About the property
With views stretching across the fields towards a horizon that drops into the sea, this brand new house in the picturesque village of Malborough is contemporary, welcoming and perfect for a peaceful holiday in South Devon.
Think long countryside walks and cosy nights in or pop up to the pub for the perfect winter comfort food selection.
A short drive from the popular seaside town of Salcombe, The View enjoys the tranquillity and space of being away from the crowds, but it’s within easy walking distance of all the best bits that this beautiful part of the world has to offer. It has space to park two cars right outside the property (with additional visitor parking close by). Walk inside and a neat hallway leads you to a spacious lounge, downstairs WC and a light-filled kitchen/dining area that opens onto the garden.
The lounge is a restful space, complete with plenty of comfy seating and a flat screen smart TV (Smart TV services only - Live TV only available through Apps). Meanwhile, the kitchen/dining area is a convivial environment with every modern convenience you could ask for. There’s bench seating around a spacious dining table that seats 6. Neat storage space hides everything you need from ironing boards to hoovers, and the enclosed garden is a south facing sun trap complete with an immaculate AstroTurf lawn and outdoor seating for four.
Upstairs the master bedroom overlooks the garden and the fields beyond. It features a double bed, a generous amount of wardrobe space and has a large en-suite shower room. The second has two single beds and sits next to the master bathroom, which includes a bath with overhead shower. The Third bedroom also overlooks the garden with a bunk bed.
Recommended for: The View is immaculately decorated and is perfect for small groups of friends or a family of four looking for a sophisticated but relaxing getaway.
Favourite feature: The south facing aspect of the property makes it a wonderful place to spend time, especially in the garden or chatting over meals in the kitchen with the double doors open.
Need to know: The property’s location in Malborough gives you the space to enjoy your downtime whilst being within easy reach of the beaches, the coast path, the shops and the restaurants.

About a holiday in Salcombe
Salcombe is a historic fishing and sailing town that has become famous as a holiday destination because of its natural beauty and its local charm. Blessed with more beaches than you can visit in a week, a jaw-dropping estuary and magnificent walks along the South West Coast Path, it’s also filled with local traditions. For example, there’s the Town Regatta in August, excellent sailing opportunities, its own gin and ice cream factories, unparalleled clotted cream fudge, a magnificent bakery, and restaurants such as Captain Flint’s and The Winking Prawn that have practically become a rite of passage for visitors. Malborough itself is a chocolate box village that has a vibrant community. It has two pubs to its name, including The Old Inn, which you can walk to easily from the property for drinks or dinner (don’t forget to book). There’s also a Co-op store and petrol station just a two-minute drive from the house, for any last-minute conveniences and food shopping.
