Nice apartment. Nice terrace. Ideal for a week away. Good location.

There are five of us (two adults and three kids age 10 - 15). We stayed here in late May / early June 2018 for one week. It's a block of apartments with this one being on the top floor. There are three flights of stairs which was fine by us but worth bearing in mind if you have mobility issues. The top floor means you get a fairly big terrace which we sometimes ate outdoors on. The apartment is equipped with most things you need and has an air conditioning unit in the bedrooms - which we needed at this time of year. There's a main double bedroom and the other room is semi-split into two - one with a small single, the other - two small single beds. It's effectively one room though. It's great for a family with young children but you wouldn't want to try and fit five adults in. There is a supermarket nearby - we had a hire car which helped. Parking is at the roadside on what is a fairly quiet street. Noise was never a problem. There is a football ground right at the back of the apartment but I only saw children using it for a tournament and that was on only one occasion. Beyond the football ground are amazing views of mountains. The beach is indeed only 100 metres away, however access is via a path owned by a local bar who charge you to use it. This doesn't seem uncommon in Italy. If you walk down nearer the town there is free public access and a bit of beach where you don't have to pay for a sun lounger. It's not an unreasonable walk but is more than 100 metres. The town seems nice and has a market. It's probably a 10-15 minute walk away. There are good restaurants within walking distance of the apartment. Formia isn't overly touristy and we didn't see many other Brits there. The scenic town of Sperlonga isn't a long drive to get to and worth a visit as is the nearer town of Gaeta. We did a trip to Pompeii and Vesuvius one day. It's a 90 minute drive each way but is certainly doable. All told, the apartment was good value and suited our needs well. If we were to visit Formia again I'd definitely use the same apartment. Diego and his father were pleasant and really helpful. They went out of their way and texted during the holiday to check all was ok. Great value family holiday.

Herzliche Aufnahme in heller Dachwohnung

Der Aufenthalt war wunderschön. Es startete damit, dass die Eltern des Vermieters und alles in der Wohnung und in der Umgebung zeigten. Man könne sich jederzeit an den Sohn mit Fragen wenden könnten. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut strukturiert: Eine ganztägig sonnige und nicht einsehbare Dachterrasse, entlang des Randes mit Oleander bepflanzt. Es gibt im Haushalt alles, was man braucht, z.B. eine Staubsauger, Waschmaschine, Liegestuhl und Strandschirm. Die Wohnung liegt etwas außerhalb von Formia, dort wo es wirklich ruhig ist. Man kann gut zu Fuß in 15-20 min ins Zentrum laufen. Im Sommer kommt man direkt am Ende der Straße an den Strand. Außerhalb der Saison geht man ca. 15 min entlang der Ausfallstraße weiter stadtauswärts und kann in einem Café oder Supermarkt stoppen. Dort ist der Strand sauber mit wenigen Gästen. Geht man weiter nach außerhalb gibt es auch Bars mit lauter Musik, falls man Lust hat. Insgesamt lädt der Strand zum Spazierengehen ein. Die Eltern des Vermieters zeigten uns alles mit dem Auto, wo es welche Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt und empfahlen uns gute Restaurants und eine regionale Spezialität. Man kann auch mit dem Bus nach Gaeta fahren, wo es eine erhaltene Altstadt gibt. Der Vermieter ist erreichbar, unterstützt und berät (Autovermietung, Ausflüge). Wir würden jederzeit wieder dorthin reisen. Man kommt gut mit dem Zug nach Formia und von dort nach Rom oder Neapel. Wir fühlten uns herzlich aufgenommen und zu Hause.

Complimenti

Abbiamo trascorso la nostra vacanza estiva presso l'attico con terrazzo e ci siamo stati molto bene. La struttura è arredata con eleganza ma anche praticità. E' possibile usufruire del servizio biancheria sia da letto che bagno, ed è utile evitare un bagaglio ingombrante. L'appartamento è dotato di confort e accessori utili durante il soggiorno. E' anche fresco e pulito. Il proprietario è stato molto preciso e disponibile.

Ottima posizione, posto tranquillissimo e fresco malgrado il caldo afoso della prima settimana. A circa 200 metri dal mare, comodo ai servizi. Alloggio molto curato e full-optional! Proprietario gentilissimo .

Ausgezeichnete Unterkunft in Strandnähe

Wir haben die schöne Terrasse genossen und waren in 5 Minuten am Strand. Ein Supermarkt ist ca 10 Minuten entfernt. Die Restaurants waren in ca 30 min Laufentfernung . Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Äußerst entspannender Aufenthalt!

Apartment ist wie im Inserat beschrieben: es ist zweckmäßig und geschmackvoll ausgestattet und bietet alles für einen gemütlichen Aufenthalt. Hervorheben möchten wir die uneinsichtige Terrasse (sogar mit Dusche ausgestattet) und die Klimaanlage, die auch bei Hitzeperioden angenehme Nächte garantiert. Angenehm ruhige Wohngegend. An der Rückseite des Apartments liegt ein Fußballfeld, das aber während unseres Aufenthalts nicht bespielt wurde - wir hätten nichts gegen ein italienisches Fußballmatch gehabt (tolle Sicht durch zusätzlichen Balkon hinter Küche) :-). Ideal für eine Familie mit Kindern. Der nächste Strand ist fußläufig in 3 Minuten erreichbar (Kosten: 5€ pro Liege/Sonnenschirm oder 2€ pro Person bei Mitnahme eigenen Equipments, zusätzlicher Sonnenschirm und Strandliege im Apartment vorhanden). Ein öffentlicher Strandzugang findet sich in der Nähe (zu Fuß etwa 15 Min., bequemer natürlich mit Auto zu erreichen). Gute Infrastruktur (Supermarkt, Bäckerei, Restaurant...). Auch historisch Interessierte kommen in Formia&Umgebung nicht zu kurz... Ein herzliches Dankeschön an unseren netten Vermieter Diego! Nur der österreichische Schulbeginn hat uns an einem längerem Aufenthalt gehindert! Verena, Martin & Livia

Très bel appartement, propre et spacieux. Propriétaire très sympa également. Petit bémol juste sur l'accès à la plage : pour accéder à la plage publique, prévoir de marcher au moins 15 min car les accès directs en face de la copropriété sont privés (demande de 2 euros par pers pour accéder à la plage publique)...Du coup, nous allions en voiture à la plage pour prévoir transporter parasol et petits sièges de plage.

Die Wohnung war genauso, wie sie auf den Bildern vorgestellt wurde. Sehr sauber und gemütlich.

Wir waren von Anfang September bis Mitte Oktober in der Wohnung. Diego ist ein äußerst engagierter und freundlicher Gastgeber gewesen, der sich sehr um uns bemüht hat. Sobald wir ein Problem hatten, hat er eine Lösung für uns gefunden (die Sache mit dem meistens nicht funktionierenden WLAN vergessen wir einfach). Sogar sein Vater hat mir mit seinen Beziehungen ins Krankenhaus einen erforderlichen Arzttermin verschafft und damit unseren Urlaub gerettet. Dafür nochmals mein ganz besonderer Dank. Wir haben sehr schöne mehrtägige Ausflüge nach Rom und Ercolano unternommen und sind gerne wieder in die Wohnung zurückgekehrt. Die Restaurants, die wir besucht haben, waren ausgezeichnet. Aber es war auch ohne weiteres möglich, in der Küche ein Essen zuzubereiten, die Küchenausstattung war ausreichend. Fazit: Wir sind erwartungsgemäß nicht enttäuscht worden, hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in Formia und bedanken uns hiermit nochmals für das Vertrauen und die reibungslose Abwicklung. Tolle Wohnung, toller Gastgeber

Wir haben diese Wohnung für eine Woche gebucht und waren im großen und ganzen zufrieden mit allem, was die Wohnung angeht. Bei der Ankunft haben wir bemerkt, dass wir dummerweise die genaue Adresse nicht mitgenommen haben. War aber kein Problem, weil ein Anruf bei Diego, dem Vermieter, reichte, und er uns natürlich weiterhelfen konnte. Auch sonst muss man sagen, dass Diego ein Gastgeber ist, der sich kümmert. Wenn etwas nicht stimmt, einfach eine kurze Nachricht aufs Handy schicken oder eben anrufen. Zur Wohnung: Diese befindet sich am Ende einer Sackgasse und ist eigentlich sehr ruhig gelegen. Nur in einer Nacht wurden wir mal von dem Gebell der Nachbarshunde geweckt. Sie ist im obersten Stock eines Mehrfamilienhauses gelegen, war geräumig und sauber. Mit den zwei Klimaanlagen und dem Ventilator waren auch die heißen Tage unterm Dach kein Problem. Nachfolgend noch ein paar Dinge zur in der Anzeige genannten Ausstattung, die vielleicht für das ein oder andere Missverständnis sorgen könnten: -Parkplatz: bedeutet für mich, dass es einen zur Wohnung gehörigen festen Stellplatz gibt. Ist hier nicht der Fall. Man muss an der Straße parken. Dort ist aber, zumindest bei uns, immer ein Platz frei gewesen. - drahtloser Internetzugang: hier nicht, wie meist in Deutschland der klassische DSL-Anschluss, sondern Zugang übers Mobilfunknetz mit 5 GB schnellem Internet inklusive. Deshalb die Bitte des Vermieters auf das Streamen von Filmen o. ä. zu verzichten. Hatten wir eh nicht vor, wäre aber auch aufgrund der langsamen Geschwindigkeit nicht möglich gewesen. -Kaffeemaschine: hierbei handelt es sich nicht um die klassische Maschine, mit der man Filterkaffee kocht, sondern um einen sog. Espressokocher, also diese achteckigen Geräte aus Aluminium, mit denen man den Kaffee dann auf dem Herd kocht. War aber kein Problem; im Gegenteil: Wir haben uns jetzt auch so ein Teil bestellt :-) -Wasserkocher: nicht vorhanden bzw. haben wir nicht gefunden. War aber auch nicht schlimm, so wurde das Wasser halt im Topf auf dem Herd gekocht. -Zugang zum Strand: der beschriebene wirklich sehr kurze Zugang zum Strand kostet Geld, bei uns 2 Euro pro Person und Tag. Für den Zugang zum öffentlichen und kostenlosen Strand muss man einen viel weiteren Weg in Kauf nehmen (etwa 20 Minuten Fussweg). All diese Dinge dienen nur so als Hinweis und hatten auf unsere Bewertung keinen Einfluss. Auf diesem Wege nochmals herzlichen Dank an Diego für die schöne Woche in seiner tollen Wohnung.

Schoene Wohnung in Meeresnaehe

Sehr schöne Wohnung mit Meeresbrise inklusive.Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet.Große Dachterrasse auf der man den Tag gemütlich ausklingen lassen kann. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet,so das der Hobbykoch sich frei entfalten kann.Diego ist sehr hilfsbereit und bemüht. Das Gemüse aus seinem Garten war ein willkommener Genuss. Danke an Diego

Perfect place to be..

Just perfect, like the appartment below! This is our 2nd year in this residence. The owner is great, 24/7 available when needed. The terrace is perfect to stay, great view, the outside shower, after going to the beach (wich is not even 5 minutes walk!) is perfect. We sure will come back, no better place to be!

APPARTAMENTO INCANTEVOLE

Eravamo in due, ma c'é posto per una famiglia di 5 personne. La terrazza è tanta bella e confortevole che ci siamo rimasto tutto un giorno per godere dell'atmosfera piena di calmo. Il proprietario Diego era gentillissimo. La casa è ben fornita. Era un vero piacere di aver trovato questo bellissimo posto. Noi abbiamo visitato soprattutto i dintorni ma c'è anche disponiblità per visitare Roma, Napoli etc... Grazie a Diego abbiamo avuto una bella esperienza estivale. Viviane e Michel

Wonderful

This is a wonderful Penthouse Villa. The Cleanliness was amazing. The Villa is in a very quiet gated complex where we always felt safe. The beach was a few minute walk away. The city of Formia was rich with culture, activities, great food, and of course great gelato. We would highly recommend spending your holiday here. The Villa also has very spacious kitchen with all the amenities and the patio is just a wonderful place to dine Al Fresca, or enjoy a bottle of wine. Diego was fantastic to deal with. Super emplacement pour cet appartement

Nous avons séjourné une semaine dans cet appartement très bien agencé et bien meublé (exactement comme sur les photos). Nous avons vraiment apprécié la terrasse sur laquelle nous avons pris tous nos petits déjeuners et repas et aussi le fait d'être à 5 mn à pied de la plage et 10 mn des commerces (ou 10 mn en voiture du grand centre commercial ITACA et ces 60 boutiques) Formia est une ville du sud de l'Italie donc avec ces qualités et ces inconvénients qu'on oublie rapidement. Nous recommandons cet appartement pour un couple avec 2 enfants. Diego est un hôte très gentil et disponible.

Sehr schöne Wohnung, gute Lage!!!

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung. 3 Schlafzimmer, große Wohnküche mit allem , was man so braucht. Sehr netter Vermieter. Bei unserer Ankunft hatte er bereits den Kühlschrank für uns gefüllt! Auch viele andere Sachen , wie z.B. Duschgel , Waschmittel, Salz ,Pfeffer etc. sind vorhanden. Fußläufig sind einige Restaurants und Supermärkte zu ereichen. Am schönen Strand ist man in 3 min zu Fuß!!!!! Nach Rom kann man sehr gut mit dem Zug fahren!

Ottimo appartamento

Coppia con bimbe di 7 e 3 anni, abbiamo alloggiato per 3 notti a settembre. Ottimo appartamento, ben tenuto, con tutto il necessario (anche di più), bella la terrazza ove si può cenare e far la doccia rientrati dalla spiaggia (si percorre la breve via Olimpia, si attraversa, e ci si trova al Lido Scoglio). Permette di accedere a tutta la bella Riviera di Ulisse, comodo anche raggiungere la Reggia di Caserta.

Appartement tres agréable.

L'appartement est très confortable et spacieux et très propre.il y a une belle terrasse très agréable pour les repas .La plage est vraiment proche mais payante. Il ne faut pas hésiter à découvrir les environs, Gaeta Sperlonga....

Superbes vacances en Italie

L'appartement est un endroit idéal pour se sentir bien, la terrasse (fantastique )était notre endroit préféré pour manger , profiter de la vue et du soleil. perfect place for a perfect holiday

The flat is very nice, very clean and comfortable. I love the kichen and the terrace with flowers. We stayed two weeks, and we loved sitting out every evening having our dinner, enjoying the local wine.View to mountains was incredible and the sea just few steps from the appartment (100 metres). Diego and his parents very nice, helpful people. Parking was easy in the street. I hope we can come here, I highly recommended. Many thanks to Diego for the perfect holiday in this apartment.
