This 50's ranch cottage--built by my grandfather-- sits high up on the edge of Tom's Hill in a remote spot in Truro. It affords you a 360 degree view and plenty of privacy. Enjoy a spectacular marsh view while taking an outdoor shower; take a private path for a 5-minute walk to the bay (Cornhill) beach; gaze at the Pamet harbor and river from the kitchen sink. Our wrap-around deck offers shade and ever-changing views of the sunrise, marsh, harbor, and sunset over the bay all the way to Provincetown, including bay views from bathrooms and 2 of the 4 bedrooms. The casual, eclectic decor with paintings by Jewel Ryman create a relaxed, cozy atmosphere. This is not a trophy home with granite counters and fancy fixtures--it is authentic and retro to give you a real Cape Cod experience.
Bed set-up: 1 queen; 2 doubles (each in a separate room); 2 twins in one room.
Pets are negotiable.

Our family loved our stay at Tina’s home. It was perfect for our family and we loved the gorgeous deck and exploring the beach. The house was just as described and loved the cape cod vibe throughout. Outdoor shower was perfect after our beach days.
The private location of this house can’t be better. Spectacular views from the spacious deck, the living room and two of the bedrooms. The beach is a short walk away, perfect for long walks early in the morning or late afternoons. The house is charming, but it needs some decluttering to make it more appealing. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely go back.
You can't find a more beautiful location than Truro and specifically the location of this house. We barely even spent any time in the house and just lived on the deck watching amazing sunsets, shooting stars, and even a double rainbow!!! The walk to the beach depends a lot on the tide and the stairs going down could use some TLC. I would hate to see someone get hurt (a child, or someone not steady on their feet). Other than that the house was everything we expected and Tina was an accomodating host.

Great location!!!
It was such a nice holiday break. The view was absolutely gorgeous! Our children (12 and 14) had a great time swimming with our dog.
We would recommend this place to the nature lovers and the ones who are looking for a quiet retreat.
Thank you, Tina for sharing your place
Best,
Diane & family
Magnificent location, well equipped kitchen, birds and chipmunks to watch at the feeder while cooking. Perfect.

About the host
Hosted by Tina Ryman
I am originally from New Jersey and 6 years ago moved to western MA to be closer to the Cape and my alma mater, Smith College. I'm a retired freelance medical writer specializing in patient education. Though I enjoy traveling around the world, my favorite place is still my house on Cape Cod.
Why they chose this property
I grew up spending part of every summer on this property. So I'm very thankful that my grandfather had the foresight to purchase the land so long ago. It used to take 2 days to get to Truro from NJ! Numerous Cape residents have remarked that this is the best view on the Cape. And unlike the trophy homes that have sprouted up in my town, this house built by my grandfather provides an authentic piece of old Cape Cod. Most of my tenants are repeat renters and that is why there is limited availability.
What makes this property unique
Location Location Location Authentic 1950's beach cottage with funky decor Recently added WiFi and a smart TV Walking access to a channel that is great for protected swimming at high tide and for nice walks to the jetty at low tide--my dog's favorite activity!
