A great place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is adorable and in a great neighborhood quite near the Vatican. It’s a perfect home base for an exploration of Rome. The accommodations were comfy and clean. We felt right at home from the beginning. I particularly enjoyed the updated kitchen. We’d come back in a heartbeat!

Comfortable apt, away from major tourist sites

We stayed for two weeks which allowed time to explore neighborhoods and get away from the hordes of tourists for much of our time. We liked the immediate neighborhood - lots of restaurants and food shopping. Andreas gave us a number of good suggestions for eating and touring.

Great location

Great location to enjoy Rome! The little apartment is well appointed and the neighborhood quiet. It is walkable to the Vatican and the Metro line which is easy to use to get to all of the other sites.

Perfect space and great area

We enjoyed the stay. The space was great with the patio seating. Very clean and spacious for a quick or extended stay. We also enjoyed how close it was to shopping and the Metro. The host was very nice and provided advice and tips on getting around the area, plus sights to see and do.

Cute place with great location

We loved our 2 day stay. It was very close to the Vatican and easy to walk, take the bus or train! It was very clean and had a comfortable bed. The air conditioning was perfect given to hot weather. Also loved the recommendations!

Great stay

Great place to stay- very comfortable and great room, with the outdoor patio being a fantastic added bonus. It felt tucked away and in a quiet area. The surrounding neighborhood was nice, with many eating options. Close to many transportation options to travel easily to many parts of the city.

Bellisima!

I loved the small outdoor terrace. We were conveniently located to a restaurant next door, a market 1/2 a block away and a laundry across the street. We were within walking distance of the Vatican! Things to know: it is a long walkway up to the apartment,

Wonderful Apartment

Roberto, our host, made our stay very comfortable. He also arranged a transfer for us from the airport. The apartment is lovely and has all the amenities you would need while away from home. Loved that they had a sign with a map of the street, restaurants, and shops. Plus you are within walking distance of the Vatican. Overall we were very happy that we stayed at Casa Sofia.

Cute Casa Sofia

We enjoyed the very comfortable bed and great kitchen set up at Casa Sofia. This property itself is mostly flat but there's a hundred steps that may not be easy for everyone to navigate. The toilet is extremely crowded. We appreciated the air conditioner and nice towels.

Quaint Studio

A tiny hide-away

This is a lovely, small apartment. The little patio is very sweet and the host even left us a chilled bottle of Prosecco to enjoy. The location is about a 30-minute walk to the Vatican, but closer to the Vatican museum. Other attractions in Rome are a distance but the bus is very convenient. And the host arranged for a car to take us back to the airport after our trip. The only thing that was not mentioned in the ad is that there are a number of steep stairs, some spots without handrailing to get to the apartment. This was a problem for us as we had a lot of luggage and it was a difficult trek up.

Casa Sofia was lovely

We found Casa Sofia perfect for our stay in Rome. It is in a good location, close to the Cipro Metro station. The patio was private and green, a very pleasant place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. The place was a perfect size for our family of two adults and one child. Our host was so helpful with recommendations for nearby restaurants and shops. We especially enjoyed La Fornace Restaurant located right outside our gate. Check in was very easy and convenient. I highly recommend Casa Sofia!

Quiet and Great Location

Spent the last couple nights of our honeymoon here at Casa Sofia. The property was exactly what we needed. You are a nice short walk to Vatican City and the Museum, and the Cipro station is just down the street. It's a pretty far walk to places like the Colosseum or Pantheon but it can be done. Tucked up and back behind a gated entryway, privacy and security were not a concern, just be ready to lug your bags up the steps. The hosts were great to work with and communication was great. Plenty of restaurants and shops right within walking distance. Highly recommend, in my opinion this is the best area to stay in Rome.

Wonderful Stay

The apartment is quiet and tucked in a lovely garden behind other homes and apartments. The stairs and walk up to the apartment are like climbing 2 floors. They are narrow, but not steep, and I was very glad we had small suitcases. It was simple enough to get to public transportation and Vatican Museum is walking distance. There were grocery stores, restaurants and shops nearby. The air conditioning and thermostat control was much appreciated because we arrived during a very hot week, and the air conditioning made this even more of an oasis. We didn't realize the laundry was shared in a hallway with other units until the end of our stay. Everything was comfortable, and the decorating is simple and beautiful.

Cute place

Very clean nice place, walking distance to Vatican. Worked perfect for us because we rented a car for our two week trip all around Italy and this place is outside of the no-drive zone. We parked in the garage and used public transportation to get to Trastevere and other locations until it was time to leave Rome (the bus stop is right by the apartment). The place was very clean, small but comfortable and the three of us (me, my husband and our 14 yo) were perfectly fine. The beds were comfortable, the outdoor space was adorable, it was quiet and there was a nice restaurant just outside the gate. We had trouble understanding how to unlock the gate (our fault lol, we were super tired when arrived) and the hist was instantly available to help.

Beautiful, great location

We loved Casa Sofia! Beautifully decorated, love the terrace, complimentary wine, and advice on nearby shops and restaurants. Our main attraction for this leg of the trip was the Vatican and it's so close by! AC worked great, bed was comfy, kitchen and bathroom were clean and modern! Indoor seating area was nice too. Clear and easy checkout instructions. Only "know before you go" stuff: The street entrance is a small barred gate between a closed shop (with graffiti on it) and a nice restaurant, and in our jet lag, we thought the taxi driver was dumping us at the wrong place bc it looked nothing like the photos. Also, the photos show one pretty and manageable flight of stairs, but there are two long flights of stairs -- a challenge in the heat with luggage. And third, lol, there's not much leg room in front of the toilet -- but we know small bathrooms are common in Roman apartments.

Cute apartment in a perfect location!

We had a great stay at Casa Sofia! The apartment was a good size and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect - it was only a couple minutes walk from the cipro metro station and an easy walk to the Vatican museums and St Peter's square, but the neighborhood was quiet and full of locals. We loved visiting the local cafes and small fruit market on our street and then going back to our lovely terrace to enjoy breakfast. There were also several delicious restaurants close by, and our host provided a great list of recommendations. The check in process was fairly simple, we had to call our host to get him to unlock the front gate and then the keys were in a lockbox at the entrance to the apartment. Our host was very responsive both in the VRBO app and on whatsapp, so communication was very simple. From the gate off of the main street we did have to walk up a hill with maybe 20-30 steps total to get to the apartment, we had no issues with this but it may be more challenging for anyone with mobility issues. The steps are also a bit uneven and slippery in the rain. The apartment was really cute and looked just like the photos in the listing. The terrace was lush and fairly private so it was the perfect place to unwind. We would definitely stay here again!

Très bon séjour à Rome

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à Rome dans cet appartement avec une petite terrasse agréable. L'appartement est confortable et propre. il est situé proche d'une station de métro et d'arrêts de bus ce qui est pratique pour visiter Rome. Un grand merci à l'hôte Roberto qui a été disponible et nous donné des adresses de restaurants et glaciers.

Casa Sofia

Casa Sofia was perfect. Just the right size for the three if us traveling. Very clean. The patio área was great for having drink in the morning and evening.
