Fantastic central Ambleside location with stunning mountain views
View to the Fells is a two bedroom apartment over two floors situated minutes from the centre of Ambleside. Views to Loughrigg Fell and the Fairfield Horseshoe dominate with the rooftops of Ambleside below. The Coniston Fells are also clearly visible (weather permitting). The apartment faces south west and benefits from afternoon and evening sun.
A good sized entrance hall gives access to the open plan lounge, kitchen, dining area. A private balcony is accessed from the kitchen; just the place to sit and relax after a day on the fells or after enjoying the delights of Ambleside’s many shops, cafes and other attractions. The balcony faces south west so makes the most of the sun and the sunsets. The kitchen has been recently refurbished to a high standard and benefits from a large 70/30 fridge freezer; a double oven with grill; a microwave oven; a ceramic hob and a dishwasher.
A shower room with WC and sink is also accessed from the hall and there is also a large cupboard for coats, boots etc.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms: one with a king size bed, the second is set up as a twin. Each bedroom has a double wardrobe and a chest of drawers to store your belongings. A second shower room is situated on this floor.
All linen is provided including towels and tea towels.
The heating is provided by electric radiators and is included in the price. Wi-Fi is free and provides a good signal. The TV in the lounge is a smart TV so bring your log-ons and watch your catch up services.
There is an allocated parking space, which is a bonus in Ambleside and the access from the car park to the apartment is either via stairs or the lift.
The apartment is situated 2 minutes from the centre of Ambleside via a steep public footpath. An alternative less steep 5 minute walk to the centre is also available. Ambleside has many shops and restaurants to choose from as well as a number of pubs. For vegetarians there are two vegetarian restaurants. There are also two cinemas and a walk to Lake Windermere will reveal the remains of a Roman Fort. For those who prefer to walk without using a car there are several walks available from the village ranging from the strenuous to the more leisurely. Recommendations are provided in the apartment.
Ambleside is ideally situated in the centre of The Lakes with all Lakeland destinations being within an hour's drive. If you fancy a sight of the sea the coast is also within easy driving distance. Lake Windermere is a twenty minute walk from the apartment where Lakeland steamers run frequently.

Fabulous location close to everything in ambleside with fantastic views over ambleside and the fells from the apartment. The apartment was spotless clean we will definitely stay there again.
This is an excellent apartment, beautifully clean and well maintained. It is right in the middle of Ambleside, so lots of restaurants on your doorstep and easy access to the wonderful Lakeland landscapes. We will definitely visit again.
The apartment was very comfortable in every way. The living area was gracious with beautiful views and comfortable seating. The beds were also very comfortable, and the shower was amazing. The location was perfect for exploring Ambleside and the parking made having a rental car easy. We loved it and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend.
Wonderful stay so near to the centre of Ambleside. Views amazing, although the rain and low cloud we experienced everyday made these impossible to see most of the time! Lovely and warm and great showers, essential with so much rain. We had a wonderful time despite the weather.
Very comfortable apartment in an excellent location
View to the Fells is a really comfortable apartment in an ideal location in the centre of Ambleside. Furnished and equipped to a high standard, the lovely view over the town rooftops is the icing on the cake. Lots of pubs, cafes and restaurants are just steps away, and rewarding hikes can be undertaken right from the front door.
Good sized property with a very smart kitchen and superb views over to Loughrigg. We would stay again so can’t give it a better compliment than that. Only problem we had was with the parking, the spaces are narrow and it was difficult to access the car when others were parked alongside.

Great apartment with fantastic views. Well appointed apartment which is kept in clean and good order. A good base for exploring the lakes. A short walk down a steep hill takes you right into the centre of the town of Ambleside with its shops and a good choice of restuarants and pubs. Very good communication with the owner and easy check in/out process. Excellent place to stay.
Lovely spacious and comfortable apartment with everything you could need. Lovely place to relax after a full days hiking in the fells with views and sunsets to admire from the balcony. Parking space which is a bonus. Very close to Ambleside with shops and places to eat. Great walks from the doorstep and from Grasmere, just up the road. Our second visit to this apartment, am sure we will be back again!
If anything, the views from the windows are even more amazing than the pictures suggest. The place was lovely - very modern and very clean. Beds were comfy and showers were wonderful after a long day of walking. And, the owners attended to a small problem very quickly and satisfactorily. I would absolutely stay here again!
Loved our view across Ambleside, lots of space in the apartment which had a fully equipped kitchen, two good sized shower rooms spacious bedrooms plus balcony good for four people.
Ambleside is a nice small town and the location of the apartment allows you to leave the car and walk anywhere; a weekend wasn't enough I wish we'd stayed a week.
We greatly enjoyed our stay here, especially sitting out on the balcony for breakfast & dinner. Apartment was spotless & very spacious. It was a bank holiday weekend, so with the windows open at night to enjoy the cool breeze, noises from revelers in town would wake us up. But this was a minor inconvenience & we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Everything was great. Very clean. ex. wifi, lift was a bonus, good quality linens, towels, cutlery, china etc. Spacious too. Parking is right outside. Close to downtown down a short but quite steep path. Highly recommended
Even though this review will probably result in us having even more trouble booking this remarkable apartment in the future I have to say it was one of the most pleasant properties we've ever had the pleasure to stay in. Clean, bright, modern and with fantastic views - especially if you're lucky enough to see a sunset over the mountains with Ambleside set out before you. Near to all amenities, buses, walks, shops. Due to the weather we were not on this occasion able to use the balcony - next time! Owner was at hand at all times and replied swiftly. The weather...well it's the Lake District! Otherwise a perfect stay.
My friend and I stayed here for a few nights wanting a Lake District getaway that we could do without a car. This was perfect because it’s right in Ambleside, easy to get to on public transport and with great access to incredible walks. The place was clean, perfectly sized and had the best view in town!
We had such an amazing stay. The location and property itself was perfect. We all where able to just relax and enjoy the surroundings. Flat was very well equipped and will need to come back again

We lived in the flat for a couple of years before moving to other accommodation in Ambleside. The co-owners live in Birmingham. We decided to holiday let the flat as it is in a perfect location for those who wish to explore the many different aspects of the lake District. Being a host and providing a great place to stay in opne of our favorite locations is very rewarding.
Why they chose this property
Ambleside is a thriving village in the Central lakes. All areas of the Lakes are easily accessible by car and there is also an excellent bus service to other local villages and valleys. Ambleside itself has many restaurants and bars to suit all tastes from pubs that serve food to Vegetarian restaurants to Michelin Star restaurants. There are also restaurants catering for many different cuisines: Indian; Thai; Italian; British and Chinese. In addition Ambleside is surrounded by fells from the most strenuous to the slightly less so, also there is the option of easy walks to the lakes at Waterhead, Rydal and Grasmere.
What makes this property unique
Our property was originally part of a time share development and has very secure access. It is over two floors with the bedrooms upstairs and has two fully equipped bathrooms. The open plan downstairs area is light and airy and the enclosed balcony with views over Ambleside and the fells is perfect for relaxing after a day on the fells or after exploring Ambleside and further afield. Also the property has a designated parking space, a rarity in Ambleside.
