Lovely chalet

Had a lovely stay here, nice chalet, perfect for the 5 day stay we had. Enjoyed the swimming pool, the children enjoyed the swings, arcades and entertainment. Shirt walk to kilkhampton and a short drive to bude beach. Really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely Chalet, Great Site, Wonderful Location!

Cheerful, family friendly chalet on a lovely site. Chalet has everything you will need and the site has a brilliant indoor pool. Furthermore, there's a bar, arcade, kid's club, bingo and evening entertainment in high season. Penstowe is a very short walk from the lovely village of Kilkhampton and about a 10-15 min drive from local beaches like Summerleaze, Crooklets and Widemouth Bay. The National Trust beach of Sandymouth is only a 5 minute drive and Clovelly Village (a personal favourite) is less than half an hour away. If you're looking for family attractions close by, would recommend the Monster Slip n Slide and the Milky Way theme park. Rosie's Kitchen next to Crooklets Beach is a perfect place to eat with kids. Helen and Garry are amazing hosts and their communication was second to none! They answered any questions I had promptly and were unbelievably lovely ❤️

Excellent holiday

We booked at fairly late notice. The location great. The property was perfect for us. There was even brilliant data covered meaning that we could stream movies at night using the hot spot on my mobile - which is rare for Cornwall (using the Apple TV we took with us). The gym and swimming pool were much better than I had expected; there was a big and well equipped gym. The chalet had everything we needed and we cooked most days. Lots of lovely places to visit nearby. Our favourite was Summerleaze beach in Bude town centre as it is all sand and very pleasant. I noticed that there are some negative reviews of the general location but I suspect this is either about who owns the chalet you rent, whether you expect the type of chalet you would pay much more for, or the impact of COVID on last years facility availability etc… The holiday was excellent for us, a family of 5. We would recommend to anyone.
