Historic villa in Vald d'Orcia

Medieval castles, undulating hills, ancient villages, isolated farmhouses, avenues of cypress trees, incredible vineyards and olive-groves, golden fields of wheat: these are just some of the elements that make up the wonderful, harmonious landscapes of the Val d’Orcia.
Very few other places are capable of leaving such a deep impression on tourists.  This land has an almost surreal and suspended atmosphere that has also given origin to the most valuable and highly esteemed Italian wines: Brunello di Montalcino, Nobile di Montepulciano,
Today the whole area is a protected park which has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2004.

Castelrotto is located inside a vast 600 hectare estate situated between Montalcino and Siena.  The entire farm uses organic farming methods, from the 8 hectares of vineyard, to the production of cereals, to the PDO extra-virgin olive oil.
The landscape of age-old olive-groves set against the backdrop of Montalcino and the splendid view of the Golf Club of Castiglion del Bosco offer a unique panorama.
The main farmhouse has 6 bedrooms and 6 private bathrooms in addition to which there is a children’s room, while the small hay loft at the center of the garden has another 2 double bedrooms with private bathroom.
The beautiful swimming pool, which has just been refitted, provides a unique view of the valley beyond the olive-grove.  All the bedrooms have air conditioning and some even have old-style ceiling fans.
Outside a covered patio and a second pergola, together with a barbecue, are available to guests for al fresco suppers.  The villa has an iPod docking station and a CD player as well as flat screen TV with cable channels.

Castelrotto is just 3 km from Buonconvento where it is possible to find everything necessary for your stay and excellent restaurants; it is 30 km from Siena, 18 km from Montalcino.  The nearest airport is Firenze Peretola which is 100 km away from the structure.

In the version for maximum 14 persons 7 bedrooms available.

The main villa is divided into a north and a south wing.
In the north wing, on the ground floor, there is the main living-room and the dining-room (90 sq.m.); a fully equipped modern kitchen with dishwasher; large glass doors open on to the garden where guests can enjoy evening cocktails with a panoramic view of Montalcino.
A large covered patio, right next to the living-room and kitchen has been furnished as an outdoor dining-room.

The first floor of the north wing has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms:
The first bedroom has a king size bed, air conditioning and private bathroom with shower.
The second double bedroom also has a king size bed and air conditioning, it uses an adjacent bathroom with shower without a window.
The third bedroom, with air conditioning and king size bed, communicates with a children’s bedroom: two 190 x 90 single beds and air conditioning; both bedrooms share a bathroom with shower.

The south wing only has one floor and consists of:
a bedroom with two 90 x 190 single beds that can be joined together, with air conditioning and mosquito screens on the window; bathroom with external bathtub.
A double bedroom with air conditioning and mosquito screens on the window and bathroom with shower.
Double bedroom with queen size four-poster bed, air conditioning and en-suite bathroom with shower.
A children’s bedroom with two 190x90 single beds, without air conditioning, that shares the bathroom of the room with the four-poster bed.
Many bedrooms also have a ceiling fan.

Annex:
On the ground floor there is a spacious living-room with fireplace; a fully equipped kitchen; a double bedroom with bathroom (en-suite shower) with view of the olive-grove and swimming pool.
On the first floor, which is accessed via a wooden staircase, there is a double bedroom with air conditioning and en-suite bathroom with shower.

In the version for maximum 18 people 9 bedrooms available.

In the version for maximum 14 persons 7 bedrooms available.
