrance and guests will be greeted by the owners upon arrival. There is ample parking directly behind the property via a moderately steep driveway.
Sustainability
The cottage has been completely rebuilt to modern day standards and includes internal insulation, ground under floor heating (which is 25% more efficient than radiators), and being south facing benefits from passive solar gain. The cottage energy supplier is EON, who only supply from renewable sources and the log burner uses seasoned wood from the cottages' own woods so is carbon neutral. Rainwater is harvested and used for the garden and with its own well that feeds the ponds and outdoor tap. All types of recycling facilities are available and the owners even supply bags for life for those guests that forget their own. Wildlife in all forms is encouraged to include bird boxes and bee friendly plants and the elusive red squirrel has been spotted very recently. Newts and frogs inhabit the lower pond and nets are available for children to go pond dipping.
If you'd like to offset the carbon emissions from your trip get in touch and we can arrange this for a small fee.
