Devonhill is a beautiful country cottage with stunning views of Luce Bay. Devonhill has been completely refurbished and renovated in 2021 and is a delightful cottage with spacious rooms and just the perfect location to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday.
The cottage is tastefully furnished throughout and a real delight is the conservatory which overlooks the garden and the stunning sea views. The small coastal hamlet of Stairhaven is just a few hundred yards away where you can enjoy a day on the lovely sandy beach or take a walk over the cliff tops to Auchenmalg where you can enjoy a meal or drink at the pub overlooking the sea! This delightful corner of South West Scotland is a delight where you can enjoy everything from stunning cliff top walks to strolls along sandy beaches and inland the Galloway Forest Park, the UK’s first dark sky park, has miles and miles of walking trails and some superb and challenging mountain bike trails.
A stay at Devonhill would not be complete with a trip to The Mull of Galloway, Scotland’s most southerly point and home to the RSPB nature reserve and is part of the much larger Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Special Area of Conservation for its seabirds, plants and coastal habitats. Here you can see many species of birdlife, the cliffs being home to guillemots, razorbills and kittiwakes while ravens and peregrine falcons are regularly seen around the cliffs. Out to sea there are dolphins, porpoise and minke whales to spot. If you need a spot of shopping on holiday, Stranraer is only a short drive away or why not take a day trip to Ireland on the ferry from Cairnryan for your retail therapy. Devonhill really has it all! Beach 1 mile.
