Amazing stay at PS1
An architecturally stunning house in a great location, minutes from the beach and RHD railway. Floor to ceiling windows make the most of the views from every room. Comfy beds and huge towels were the icing on the cake!

Last minute special offer!
Beautifully designed, appointed and well equipped. Tasteful furnishings and finishes. As soon as you walk in you feel an enormous sense of calm and wellbeing. Our favourite moment was sunset coming in through the huge floor to ceiling windows across the shingle expanse outside giving the place a beautiful glow. And the red moon rising from the sea. Fabulous walks along the seafront and back across the marshes where the gorse was in bloom around the lakes. Fish shack lunch and fresh fish to cook for dinner. We have had our eye on PS1 for a while having stayed in the wonderful Fog Signal several times and were lucky to get a last minute booking.

Never wanted to leave…
Absolutely loved staying at the pump station. I took my elderly mother and senior dog for a relaxing week and it exceeding all our expectations. The views, the snack shack right across the road with great fresh seafood, the peace and quiet.. everything was just lovely. We will certainly try and come again.

Great place to stay with just some minor issues with furniture comfort And the most difficult front door , which needs to be properly adjusted and equipped with a door pull caused issue on every attempt to lock and open

A very restful weekend away
We enjoyed our stay at PS1. It’s a beautifully designed property. We felt very cosy and warm with the fire lit. We also loved Dungeness. The only let down is the bed in the master bedroom. The mattress is thin and squeaks! For a property of this calibre and price, this isn’t really good enough.

Thoughts.
Overall a fantastic and relaxing stay, so cannot complain about that. Great, high quality interior, and communication from the hosts was perfect. I had a small issue with the heating (was far to hot), sent a text and all was explained/resolved within a couple of hours. Things no so happy with though: - Beds, not good quality mattresses. For the price you’re paying I expect mattresses like a good hotel, not cheap or old ones.. - No washing machine (that I could find) - Lack of basic kitchen things like tin foil/cling film/kitchen towels/cleaning products and salt and pepper. (Everything else provided though) Those issues aside, I would go back again.

Don't stay here if you want to sleep well.
We love the bleak calm of Dungeness and we loved the PS1 main living area. A carefully curated space in which we could relax away from demanding work. We were however astonished to discover that the sleeping arrangements were in stark contrast to the general vibe. They were really not good. We had read several reviews drawing attention to the hard mattresses and pillows, and after calling the agency we took our own pillows which partly solved that problem . Unfortunately we were able to feel the springs in the (noisy) mattress. The mattress arrangement in the second bedroom - two single mattresses inserted sideways into the double bed frame - was not comfortable. The duvets were cheaply filled affairs that were far too heavy for the summer. On our last night there was an overnight storm. We then discovered that the beautiful and very long French windows would not close properly at the top; there was a centimetre or two gap between window and frame. It proved impossible to close it and so the wind whistled and howled through the gap throughout the night. In addition the felt curtain arrangement, which ended roughly a metre from the top of the windows was entirely ineffective against the dawn light streaming in. Upon arrival we found the bathroom sink was blocked and upon use oozed black matter; this required a handyman who cleared the blockage but left the sink leaking and unusable.. We have privately reviewed the PS1 and been informed that the owner has considered our views and suggestions but has no current plans to take any action. That is a great shame.

Beautiful house but some inside issues
Overall we had a great holiday. We love dungeness having stayed at north vat earlier this year. The two are comparable outside but not inside. Think there should be a welcome pack or if you do not want to provide one then let us know. Also we are used to some basics being there from previous renters e.g. Tom sauce, spices etc. Would have liked to have a tv in living room. Not sure snug would work as a bedroom as have to use an en suite bathroom in other bedrooms. And finally the beds are so uncomfortable. Mattresses need replacing. As I say we did have a great week but improvements to the above would bring us back again. Thank you.

stunning location - incredible house
a minimal house which makes use of the unique environment. The house was spotless and generally comfy - it felt special. small moans - no washing machine (we were there 5 days) and no telly - I know but we ended up huddled round a small laptop watching monsters inc. Gungeness is incredible

Eternally grateful to Bloom.
What an extraordinary escape this was, and only 20 minutes from home but transported to another world. We've visited Dungeness by day, but staying here is an experience on a whole new level. I was particularly mesmerised by the lighthouse at night - wow!. We felt so inspired, by the setting as well as the superb PS1 building - a stunning conversion of a WW2 pump station into a dream holiday home with so much of the original on display (concrete has never looked so good!), but all the luxuries to wallow in. Thank you Bloom Stays, you were amazing. We booked in the morning and arrived in the afternoon - I don't know of anyone else who is that dynamic and well organised. We trusted you from the word go and can't believe our luck!

Just fabulous
We wanted for nothing in PS. Finished to an extremely high standard with everything thought of and provided. Location is amazing - we only live around 25 miles away but it was like being in another world. Just amazing. Only thing for us was that the beds and pillows are very hard and we didn't really get a good nights sleep throughout our 3 night stay.

Great location and design
Stunning property with fantastic interior, top quality fit out slightly let down by uncomfortable bedding, lack of decent cleaning equipment, bath not working, internet unavailable for part of stay and nothing done. With a few tweaks this could be excellent in every category

Wild part of England, stunning property
Absolutely stunning property. It’s bunker like exterior gives little away, but step through the front door and you know you’re somewhere special. The house was tranquil, calming and beautifully designed. Dungeness is a quirky corner of the country, desolate yet beautiful. It was a great base from which to explore the coast and surrounding towns. We will be back for sure.

Unique stay
Fantastic opportunity to day in a beautiful building in a unique location the house was welcoming and luxurious and warm as soon as you walked in. Being surrounded by the vast shingle nature reserve, so close to the sea was very relaxing. An added bonus was buying the freshly caught fish at the local fish shack-just a few minute walk away. Would love to go back!
