Great value for the location
The apartment is in a great location at the center of anywhere you want to go. Updated bathrooms and pretty clean. Only downside was lack of hot water (which the sign in the bathroom says happens sometimes) and some street noise.

Terrific location and accommodations
My family of (5) enjoyed our Roma adventures from this very convenient apartment. The location is superb, very close to vibrant restaurants and both the Campo and Piazza Navona. Towels and soap with shampoo were neatly stacked on the beds and we were greeted upon arrival to help navigate check in. We look forward to a future visit!

Best location in Rome but....
Absolutely the best location in Rome to see all the sites within walking distance. But the pictures on line are not accurate of the current condition and must have been taken immediately after a remodel because it does not look like that now. The floors are dirty along with the walls, mold in the shower, no ventilation in the bathrooms, the shower drain is clogged so it leaks out on the bathroom floor, the tiles are falling off on the shower bathroom walls and there is no heat in the back bathroom, lots of street noise, limited hot water, etc. We were there 3 weeks so we asked for clean sheets and a cleaning service after one week but the owner refused. He finally sent over one set of clean sheets halfway through our stay, which was very appreciated.. It could be a fantastic apartment with a thorough cleaning and painting!

Few tweaks and it could be perfect
Overall it was a positive experience. Let's start with the Location. You are 5 minutes walking distance from Piazza Navona. The Check-in process is flawless, they accommodate us for early check-in. The person in charge of the keys was available to answer any messages and very kind. The only negatives things are cheapy towels, one of the showers clogs up and the rooms feel like 'old' and not super clean, That could be because the structure is very old. Overall with a few tweaks, the apartment could be perfect and I am sure Luigi will take note of this. When Back in Rome we will definitely re-consider on of his proprieties.

Great trip, good place to stay
Would give 3.5 Luigi is a very gracious host and had everything very organized. The apartment has really good space, a nice kitchen with full amenities, and a great location. 15 minute walk to Vatican, good restaurant options nearby, and a short ride to the Colosseum. Apartment is pretty much as described though is a bit dark and entrance isn't the most scenic. Very comfortable beds and very quiet building so we slept great. Bathrooms weren't up to expectations but overall we had a good time. Some simple fixes and we'd easily give it a 4

Great location in Rome
Loved the location in Rome. Close to most attractions. One big disappointment was the 41 steps to the apt. We are all 74 and above and have bad knees. I knew it was on the 2nd floor but I did not expect that many stairs. I would not recommend this place for anyone with knee issues. Also, we had difficult time regulating the heat and the hot water. We reported a broken toilet seat on the first day and it was not fixed or repaired when we left on day 5. The transportation arrangements to and from the airport was terrific.

Amazing location in the center of old Rome
Apartment is very conveniently located, walking distance to most of Rome's important sights. You will need to bring your luggage through a small door and up what in US would be considered the third floor. There is a lot of noise from the street, even if you close the windows, so if you are a light sleeper, it may be a problem. The apartment has 2 nice size bedrooms with one in-suite small bathroom, the other bathroom is next to the 2nd bedroom. There is a washing machine which in order to operate you need to open the valve on the side. No dryer but you can also use the laundry across the street from the apartment. We tried using the AC but were not able to turn it on. We didn't bother the manager with it, it probably works with some special trick.

When in Rome
This is a great apartment, in a great part of the city. I had reservations about staying here as opposed to a hotel, but I was mistaken. Luigi and his team provided excellent service and were quick to respond to my many questions. You can experience living like a local here in this part of the city. There are little issues but they are just that, little issues and part of the deal. The access to the major attractions is outstanding and many good places to eat are steps away. There does not appear to be many hotels in this part of town, so you are spared that tourist “experience”. And the price is right. Say hi to the pallet guy who lives in the dooorway up the street.

Great Location!
We spent 5 days in Rome and this property was in a great location. Some great sights were in walking distance and there were so many shops and restaurants close by. Luigi was great to work with - he was very proactive, months before our trip, to ensure our stay would be enjoyable. This property was clean though a bit too cozy for 6 people. I would definitely recommend this property!

A great family vacation experience
What a great apartment. So close to the Piazza Navona! Plenty of room for the five of us. It was also wonderful having a washing machine. Check in was very easy. Even though we arrived early, we were allowed to drop off our heavy suitcases while they cleaned the apartment. After a wonderful lunch, we came back to a sparkling place. We would definitely come back!

Very disappointed; not as advertised
This was our last stay of our Italian vacation. We were very excited, as the pictures looked great, and our previous stays were awesome. Unfortunately, there were some dramatic differences from our other stays. We were greeted by the property manager, and she showed us how to use the key, but no other information was shared. It is advertised as having the ability to use the sectional couches as a twin or bigger bed. The sections separated when you sat on them, so we were not sure how sleeping on them would have been possible. There was two bean bag chairs as well as the sectional couch, but as adults, bean bag chairs are very difficult to use. There was a used roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. One of the toilet papers was brown, and it was not usable. We had to go shopping for toilet paper and paper towels. The 2 other apts/houses we had stayed at came equipped in both the kitchen and the bathrooms. The ironing board was soaking wet from a leak in the ceiling, and it was unusable. The second bathroom was very small, and it consistently overflowed when you used it, every time. In addition, there was a note about when hot water was available in the building and how to use it. This was not communicated to us, except via bathroom note. Both bathrooms had old towels with holes in them. The bath matt in the master was very dirty on one side, and we did not use it. There were no additional linens available, one smaller bath towel and one small hand towel was all that was provided. That required us to use our one towel to clean up the water. We did use the washing machine, and we closed the door as it was very loud. During the cycle, the false door moved out of place, and we were unable to get the door open. It took us about an hour to jiggle this and that to get the door open. In the smaller bedroom, there was something spilled on the side of the wall, and it was not ever cleaned. The dishwasher was full of dishes that we had to unload. The glasses in the cupboard were so dusty, we had to wash them to use them. We were disappointed to say the least, and we decided to leave Rome early.

Excellent location, great communication
This is a wonderful apartment in an excellent location. Within 150 meters you will find a bus stop, supermarket, pharmacy, and great restaurants. Very convenient walking access to major attractions, easy bus access to everything in Rome. Air conditioning kept the apartment cool in July, when outside temps were 95/35. The apartment owner kept us well-informed via email as the trip approached. Check in and check out, with car service, went perfectly.

Perfect home base in the heart of Rome
My family and I had a wonderful stay here for 4 nights - the rooms were clean and spacious, and the apartment was in the perfect location easily accessible by walking to all the major sites in Rome. The kitchen capabilities are limited, but we didn't end up cooking because of all the wonderful restaurants nearby. For being the in the middle of it all, it was relatively quiet, and the check-in/-out process was clear and easy, thanks to Luigi's excellent communication.

Could have been four or five stars but........
We booked this property based on it's location and its proximity to our sites of interest. The location was great but, there were issues. It's worth noting that we had to communicate with a property manager and not the owner. Upon our arrival (Saturday afternoon), we discovered that the AC in one of the bed rooms was not working. Additionally, there was no hot water at all. We reported this to the manager that evening. Someone came over Sunday a.m. and was able to get the AC working (blown breaker) but, not the hot water. They said that they would have a plumber come on Monday since, it was unlikely that one was available and willing to come on a Sunday. We were having to heat water on the stove and combine it with the cold in order to bathe. At this point, I asked for them to find an alternative place for all six of us to take a proper shower. Nothing was offered initially and this was unacceptable and disappointing. The Plumber was unable to resolve the issue on Monday. Finally, on Tuesday the property manager set up for a representative to escort us to another apartment, 5 minutes away so that we could take showers. Since we were departing Rome on Wednesday, I feel that this was way too late but, what choice did we have? Hot water is a basic and essential expectation at a vacation rental and we feel that this matter could have been handled much better. Why wasn't this checked out prior to our arrival? We feel like we should be refunded some of the cost of our stay at this VRBO. That is a fair request. At the time of this writing, the property manager is unable to approve this without the owner's approval. It's been three weeks since our stay and sadly this has not been resolved as the manager is awaiting said approval from the owner who is supposedly out of the country on some humanitarian mission and unable to be communicated with. If this is made right in my eyes, I will try to update this review but, the VRBO stated that I have until today to review our stay. The apartment met all other expectations and it was clean, spacious and the beds were adequate. The kitchen had all we needed to prepare and enjoy meals. If we had simply had hot water, this would have been a stellar review.

Wonderful apartment in the Centro Storico
This is a great apartment in a terrific location. The kitchen, which we used frequently, was well equipped, with a stove, oven and dishwasher! The air conditioners worked perfectly, which was a life saver, since we had record heat in Rome. Luigi provided prompt, reliable service, both before and during our stay - arranging transportation, providing great information, etc. All-in-all, we had a great stay in a charming apartment.

Great location!
This apartment is central to everything in Rome. It is spacious and has a washing machine. We were there during a very hot week and the air conditioning worked great. Lots of good restaurants within a few steps from the apartment. Only drawback is the lack of hot water. Be prepared to take cold showers. Check in was easy. Cant beat the location. I would stay here again.

Beautiful apartment in the Pantheon area.
Great apartment in the historic Pantheon area with its narrow, cobblestone streets and good shops and restaurants. Short walk to Piazza Navona and also walking distance to the Vatican. Only steps from two grocery stores and a taxi stand. Only one gripe. Notices on the wall of each bathroom warn not to have two people shower at the same time due to the age of the water system in this aged building which is understandable but we had no hot water for the last 4 days of our stay. Brrrr! Still a wonderful stay!

Perfect Location!
Our family of four just spent 5 days here, thoroughly enjoying Rome. We fell in love with Via del Governo Vecchio. The place is walking distance to the excellent gelato (Fridgidarium), wonderful pizza (Cantina e Cucina), and a grocery store (Carre Four) for when you want to eat in. Very comfortable two bedroom apartment. Walking distance to everything in Rome, from the Coliseum to the Vatican. And bus access it 2 minutes away, if needed.

Should be a great apartment, but not clean
Location is very good, close to Piazza Navona, walkable to Vatican, close to Campo dei Fiori, adjacent to many good and reasonably priced restaurants. BUT THERE IS A PROBLEM. The unit needs a fresh coat of paint, and MOST IMPORTANT, Black Mold all over kitchen walls and needs to be cleaned - very unattractive, and a potential health hazard for individuals with allergies or sensitivity to mold. Clean-up would be simple with a mold specific cleaner and a scrubby pad.

Just Okay
We had mixed feelings about this property. The location was great and the apartment was spacious. There are many great restaurants, gelato spots, and tourist destinations nearby. The apartment was decorated nicely, but definitely needed a good scrub down. There is dirt on the walls, dust & grime on the floorboards & corners, stains on curtains, stains on bedspread, missing tiles in the bathroom, floorboards coming up. The main hall toilet trickled water CONSTANTLY, which was very bothersome and noisy at night. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. Upon reserving the room we found out there is an extra charge for checking in on weekends and holidays, and as Americans, we did not know we were checking in on a holiday, so we had to come up with cash unexpectedly. We also reserved a van to the airport via the host, however the host did not tell us that we’d have to pay cash for that, for all the other taxis around town we paid via credit card. The person who met us (not the host and not the person we communicated with via WhatsApp) did not tell us that we had to push both exterior doors closed behind us, so we were yelled at by one of the residents for leaving it open accidentally. We also found out upon arriving via a paper hung up in the bathrooms, that the water pressure is terrible in the showers...not ideal for a family of four.

Gorgeous apartment in the historic heart of Rome
The apartment was beautiful and the area was amazing! Just a short walk away from Piazza Navona (where we spent most of our evenings people watching and eating gelato.) The apartment has a large front room which was perfect for our family of four to play games, eat, and just hang out as a family. The decor is sleek and stylish. Two grocery stores nearby make it easy to cook at home (even though there are many amazing restaurants just a stone's throw away.) Overall, this was the perfect home base for our chaotic-yet amazing time in Rome.
