The Solcosta Apartments Resort is located approximately 4km from the beach and Old Town of Albufeira and consists of three small blocks of 25 apartments around a large swimming pool in 2 bedroom, 1 bedroom and studio apartments variety ( we can also accommodate larger families in a few apartments )

This advertisement is for 2 bedroom apartment which can sleep 2-6 persons.
The apartment has bedroom with a double bed, another bedroom with 2 single beds and living room with 2 single beds / sofas.

All apartments are fully air conditioned with satellite TV, direct dial telephones, safes, free WI-FI, full bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens and balcony with either pool / garden view or village/country view.
Surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens Solcosta offers its guests a large outdoor swimming pool and separate children's pool with plenty of sun loungers, reception bar, coin laundry, parking, dental clinic, hairdresser and fully equipped gymnasium.
Conveniently located nearby are various restaurants, bars, bus stop, supermarket, market, chemist, baker, butcher, banks and local church.
Mature garden with shaded areas if required, very attractive pond with fountain & small bridge running length of reception which contains large fish/turtles
Safe and well lit premises with CCTV in operation. Large lawn behind the resort very popular with the kids. Outdoor barbeque area.
Maid service included every 3 days. Bed linen and bathroom towels included. Final cleaning included. Reception available throughout the day.

We can reserve a private airport transfer from Faro Airport to Resort Solcosta. The driver will await your arrival and bring you direct to the Resort.
The costs is from €44.00 for 2 - 4 persons and €52.00 for 5 - 6 persons payable direct to the driver and the journey takes about 35 minutes.
There is also a local bus service every 30 minutes with the bus stop 150 meters from the resort to all parts of Albufeira including Old Town, Marina and the strip.
Uber from the resort to the old town of Albufeira from €5.00. Larger supermarkets like Aldi and Intermarche are only 600m from the resort ( a minute drive or 8 minutes walk )

Beau séjour

Beau séjour dans cet appartement. J'ai bien aimé la piscine, l'extérieur est très bien entretenu et le personel accueillant. Par contre l'appartement avait une odeur particulière (odeur de pousssière dans les rideaux, couvre-lits et divans). Le reste semblait propre. Et la cuisine est peu équipée, si vous avez l'intention de cuisiner. Malgré tout un beau séjour, le prix était raisonnable et reflétait bien ce que l'on a obtenu.

Solcosta apartment - family of 4 (children aged 7 and 14) , Newcastle

The apartment was extremely spacious, very clean. The decor was a tad dated but practical for the weeks stay. The layout was airy and air conditioning was ideal for the 35 degree plus temperatures during our stay. The balcony area was again a really good size with loungers and table and chairs. The pool was clean and a good size but did have an issue - whatever the cleaning agent they used in the pool caused major skin irritation to our 7 year child and other of a similar age staying at the apartments. We ended up not using the pool and ventured down into Albufeira and went to the beach. There was not a lot in the surrounding town of Ferrerias (the main rail station for Albufeira - is probably the highlight.) There were no restaurants within walking distance and only a couple of places to get a drink. We took train from Ferrerias to Lagos for the day - nice trip out and Lagos was a very pretty town with nice beach and marina. (cost 33 euros return) Albufeira was a taxi ride from Solcosta and cost 7 euros each way. Although there was a bus service unfortunately it didn't go right into the centre of Albuferia without changing buses at the bus station. In hindsight it was probably worth having a car. These apartments are ideal for a more relaxed quiet time with the family and with a car would make it an ideal base for exploring the beautiful area. I would recommend the apartments, we think the issue with the pool is easily resolved and we did tell the manager and other guests had stayed previous year without problems. The manager was a charming man and spoke good English however he could have done with some extra help as he seemed to work 24/7!!

Bestens...bis auf Kleinigkeiten

Wir (2 Erw. und ein Kind) waren insgesamt 12 Tage dort und hatten Zimmer 209. Es hat zwei Schlafräume, Küche, Bad, Wohnzimmer und einen grossen Balkon mit Blick ins Grün und zum Pool. Die Küchenausstattung ist etwas übersichtlich, man gewöhnt sich aber dran. Leider hatte der TV keinen einzigen deutschen TV Sender und das WLAN war sehr instabil, so dass man sich ein wenig von der Außenwelt abgeschnitten fühlte. Aber Dank abgeschaffter Roaming Gebühren, konnten wir uns mit den Handys ganz gut informieren. Alles in allem war das Appartment sehr geräumig, top Lage, alles sehr gepflegt und das Personal sehr hilfsbereit und nett. Die Lage der Anlage ist top. Unser bevorzugter Strand war Gale. Ausflüge haben wir nach Lagos, Portimanao, Loule und Faro gemacht. Ausser Faro alles sehr empfehlenswert. Wir kommen gerne wieder!!!

A GOOD PLACE TO STAY IN ALGARVE

The apartment was good, clean, very spacious. It could have more "kitchen stuff". There was no hair dryer as advertised... The location is OK but requires you to have a car to move around. The parking is not good at all, it could be very much improved if the management wanted to, just by marking the spaces (it is outside and exposed).

Séjour mitigé

Certes le tarif était intéressant mais nous avons été déçus par l'emplacement du logement très bruyant. Nous recherchions du calme pour nos vacances en l'ayant spécifié lors de la réservation et notre appartement bien que spacieux et bien entretenu était très bruyant notamment côté chambre et cuisine à cause de la route passant juste à côté. La vitre de la baie vitrée était cassée et réparée par un scotch, nous n'étions pas à l'aise avec notre fille de 4 ans. La porte d'entrée se fermait et s'ouvrait avec beaucoup de difficulté et de bruit, des odeurs de canalisation lors de notre arrivée dans la cuisine que nous avons traitées.. Le personnel était gentil et la piscine/extérieur très agréable cependant mais nous ne reviendrons pas dans cette résidence.

Vacances agreables

La residence est très agréable et la piscine est tres bien'. Notre appartement etait de bonne taille mais la terrasse un peu petite pour manger. L équipement de la cuisine est rudimentaire,il a peu de couverts.Le ménage etait fait correctement et le linge de toilettes est changé ce qui est très agréable.

APPRECIATION DES 15 JOURS DE VACANCES

Résidence très belle - belle piscine - le bémol l'appartement qui est petit pour une famille de 5 personnes difficile de tenir à 5 à table car petit séjour L'appartement est très bruyant plus particulièrement un des chambres donnant sur la route qui a beaucoup de passage et face à un café qui fais karaoké 2 fois par semaine L'équipement est minimal et insuffisant la vaisselle est pour le nombre de personnes donc veiller à ne rien casser Tout cela pour dire que tous ces désagréments nous ont déçu de la location heureusement que la résidence et la piscine ont nettement relevé le reste

Excellent apartments for a relaxing family holiday

First impressions did not disappoint. The grounds of these well kept apartments are lovely and the pool area is clean and spacious with plenty of sunbeds. The apartments, although in need of a little upgrading, are spacious and spotlessly clean. All the staff at the complex were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. There are plenty of local portuguese cafes and restaurants withing Ferrerias, meaning we didnt have to travel very far to find delicious local food and with a BBQ area available for use within the grounds of the Solcosta, a trip to the local butchers meant we had an enjoyable evening by the BBQ. We will definately be returning to these apartments, as they have everything you need for a relaxing holiday by the pool away from all the hustle and bustle of Albufeira. An excellent time was had by all, as there were teenagers and over 60's in our group, and we all had fun. Airport transfers were arranged through this site, and we had no issues with them whatsoever. Definately, definately, definately be back soon!!

Loved it! Solcosta (2 adults & boy 12, girl 8)

We didn't want to leave. My wife said on arrival that my research had been worthwhile as the apartment was like a home from home. The kids loved the pool and would have spent every day there given the choice. We knew before we went that the apartment was a few km from Albufeira but with the car this was a doddle. Reception offered us the free shuttle into Albufeira but to be honest the kids had a lie in almost every day - a lie in! We also knew that there wasn't a huge variety of eating places round there - however we really liked the restaurant round the corner and went there 3 times. The snack bar at Solcosta was great - I really liked the omelettes and my son loved the burger. The staff at the complex were fantastic - all we had to do was ask. We had some noisy French neighbours above us but you can get that anywhere. We would go back there in a flash and would be delighted to stay at Solcosta again if there is space. I only wished that I had received a text to tell me that we'd won the lottery and we would have stayed longer. Normally at the end of 2 weeks, you wish for your own bed but we didn't once. Thanks Andrew for your helpful advice beforehand and even since. A thoroughly memorable holiday - thank you

A hidden gem

We have just returned from the SolCosta after spending 11 days basking in the sun around the beautiful pool. I don't normally write reviews but we were so impressed with the resort I felt I should share the experience. Firstly the man on reception who checked us in on arrival & ran the snack bar throughout the day helped make our holiday as nothing was too much trouble & also recommended a few places for us to visit etc, He is a lovely man & a credit to your resort. We mainly went into Albufeira in the evenings as we have too teenagers ( 19 & 16) who wanted to be where it all happened, this was approximately 8 euro each way in a taxi. However we did stay local a couple of times & ate at "Nicola" which is just round the corner & the food was delicious, plentiful & extrmely good value for money. We also finished our evenings in the bar across the road " Cafe Lisboa", again a good place to watch the world go by whilst having a cheap nightcap. I wouldn't hesitate recommending the resort to anyone & will definitely be returning as we were made so welcome from the moment we arrived. The snack bar around the pool was also a nice change as although we were self catering we didn't want to be cooking on holiday & found it was very well priced for everything. If you do wish to eat in though there is a bakers around the corner & an InterMarche supermarket about 10 mins walk away. I can't write anything bad about the resort at all & hope go you have as good a time as us. Thanks also to Andrew for all your assistance when booking the holiday & making it as smooth as you did. review of Solcosta Apartments. Portugal

We had never visited Portugal before and really enjoyed our stay. Andrew was very helpful with the booking including the transfer taxi. The manager was also very helpful and himself and the staff spoke good english and explained where local amenities were and also took us into Albefeira a couple of times in the minibus. Our daughters' thoroughly enjoyed the pool. The only negatives for us were that our apartment faced the busy road at the front of the complex. The traffic and noise seemed to go on for most of the night which did disturb our sleep. The other negative being that without a car there wasn't really anywhere to go for a relaxing stroll in the evening. We ate at 'Nicola's restaurant several times and found the food to be of excellent quality and reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend these apartments, however if we were to book again would ask for accomodation around the pool area as this seemed quieter.

nice play to stay

We stayed there from september 13th till october 10th. It was very quiet at that time. The complex has a nice garden and pool and is well maintained. the appartment was spacy, the matrasses in the bedroom were bad The kitchen supplies were sufficient. There is a gym available, however the attributes were a bit out of date. The town of Ferreiras is typical Portugese. There are some nice restaurants where you can eat local food for a good price.

A CREDIT TO THE OWNER !!!!

My wife & I have just returned from a week's holiday at the Solcosta , Ferreiras, during which time we celebrated our 54th Wedding Anniversary & both of our Birthdays. Without exception, we were surprised to find everything was exactly as advertised (it isn't always). We stayed in apartment 111 and we found it to be spotlessly clean. We had 2 changes of bed linen & towels during our 7 nights stay. The grounds were fabulous with plenty of colour from the flowering plants, bushes & trees. The view from our balcony was great. All of the staff treat us very well, especially Gomez, who went out of his way to see that we had everything that we needed throughout the holiday. We travelled to Albufeira 3 times using the very convenient bus service. But the best part was the Portuguese hospitality afforded us in the village. Because of the exceptional weather we had, we were able to spend quite sometime, people watching, sat drinking coffee outside of the corner snack bar . Even though the staff & regular customers spoke very little English & us no Portuguese we were able to communicate. In the evening we had our meals at the 2 restaurants around the corner. Both provided very good value for money, Overall a very enjoyable holiday using Solcosta as our Home !! Many thanks to Andrew for the efficient & professional way that you dealt with our booking. Review of Solcosta Apts in Portugal

Our experience in the Solcosta was fabulous. From the moment we arrived we were met by very pleasant & friendly staff, not to mention Andrew who took the booking & kept in touch until we left for our holiday. The apartment was spotlessly clean with plenty of space & 2 balconies, it also had a full working kitchen (not that we used it!) & air conditioning. The pool is a good size & water is spotless, it has a deep & shallow end with plenty of room to swim for both adults & children. It is about 5km from Albufeira & costs €6 in a taxi. We hired a car & it's very easy to get round the resorts. They're are some lovely small cafes locally for a bite to eat or have a relaxing drink. There is no night life in the village but it really is an ideal spot for a relaxing break with the nightlife of Albufeira only 5 mins away. I could highly recommend the Solcosta for a holiday in Portugal, we will never stay anywhere else! Thanks to all it really was a great place to stay.
