This countryside bolthole for four, has undergone a complete transformation from a former farm cart lodge to a gorgeous, comfortable, and cosy single-storey, self-catering cottage. You are welcomed into a bright and modern open plan kitchen and living room French doors lead out into a private garden where you can enjoy a glass of wine (or two), a BBQ and alfresco dining, all while enjoying the fabulous views across the paddocks and beyond where you can say hello to the resident alpacas and horses! Two generous bedrooms both equipped with sumptuous double beds, offer a relaxing night’s sleep and the perfect getaway after a day exploring the local delights. We are sure you will love The Cart Lodge as much as we do for your next Suffolk stay.

Really helpful and friendly hosts. Beautiful property in rural Norfolk. Lodge decor top notch, clean and well appointed.

Beautiful place to stay

The Cart Lodge is a beautiful place to stay. The owners have thought of eveything to make your stay comfortable, there are some lovely welcome touches (wine, chocolate, crisps) as well as some milk, tea, coffee, fresh egges from the hens. The kitchen has everything needed to cook easily. Everything was immacuately clean. The lodge overlooks the owners paddocks with horses, alpacas and hens, very interesting to watch. You are encouraged to walk round the grounds and ask questions about the work Nick and Alana are doing with their orchards/meadows and ponds to encourage more wildlife in. We left very relaxed and full of new information. You could not want more from a stay away.
