Property was clean and cosy with everything we needed for a short family break. Location is great with nice walks close by. Beds are super comfy and the showers are amazing.
Modern, clean - well equipped house. Within walking distance of Aviemore.
Situated in a quiet close. Lots of things to do in the surrounding area - Highland Wildlife Park, Highland Folk Museum, Ruthven Barracks, Strathspey Railway, RSPB Osprey Centre, to name but a few. Wonderful stay, and would not hesitate to book again.
We had a lovely comfortable stay in this house with young kids. Everything was ideal and we really relaxed as the house catered for everyone. I’d recommend this house to everyone!!
This is our second visit to Bryony House and it still didn't disappoint. Fantastic house with everything you need for a family and close enough for a walk into town. Cant wait to return again
The property was of a great standard. Very comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. Great access to Aviemore and all the activities in the surrounding area.
The house was everything we needed for a short mid term break in Aviemore . Clean, comfortable and convenient for walking into Aviemore . A great base to explore and take part in nearby activities . Would highly recommend staying here if planning a trip to Aviemore !
The house was in a great location being in a neighborhood and not in the very busy town center. The house was well equipped. Access to the Cairngorms, rural speyside and the many distilleries to the east was easy.
Location is ideal, have shops, pub and a short walk and you’re on the Main Street in Aviemore. House was well equipped, cleanliness to a high standard, great set up for both the families staying. Had a slight issue had to get in touch with hostess and she was able to sort it out very quickly, which was appreciated. Looking forward to booking again for next summer.
We stayed in the Feb school holiday 2022. The "home" was very well equipped with everything that we needed as a family and was decorated to a very high standard. It's located approx 10min walk from the centre of town in a nice peaceful quiet cul-de-sac safe for the children to play outside. The communication from the host was excellent We had one slight issue with the heating our fault but was guided through it by Sonja (host). We had an absolutely fab stay and had the added bonus of snow and lots of it. We came back from our stay and rebooked for next year!!! Can't wait till we return
Delivered on everything…including a white Christmas
Travelling with a large group of 7 had its challenges but from the moment we arrived at Bryony House we felt comfortable, relaxed and enjoyed every moment. Sonja’s communication from the day we booked was always of the highest calibre and kept us updated with what we needed to know.
We stayed over Christmas with the hopes of seeing some snow and we were very lucky to get this. Walking to town (even in the snow) was so simple and ensured that we could access everything we needed without needing a car.
Aviemore was wonderful with neighbours being so helpful and showing us the best way into town, customer service within the shops, taxi drivers, train station attendants and everywhere else was of the highest level.
We would absolutely recommend Bryony House and Aviemore.
Schönes Haus in ruhiger Lage.
First time staying at this property and it won't be the last. Loved it, was home from home, very clean and had everything you need. Look forward to staying here again xx
Fantastic holiday home in a greatl/quiet location for exploring the Aviemore area. The house was equipped with everything we needed and more. Super clean, super comfortable, would highly recommend. Thank you Sonja 😁
Andreas

About the host
Hosted by Sonja Smith
Hi my name is Sonja and I am the owner of Bryony House in Aviemore along with my husband Scott. We live an hour away from Aviemore in the town of Buckie on the Moray coast. We have visited Aviemore since we were both young and I personally have always loved it. so when the opportunity came to own our own property there we jumped at the chance. We use the property ourselves with our family and little cavapoo dog Buddy. Our kids are teenagers now but still also enjoy the short breaks there too. Its our home from home.
Why they chose this property
We were extremely lucky to get this property when it came on the market. It was word of mouth through a friend that we heard the owners was selling. We viewed it and fell in love with the location. It is situated in a very quiet cul de sac and surrounded with trees and the back is very private. We could see potential in making it our very own home from home holiday home. The property required quite extensive work so we have since been renovating bit by bit and can say that we are nearly there. We installed all new showers, toilets and basins including a water pressure pump to allow for power showers. We replaced all the windows and doors to new grey pvc to give the more modern contemporary look. We have replaced fencing and landscaped back and front gardens with new paving. Each room has been tastefully decorated. I take pride in our house as we love to visit and stay there ourselves. I visit regularly to ensure it is in tip top condition for each of our guests. I like to keep a close contact with our guests to ensure they have the most enjoyable and comfortable stay.
What makes this property unique
