Lovely spot

We knew exactly where we were staying as we have past history with the house and area , my mother came from there, we were not disappointed everything was exceptional,

Lovely getaway break

We were in this house on a wild January week and were welcomed with a lovely warm open fire and food in the fridge. There were storms, power cuts etc and our hosts took great care to make sure that we were as comfortable as possible. The house is spacious and contained everything we needed. The surrounding areas are beautiful and we enjoyed exploring several beaches which were very close by. I would definitely think of going there again.

Perfect in every way

Coral Cottage is probably the best equipped cottage that I've stayed in. It has everything needed for a comfortable stay, three nice bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with a utility room attached and a large living area. Plus the sunroom which gives great views of the Steamstown inlet. There's something very soothing and relaxing watching the tidal movements. Coral Cottage is about a ten minute drive to Clifden and a couple of minutes to Claddaghduff and Omey Island. The owners couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. The lack of Wifi is well posted on the property details and is actually a positive feature but for those who really really need phone service I found that a couple of steps outside the back door gave me all the connection I needed. I'm therefore very happy to give five stars in each category.

8/10 Good

Well located comfortable house

We had a lovely week in Cushatrough, house is well located close to great beaches while only being a 10 minute drive to Clifden. House has a great view of the water which photos of the house don’t give justice too. The house was the perfect size for us (family of 5)

A beautiful Stay

The house is 10 minutes away from Clifden on the way to Claddaghduff. It's at the end of the bay, close to fountain hill beach and omey island with a view over to Kingstown. The house was very comfortable, it has 3 bed rooms, a living room, one bath room, a kitchen and a room with a beautiful view and a stunning garden. The view goes out to the bay, I loved sitting at the there or in the living room, drinking a coffee and I just enjoyed the view. I rented the house just a day before and the owner replied very fast and they were very helpful. I totally recommand the house and I will stay there again. I'm very often in Ireland and this is a typicall irish house for me. Don't expect the clean airbnb-style, you won't get it but you will get the real irish style, just beautiful! If you need Internet, then there's one minus point, there is no WIFI and now service at all in the house. But If you download some stuff or you like to read a book, this won't be a problem then. I totally enjoyed my time there even without internet.

6/10 Okay

Lovely house and setting - needs investment and maintenance

The house is a nice size and has a lovely view over a river. It is about 10 minutes drive to Clifden and 5 minutes or so to Claddaghduff and the beautiful Omey island. It is in an isolated area on a fast road so local walking is not an option and it is c. 4 km to the nearest shop/pub/restaurant. The house is well equipped with cooking utensils and crockery but many of the dishes are chipped. The cooker is ok but has seen better days. The shower head was taped together with insulating tape making it very awkward to use. Main complaint was the mattresses. These are very poor and you can feel every spring. We did not sleep well. With a little investment this could be a really nice holiday home.
